It wasn't really a typical resort that we had thought a resort was supposed to be. It feels more like a nice family-run getaway chalet thing. We had 3 meals in their restaurant. Fish and chips is great, breakfast is just so so, 4-5 warm dishes with some fruits, bakeries, deserts, overall a bit overpriced. We didn't get to use any of the facilities because of the weather, so can't really speak for that part. We did enjoy the TV, there are so many channels to watch, made it a cozy night time. The biggest complain we had is flies. There were flies in our room. There were flies in the restaurant, kind of annoying and concerning. What made it worse, I saw a fly lying in the milk container during the breakfast... Might be different during peak season.

This resort was fantastic. Very friendly staff. Completely pet friendly, our dog was off leash the whole time we were there.

Beautiful Stay
This was our 2nd visit to Northridge Inn. We love how beautiful the property is and how it truly feels like an "experience" rather than just a hotel stay. We've stayed in the Cabins, and most recently the Lodge Rooms. Both were super cute and cozy. The lodge had a very spacious sitting area with a fireplace. We purchased a log and had a nice fire with the kids which truly added to the experience. The bathrooms are super tiny which was challenging. The rooms were clean, but maybe could have used a little extra care. We found a couple random items on the floor and under beds. There are kayaks and canoe's available to use, as well as bikes. The resort is also very dog friendly which we loved. The kid's enjoyed many hours in the pool and hot tub while we sat by with drinks. The main lodge is beautifully decorated. The restaurant is stunning, I can see how they host many weddings. The service was a little hit and miss. It was pretty clear that they were understaffed. Every time we ordered even just a latte it was almost as if they hadn't had that request before. We ordered drinks straight off the bar menu located on the bar and all the tables out by the pool, but the bartender at the time had never made it before and seemed to be guessing how to prepare our request. Although everyone was nice, some of the staff definitely seemed to be quite stressed, which is understandable if they are understaffed. Overall it was amazing and we look forward to our return.

Great Place for Young Couples & Families with Kids
North ridge is a beautiful property, but not a good choice for older seniors like us. The steps going down from the main building are an obstacle course with the result that my 84 yr old husband almost fell twice. Also, there were no grab bars in our bathroom. It’s a great place for young couples and families with kids. We greatly enjoyed the serenity and beauty of the grounds. I suspect that they are having trouble getting enough help because service in the restaurant was very slow, and there was no daily housekeeping. Would people rather stay home and collect Trudau’s “free” money?

The property allows dogs, which was nice as we wanted a place to stay with our puppy. Grounds were well maintained and the hotel and rooms were nice. Unfortunately the only on site restaurant option was VERY overpriced for the quality of food. A lot of the options were not available every time we ate, which was quite disappointing considering it was a small menu to begin with. Staff is very inconsistent with mask wearing and Covid safety. Some staff didn’t wear masks at all, some had them on their chins, and a very small few wore them properly. Upon returning home, I thought I forgotten an expensive item in my room and was advised that if they located the item I would be charged an “administrative fee” and the shipping for it to be returned to me. Shipping I completely understand, but an additional fee on top of that is just a money grab on top of an already overpriced resort. When you spend $1000 on a two day stay, you would think courtesy towards guests would come into play when these things happen.

AFTER A SHORT RIDE YOU PULL INTO YOUR PARADISE FOR AS LONG AS YOU BOOKED IT FOR. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A RESORT THAT OFFERED MULTIBLE ACCOMIDATIONS AS NORTHRIDGE INN! FROM LUXURY MOTEL ROOMS TO GLAMPING IN THE WOODS TO THE NICEIST COTTAGES IVE SEEN 2 HOURS FROM GTA. BRAVO AND PLEASE KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB OF HOSTING A RESORT. (IT IS NOT AN EASY JOB RUNNING A BEAUTIFUL RESORT ACOMPYING A WELL TRAINED STAFF FOR ALL THE CUSTOMERS NEEDS!!)

Rooms misrepresented on site, also not very clean. Amenities weren’t well maintained. Breakfast shut down/chef left early both days we were there and we had to go looking for breakfast elsewhere (very limited options as the location was in less populated area). Guests in room above us were loud all night until 4am. No one around from the hotel to deal with this.

