Nice stay
The girl at the counter was very nice and accomodating. Room was clean, nothing fancy, which was fine. Close to restaurants, quiet and served it's purpose. Would stay again if I ever passed that way again.

OK Hotel. Manager difficult
My husband and I stayed at this hotel twice. The first time was by chance. I need a handicap room, and by chance, they had one available when we stopped on our drive to mid-Florida. We thought we might be able to reserve the same room for the return. I found a better price on the web than we had payed as walk-ins and called the hotel to find out if the handicap room was available. He said it was, but to get it, I needed to buy immediately at the higher price from him, or have it requested in my 3rd party reservation. I would not be able to add it if the 3rd party reservation did not specifically request it. Fine. (To get the accommodations request listed on the reservation, use the "chat" option). He was very disagreeable, gruff and raised his voice to me about trying to reserve through a 3rd party site. This attitude has never happened to me with any hotel. Why would I reserve any hotel if the accessible room is already booked? I need to know. Why do they have contracts with 3rd parties if they are disagreeable to clients who use them? Once reserved, I called again to confirm I needed the handicap room and he was rude again - even though he had asked me to do this step. I spoke to the check-in person upon arrival, asking who I would have spoken to when calling during the day (the Manager!), and if that person would be there before I checked out. I was able to speak to the manager the following morning. Once again he was disagreeable and raised his voice. He clearly was angry I had booked with a 3rd party vender. When I questioned why he seemed to so angry he really lit into me on how people only thought about money. We will not stay there again. I really appreciated the walk-in shower, chair and toilet bars which were indispensable for me. The room was adequate. They are refurbishing at the moment so it may be better eventually. BUT, with a manager like this, I can not imagine they will get many repeat visitors. We never interacted with this man during our first stay. I politely tried to discuss things with him - but his reaction was the same as over the phone. If I owned this hotel, I would be looking for a kinder, more public-oriented manager.

Disappointed
Rate was very reasonable. Room was warm and musty upon entry. Hotel interior is very outdated. Wallpaper was peeling away, toilet was not clean and although linens were clean on beds, beds were uncomfortable and low. We will not book a room here again

This hotel was very convienient to where I was going and I was well taken care of. At first, they could not find my paperwork from you and they told me they were sold out, Finally the fax came in and they found me a room. Overall, a good place to stay

For some reason they don't serve breakfast anymore. That was a real let down.The fitness room consists of nothing.The staff were friendly and helpful. I'm not sure if I'll be coming back again.

Decent hotel
I was happy to find a clean hotel that was also pet friendly. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were just okay, but not bad. There's a lot of construction going on so it was a little hard to find the road it was on, however it was very convenient to a Ruby Tuesday's right next door. Night staff was nice. Overall I liked it enough to come back.

Decent location, poor customer service
At check-in, I was told they did not have the room I paid for available - only a King room (which was supposed to be $10 cheaper). Front desk staff was rude. Room was dirty - broken glass in the bathroom floor, sheets were damp, entire room smelled of mold. We won't be back here.

The air conditioner had mold on it. The blank had worn spots on it. The walls had marks. The pillows were so old and worn. The pool was closed the whole time we were there. The place is very out dated and smells terrible.

I am embarrassed to say that I made an error when I just reviewed this hotel. We stayed at 2 different hotels this weekend and the other hotel was terrible. This hotel was absolutely fine. My apologies for the negative review.

Never again!
We have stayed here in the pas, but hotel did not live up to previous visits. First off when we walked in there was a strong air freshner odor. While standing at front desk the cigaret smoke odor knocked you aback. The excuse was it was coming from outside. It continued aroun he hall. It permeated our room at night. We were given keys to one room and the beds swerve unmade. I went back to desk and given another room. We stayed 2 nights. Our room was not serviced other than picking up dirty towels. Excuse for that was the maid went home sick. The breakfast selection was very skimp. Not at all like before. No napkins either. Had to go ask for them. Upon leaving there was a young man and all his belongings on front porch and he was trying to beg a ride to Tampa, fl. The second night there were no vacancy sgna everywhere, but the cars in the parking lot did not seem to denote that. Also there was a sign at the front desk that they would be back later. Definitely not a bargain for the price. We will find somewhere else to stay next year. There are lots of options in that area. The staff was not a commanding at all. They acted like I was crazy because I expected things to be up to par.

VERY Disappointed.
This is the first time, I have booked with Expedia, and if this is the quality of the hotels they recommend, I WILL NOT use Expedia again. First glance the hotel seemed okay. We Checked in, went to dinner, then went to our room. First the comforter had a hole in it size of quarter, okay, worn. The blanket under it had a HUGE HOLE, this blanket should NOT have been put on the bed. Went to desk, clerk gave me another blanket, we had a king size bed and the blanket she gave me was for a twin, which also had holes, only several small ones. I took the blanket with the HUGE HOLE to the desk and showed the clerk, response was, I am sorry. Seemed I was disturbing her from what ever she was doing with a group in the lounge area. Well neither of us slept well so at 4-am when both of us were awake, we decide to check out. Had to ring the bell 5 or 6 times to get someone to come to the desk. Because I used Expedia, she couldn't give me a receipt. I told her that I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in the hotel and why, again, only response was I am sorry. I realize it was not her fault but it was MANAGEMENT and HOUSEKEEPING'S fault for the holy bedding. So very disappointed in Expedia and the Hotel. Everyone has told be to use Expedia, so my first experience is not a favorable one.

waste of money
For the money we spent this was a waste.. This place is a dump. The people in the room next to us were in and out of the room slamming the door all night, in the morning we went to the breakfast area and it was being used as a dog kennel by the front desk girl. The floors had food remnants littered around, our room{ non-smoking} had a dirty ashtray and other garbage when we entered. The staff was up all night drinking and partying with friends.

