Andrea, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Smithfield Station, no elevator.. so you must have been in the Station... the restaurant building. The original hotel built in the late 1980's built on top of the Pagan River is on stilts hammered into the riverbed making it difficult to put an elevator in the building. The newer building (The Lodge), the colorful one where you checked in, does have an elevator and a balcony overlooking the Pagan Creek may be a bit quieter on your next visit?? We are looking forward to your return!!

We have the greatest staff here... the front desk, housekeeping, maintenance... the restaurant staff is great as well. We hope to see you back soon!!!

The restaurant building where you stayed was the first part of the hotel built, we had completely remodeled the 3rd floor in Q1 of this year and are planning a complete remodel of the 2nd floor soon. We did the outside balconies recently with the Trek decking boards and private balconies and understand the rooms need some TLC as well. Hopefully you will be able to return once the rooms have been completed and we will turn your frown upside down. :)

Carl, I am sorry to read you did not enjoy your stay, neither the guest before you or the housekeeper let us know about the hot water issue with the shower. I came in on Saturday as soon as I heard and replaced the shower knob and the water was fine after that. I apologize you had an issue and appreciate you bringing it to your attention to get it rectified in a timely manner. We certainly understand if you choose not to return but we do hope this will not prevent you from booking here with us in the future.
