Gem of a guest house
Absolutely amazing place to stay, Martyn and Paula are so lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The room was brilliant and Paula's scrambled eggs are to die for. Highly recommend anyone visiting Whitby should stay there.

Great stay
Owners really accommodating, room was spotless, decor was nice (no hiding in 1950 like some b&bs!). Breakfast was brilliant, too.

Very comfortable centrally located B&B.

The owners were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and the property was very well situated near to the beach and main attractions. Would stay there again with no hesitation.

Lovely last minute find
Really enjoyed our two night stay. Lovely couple who were very friendly and helpful. We loved our room (room 8) the bed was very comfy and the bathroom a good size with lots of shelf space. The breakfast both mornings was perfect. Couldn't resist the homemade scones. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely book here again if we fancied a couple nights on Whitby.

Ellie’s Whitby just great
Val and Peter are lovely people they really make you feel very welcome their rooms are beautiful everything matches decorated to a high standard and very very clean,very good breakfast with plenty of variety even Vals home made scones fresh every morning. It was our first time at Ellie’s but we will definitely stay there again hewed visiting Whitby 10 out of 10

Pete and val are wonderful hosts, very friendly; a fantastic range of breakfasts to choose from, qua!ity food; rooms seem to be recently decorated, very clean and welcoming. We would definitely be staying with them again.

Excellent Myself and my partner had a first class stay at Ellie’s guest house Val & Pete gave us a warm welcome on arrival and advised with were to park before showing us to our room which was immaculate and very well decorated the facilities are first class Breakfast was absolutely delicious with the bonus of home made scones. My partner is gluten free but this was not a problem has her needs were well catered for by Val . We had the most relaxing weekend and will be returning in the future excellent place to stay we’ll above average.

Lovely, comfy stay
We had a very warm welcome. Our room was spotless and well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay including quality toiletries, a hairdryer and plentiful tea, coffee & biscuits Breakfasts were very nicely cooked to order - we certainly didn't go hungry!

Lovely accommodation in a Great Lake cation, five minutes from everywhere and so clean too, breakfast was fantastic and cooked to order, we will be returning next year.

Loved Whitby. Pleasant stay at Ellie’s. Only thing l would point out is that although parking only cost us £6 it was advertised as free parking.

Great hospitality couldn't do enough for you friendly couple very helpful on we're too go and directions, a few stairs but we expected that good breakfast coffee and tea in your room replenished every day

Had a very relaxing couple of days. Hosts were fabulous, Had a great breakfast in a very friendly atmosphere. Within easy walking distance of everything. Would definately stay here again 10/10.

Nice and close to shops and sea. The hosts val and pete made us very welcome. They were very helpful with places to go to. The room was clean and comfortable. Would stay there again.

Brilliant 4 day break in Whitby
Excellent guest house, friendly owners, comfortable room and bed, lovely breakfasts, very good wifi - what more can one ask for? However, rail travel to Whitby is problematic: with only three trains a day between Middlebrough and Whitby, train delays frequently result in missing the connection at Middlebrough. At least a taxi on to Whitby is provided free of charge. The two companies sharing the single line to Whitby (one being a tourist steam train) should sort out their timetables so as to make these missed connections a lot less frequent.

happy holiday
very friendly, comfortable and happy stay. Food very good rooms excellent and catered for every need. It was a convenient location for both areas of the town, although when coming back from the harbour there was either a hill or lots of steps but after a while we were used to them. I would certainly recommend Ellie's Guest House.