Before booking my stay, I read a lot of great reviews of this place. I was looking for a boutique hotel on a lake with top-notch food, amenities and service, and I was happy to pay $300 a night to meet those criteria. Unfortunately, the Northridge does not live up to the reviews and was not worth the extra expense. Where to begin? It's clear a lot of money was spent on the renovation of the hotel, and the common areas are just gorgeous. However, there is a lot of neglect visible around the property. Overgrown grass, spiderwebs, chips in the paint in the rooms. While the decor is instagram-worthy, it's obvious that underneath is a cheap, temporary building (like a cabin at a caravan park). The bathrooms in the rooms are tiny and lack light. I find that luxury is in the details, and those details are missing. Some things I would like to have seen are big, fluffy towels or robes in the rooms. I was visiting for a special occasion (mentioned when booking) and while I don't expect special treatment, a glass of sparkling wine or something in the room would go a long way to making guests feel special. The setting is beautiful, as is the restaurant, but the food and menu do not live up to the 5 star prices. The food is OK, but not good enough to warrant a price tag of $22-$30 per main dish. No espresso coffee available, but each cup was $4? Cocktails were amazing, but that's about the only impressive part of the food/beverage offering.

Beautiful northern getaway!!
Beautiful resort and location. Everyone was very hospitable and the resort was picture perfect. The menu could use a little work, as the food was quite plain and bland for the price. Otherwise everything met expectations and would definitely return.

Terrible experience with this hotel. I had bought 2 nights at The Northridge Inn as a Christmas gift to my boyfriend through Expedia and everything had been confirmed. 3 days before we were supposed to check in, I emailed the hotel to tell them I might be checking in late because the hotel is a 3+ hour drive for us. I then get a response from the hotel stating that they are closed for the season. I PANICKED because why was I able to book their hotel for a weekend away in January if they are closed? I shouldn’t have been able to book the hotel and receive an email confirmation if they are closed...My boyfriend was so excited about our weekend getaway that I had gifted him and I had to tell him “sorry, we aren’t going anymore.” I am completely disgusted that I wasn’t contacted by anyone in advance to tell me that the hotel in closed. If I hadn’t emailed the hotel to confirm, then my boyfriend and I would have driven over 3 hours from Toronto to get to The Northridge Inn. The Northridge Inn seemed very unapologetic and didn’t seem to care about any of this. What is even WEIRDER is that The Northridge Inn advertiseD winter activities on their website. Why have winter activities advertised if you are CLOSED during the winter? This whole situation was just awful and unprofessional.

Festive Stay
We chose to stay here for a few days between Christmas & New Year. Guest service was excellent throughout. King Room (overlooking lake) was very comfortable. On-site Restaurant & Bar was great. Would highly recommend!

Friendly Place
We only stayed one night but the reception was very friendly, the room was spacious and clean and the location was very quiet and in the back woods out of the way in amongst nature. We woke up to a picturesque view of the changing of the leaves on the trees and with the lake behind them. The decor of the rooms and building in general was very unique which gave a friendly atmosphere. Overall the price was great and we had a short but great stay, next time we would want to extend our time there and enjoy it more. My wife was very happy with my choice of accommodation and I would recommend it to others.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY
It may not look like much as you drive up. Just an other northern resort but looks are deceiving. This inn and resort defiantly has the WOW factor. With it's mix of rustic charm and modern touches it is both beautiful and comfortable. The employee's are helpful and friendly, the lake is just steps away and the real wood burning fireplaces at the inn, as well as our room were lovely. I am not sure what the cottages are like but if everything else is an indicator they must be nice. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is your place. Not a whole lot to do in the area it self but sometimes that is the best way to really relax. We will be back for sure.

Beautiful setting!
What a beautiful setting for this hotel/resort. The room was very clean with a nice size sitting area as well as 2 very comfortable queen size beds. The resort had a lot of things for people to do such as kayaking, paddle boards, a pool, and a nice long dock to relax on. It also has a lounge that is filled with board games which seemed to be a favourite activity for all families.

An issue with the drinking water that was not known until after sign-in detracted from the stay. The dining was adequate and lacked a choice for lighter dining. The service was very good, the accommodation adequate.but not quite what was expected. There seems to be little in the way of alternate accommodation in the area which may explain the less than bargain pricing.

