A diamond in the rough! We rented two rooms for the long weekend of the International Tattoo! The staff was wonderful, the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable! If your traveling to hang out in the hotel room, there are no couches, but if you need a safe clean space to sleep that won’t break your bank, you found it!

the inn keepers are friendly and knowledgeable. the rooms are updated with mini fridge and coffee machine. bathroom very clean. wonderful water pressure in the shower. quaint hotel with character and all conveniences walkable to beach. thanks for a comfortable nights sleep.

Great location Good access to the beach. One block away. Room was perfect. Seemed to ge recently upgraded. New bathroom, vanity, flooring. Nice amenities. Bath linens, bed side light, plug in for devices, good TV selection. Good value.

This was our second stay while visiting in Norfolk, and we will stay again. I love the quaint old school beach vibe, but with the newly remodeled rooms. Walk across the street to the beach. Close to restaurants, etc.

This is a budget friendly, quiet, and sensibly updated 1950's style motor court. If you want Hilton amenities, go to Hilton. If you want a clean, quiet, affordable place to sleep, this is a great option. Take the hundreds of dollars you save each night and spend it on activities or dining. If I'm ever in town again, I'll stay here.

We have been staying at this property several times a year. It is in a great location for us to get back and forth from Virgina Beach and affordable. Owners are nice and outgoing! Will be back soon!

Front desk manager has a good sense of humor 😅. Was very accommodating and no issues with my stay there. Shopping area very close you can go walking or in car. Nice board walk of the ocean view

This is a one -story building 2 blocks from the water, so the ocean view is a complete lie. But the room was immaculately clean, and it's walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants, a coffee shop, and a bar or two. Quiet neighborhood as well. Very small place without many amenities, and bed made a lot of noise.

The Bay Inn is my "go to" choice when coming to Norfolk to visit family. Especially in the off season when the motel is a particularly good value, and the laid back beach vibe of Ocean View very inviting. The managers of the Bay Inn live on site, and maintain the property impeccably. Rooms are well set up with what I consider key amenities (mini fridge, microwave, desk for laptop use, roomy shower with good pressure) and devoid of clutter. Always spotlessly clean. Always quiet.

Flies and gnats were in the room, making the experience unbearable. Uncomfortable bed. Entire room smelled moldy. Save your money and go to another hotel.

We were amazed at the cleanliness of our room. It seemed freshly renovated and painted This was a budget one night stay, and we were very happy to find it was a perfect choice. Plenty of fluffy towels, a microwave, coffee pot, and fridge. Fellow at check-in was efficient and friendly.

Nice find.
Room was exactly as depicted. Nicely updated and clean. It also has nice tables and seating in the courtyard where you can eat outside if the weather is nice. Easy parking. Location is close to Norfolk beaches, and only a 20 minute or so drive to Virginia Beach. Owner was really hospitable. Would stay here again.
