Shocked disgusted horrified of the Ashiana Hotel
I am of Asian descent. We believe the owners of the Ashiana Hotel are of Asian descent. We booked 2 bedrooms at the Ashiana Hotel. We have travelled to many countries and stayed in 5* stars to no star hotels. We had extremely high expectations of professionalism and respectful duty to their guests. Our experiences at the Ashiana Hotel, the UK , were of shocking disgusts, disappointments. We were seriously concerned about clarity of our booking. We arrived at 9.30pm. After several phone calls, the staff responded and came downstairs to receive us. They were dressed ready for bed. They gave us the keys to our bedrooms. When we opened one of the bedrooms, there were 2 beds. One was not made up. The 2nd bed was scrambled and it had been slept in by the previous guest.Please see attached photos. The bedroom was cold, smelt musty and damp. We opened the 2nd bedroom, there were 2 beds made up. Again We had difficulties contacting the staff. So we moved the bedding from one of the bedrooms to another. The 2nd bedroom was extremely cold, smelt disgustingly musty. There was a small heater provided. Towels were damp and smelled. We couldn’t settle left before midnight. There were no toiletries as stated in the Hotel information. Both bathrooms had not been cleaned for quite sometime. The Ashiana Hotel requires immediate inspection to reassess its capabilities and performance in order for it to meet British Standards of hospitality. Nil score rate.

Disappointed
Always stay here when down visiting family. Rooms always spotless. Untill this time. Rubbish left in drawers, mould on ceiling and round tap in sink.

Ok for a 1 night stay if on a budget
We booked 2 rooms 1 for my mum and 1 for husband and I as I was doing a local race We were given room 9 and 10 Staff were helpful and friendly Rooms were damp smelling both rooms had damp carpets and stains on them No bedside lights in room 10 or remote Desk from and old office very tatty Headboard not fixed Bathroom needing tlc Good points - spacious rooms and parking fine , and you cannot be too harsh when it was a cheap price we paid , so all ok for 1 nights stay but wouldn’t want to be staying for a romantic getaway or a treat

Not allowed into our paid for hotel room.
On the booking form it said to call the Hotel if you were going to check in after 11pm I did this and was assured that we could check in at any time as there would be someone on duty. On Sunday all flights were delayed at Stansted due to a power cut and to top it all the M11 northbound was closed. Delays were inevitable. As a courtesy we called the hotel to tell them of the delay and we were told we could not stay there as there was no one on duty after 11pm. We had paid for a room. Absolutely terrible service.

Super Average
Clean room with 2 double beds heater and shower. Mattress squishy, bedding plentiful and clean, the mirror had fallen off the wall, the chest of drawers had a missing drawer. No soap in the bathroom and only 2 towels. There was no milk with the condiments in the room. These are all little things and did not spoil our stay but clearly they could do better.

The wardrobe had dirty sheets inside, The bed had hairs and crumbs on, the drawers were filthy with crumbs and mould the room had a horrible smell, there was cobwebs on the ceeling throughout the bathroom

Room not heated, received a electric heater, room smelling, bathroom dirty, someone stayed before me and they didn t took the garbage from the client before me, I was afraid to use the shower..

O not use OYO
OYO totally useless. I booked and paid for hotel. Turned up at 9.45pm to check in - NO ROOM FOR US. Manager at hotel was great and found us another 5 mike's away. But OYO are useless.

I don’t like the property Beacuse they don’t have any secure car park and my van is nicked from the car park . They tell me cctv is not working .rubbish hotel fully rubbish

Night of Horror
The place was filthy, loved sharing a room with flies, service when we arrived was shocking we couldn't get in to register, checking out was even better just throw your keys in a key cupboard outside the hotel restauraunt when you left as there was no one there. The shower had rust on it and rust round the plug hole and looked like it hadn't been cleaned, in weeks. I wouldn't recommend this Hotel to anyone and would think twice about recommending you if this is the standard of hotels you provide, it was disgusting

Avoid!
Horrible, outdated, and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. A group of lads turned up in the room next door, the walls were so thin you could hear everything and woke us up until around 4am. There’s was no one to complain to, and only a cleaner there in the morning. Awful, I understand you get you pay for, but if that was the case then we should paid nothing.

Great little place if you are travelling.
Great little place if you are travelling for business. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food in the attached Indian is excellent!

The restaurant was excellent - one of the best indian meals I've had in a while. The rooms are basic, but good price, clean and comfortable. There is no wifi which is disappointing

Generally a good room however the toilet seat was broken during our two nights visit. There was no attempt to fix the seat, reported on the first day, or to clean the room before the second nights stay. The restaurant was excellent.

It never quite made it.
This is primarily a. Restaurant and on check in at about 8pm it was humming.,so we presume it was a good one! Check in at that time was clearly very difficult for the staff and took just long enough to become a little irritating. The room.allocated was larger than usual at the price, and included two very comfortable double beds, but oh dear, the hotel badly needed a visit from Alex, the TV adviser to managers!. No bulb in one of the reading lights, a tatty electric heater with no instructions, a large, cold bathroom, because its towel rail source of warmth was not switched on, damaged furniture, lining paper shreds hanging from the ceiling, bathroom floor badly marked, two drinking glasses of different sizes. Every aspect showed lack of this kind of attention to detail.. Pity, we were otherwise quite comfortable. No sign of the "Box on the wall of No 1" where we were asked to leave the room key - had to leave it in the door because no staff on duty at 9am.