Thank you for your feedback, it is truly appreciated. Our water supplied to the resort is from an underground spring. Which is wonderful! We are very fortunate to have this excellent supply and amazing tasting water. We regularly check the quality of our drinking water for the benefit of our guests. On the day that we had an issue with our drinking water (due to excessive rainfall), our guests were notifified about the drinking water immediately and all rooms had notices posted. Our water in the resort at various drinking points were from bottled supplies purchased by our management. We had on standby suitable bottled water for any guest who requested water at no charge to them. Thank you for your comments regarding the dining, I will pass this information onto our chef, I am sure that you did notice that we offer pizza/flat bread, salads, Mac and Cheese, chicken fingers etc. Thank you for your feedback and rating it is appreciated.

Thank you for your feedback. Although I am unsure which date in particular you stayed and reviewed our property I am sure that it was the 7th of July. The power outage experience on the evening of the 7th of July at 8 pm, was unexpected and unplanned by Hydro One. The headline of the news was "Hydro One reports 48,000 power outages due to storm". As you can imagine we were surprised by the blackout. We immediately issued candles, completed dinner and arranged for a generator as a backup. The following morning the entire team were called back from days off to support guests. We had complimentary tea and coffee station set up in the lounge area, fires lit, and a reduced rate buffet on offer. The power was restored sooner than expected at 9.15 am on the 8th of July 2017. The water, although from a wonderful spring, is power driven, and therefore yes, we did have water flow issues. We are disappointed that you did not feel that we stepped up during your stay and certainly wished that you had spoken to us about your concerns before leaving, we certainly tried everything in our power to ease the situation, however the power outage was out of our control.

Scenic resort
Chalet was very clean and contained everything we needed. The Chalet needed some repairs, patio door screen was ripped. Overall a great experience and we would love to visit again.

I love this place! Been here twice already.. The Challet is soooo cooool and comfy The chef is sooo good its totally worth the money spent on food.. The staff love their job and very pleasent.. I advised all my friends to visit :)))

Northern Gem
We stayed at Northridge Inn for one night. All our needs and requests were addressed quickly. The pool and water equipment (canoe, kayaks, paddle boats were readily available and in good condition. There is a lovely sand beach which is surprising for a northern resort. You can be as busy or as relaxed as you want. The meals were delicious and filling. It would have been nice to have had a choice of some smaller items on the menu. Loved the attention paid to the decor and simple details!

Beautiful, Cozy, and the food is best part:D
We stayed only for one night, but we wanted to stay their for a week! The resort is beautifully designed, we love the romantic decorations, the lovely patio lights, and the delicious thanksgiving dinner, especially the pumpkin soup! Will definitely go there again!

Buried treasure!
We booked two rooms at the Northridge for an overnight stay on a motorcycle trip through the Algonquin Highlands and we were pleasantly surprised! Here's why: - large rooms with comfy (albeit somewhat soft) queen beds - fireplaces - Pool and large hot tub (perfect for soaking out the sore muscles from being on the road) - Stunning view of Lake Bernard with beautiful extended land spit and dock - Really good food - it's a limited menu, but what they serve was superb--especially the Sunday brunch - Very courteous and helpful staff for $200/night this was a perfect place to stop and get some much needed rest!

I had stayed at this resort twice last year and my future husband I were going to have our wedding there next year. But this year when myself, my mom and my future mother n law went a few weeks ago it had really changed. I had known that it had taken new ownership. But they have taken away the rustic feel of the inn inside and out. They have cut down a bunch of trees painted and made the rooms more modern. Last year when we were they it had a great rustic feel to it and unfortunately its gone. They are planning to redo the pier and I hope that it isn't for the worse. Two years ago I was on the internet and found this place and the picture of the pier was awesome and made me think that would be a great place to have my wedding but I cant say that any more.. Unless they pull something great when they shut down for a month. I feel sorry for the couples that are getting married next year and liked the venue for the same reason that we did and get a shock and they have paid out all that money for their special day. The facilities were a bit run down. For example, no water pressure to take a shower. The overall room amenities need updating. The buildings etc. require updating as they are showing their age. Overall, not worth the fee they are charging.

Great family getaway....
This was a beautiful place with a ton of potential. Meals at the on site restaurant were very good. Rooms were spacious but are in need of some TLC (bathrooms, boxsprings). Lots to do to keep everyone busy (kayaks, bicycles, movies, evening bonfires). Good value for the price we paid. All staff members were very friendly and helpful.