Arrived couples in for family reunion .
Found hairs on wall of bathtub. Beds not properly made. Pillows very uncomfortable. Ask for towels and washcloths, as not replaced after used ones picked up as had 2 day stay. Previously entering breakfast room, someone had got all the biscuits. We asked how long would be before more biscuits would be ready after waitin a while. They didn't even know that none was left. Second night had disturbing guest in hallways at midnight.

The room did not get cleaned for our second night stay. We also had to go hunt down towels and they said they did not have anymore. Nobody working that morning had a key to the towel closet. But the room was what we needed cause we drove from Mobile Alabama over night. We got to the hotel at 2:00 am

AWFUL, WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!!!!
Staff said they did not enter my reservation in their "spiral notebook" after the "fax" confirmation came in. Sold out football weekend and I assume they gave my room away even thought "late check in" was on reservation. Gave us a single bed room that was not cleaned. Dirty sheets, no towels or soap, trash cans full, bathroom filthy, pillows were on floor with no pillow cases on them. Do I need to say more????? When confronting front desk, female employee was not concerned and could care less about us. Had no option as it was 2a.m. and everything around sold out. Confronted Manager in the morning and she also was a complete joke. Only activity she did was stuffing her face with breakfast as curstomers tried to check out the next morning. She also tried to bill me TWICE for the filthy room and never ever offered any sort of apology. I WOULD FIRE THE ENTIRE STAFF AND I WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY THERE AGAIN!!!!!

Was not expecting that the room would have mouse poop on the window sill, or moldy wall by the AC where condensate water leaked on the carpet. The place was totally full, so we could not change room. Will spend an extra $10 and choose another hotel on my next trip. Have stayed in much better places for less money.

It will do when everywhere else is booked.
It was nice to have queen beds rather than doubles. However the room was so humid and damp we felt dirty and found it hard to relax in the room. The free breakfast was as good as its price. The staff was accommodating enough but I felt as though I was a bother to them each time I had to ask for something (extra pillows, towels,etc) as the staff were having a cook out with their other tattooed and pierced friends/staff. The desk clerk upon checking out, although being on the phone with family members, was kind enough to give me the key to the breakfast area to get my mother some milk when she was having a diabetic sinking spell. This was a last minute trip on a busy weekend when everywhere else was booked so we were just glad to have a place to stay, but I would never choose this hotel if other options are available.

The room had a sort of bad smell. The blankets on the bed appeared to be dirty. We requested additional blankets and they were a joke. Frayed at the edges and holes in them.

This is a poorly maintained hotel. Room was not clean at all when we stayed. Also, it is backed up to a wood line and not very well lit and we did not feel safe at all. I WILL NOT be staying at this hotel again!!!!

Near the attractions we were going to.
Hated everything about it. Wall paper peeling off the walls. Room smelled bad. 1 opened and used bottle of shampoo and 1 set of towels. No coffee pot and I pre-booked the room to have a coffee pot. The next morning I go to the what they called continental breakfast. That was a joke and no coffee left. I could not get out of there fast enough. Beds were dirty. Looked like they let someone stay in the room then forgot to clean it. still had shoe marks on the sheets and dirt. We slept on top of the blankets. I left a note letting them know of how dissatisfied we were and all the problems we had and have not heard a word from them. No one was around when we went to check out. Left the cards on the desk.

light not working, staff said it could not be fixed because of some kind of tv cable installation..... what??? coffee maker pot had not been washed. lobby smelled of cigarette smoke because staff hung around main entrance smoking half the time.

door latch would not engage door frame. blanket ripped at the foot of the bed. no tissues, almost no toilet tissue. coffee maker pot had not been washed. staff lounged around just outside main entrance smoking constantly, causing entrance way and lobby to have heavy smell of smoke.not a hotel we will stay at again.

Horrible room smell
The desk clerk did not give a verbal greeting,appeared to be distracted and did not welcome me. As soon as I entered my room I could smell a vey unpleasant odor. The whole room had a gasoline smell. I noticed the absence of the smell as soon as I left the room to go eat supper that night. The same smell appeared as soon as I reentered the room after eating. This smell made my eyes burn while trying to sleep. The odor soaked into my clothes and suitcase for several days. I realized that there was no clock in the room when I went to bed. I had to hope that my watch had the correct time for check out as the time zone was close. When I checked out I told the desk clerk about the smell in the room. The desk clerk said," Oh, you are on the end which is next to the laundry room and you might be smelling the propane." When I got on the road I thought," Propane?" " The whole place is run on electricity." The beds were comfortable and the room appeared clean.

Cleanliness Questionable
The room cleanliness was really lacking. There were some spots on the blinds that looked moldy. There was a spot on one of the top lairs of the bed and I'll leave it at that. If cleanliness is one of your main priorities, I would not recommend this hotel.

Friendly and a GREAT value!
The family that owns this hotel, lives at the hotel. They take pride in making you feel welcome. The contenintal breakfast was just fine, with good coffee. There is a small but functional workout room with cardio equipment only. There are coin operated washer and dryers. The room was clean, with some minor peeling of the wallpaper in the bathroom. The shower pressure was almost too much and it sprayed everywhere. The bed was comfortable. The room very large even with all our scuba gear, lights on charge, and scooters on charge.. I've stayed in several hotels in Marianna (my husband and I go to cave dive at Jackson Blue regularly). This is without a doubt my favorite.

Can't beat the price
For the price this was a good deal. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean, but the mattress, sheets and blanket were on their last legs. Free breakfast was pretty good cause it was Free. I'd stay again if the price remained lower than others nearby.
