Quirky and classy at the same time. Just really enjoyed our stay and admired the buildings and property. Staff were very sweet and kind. Loved the community seating in the dining area- met two lovely ladies and enjoyed conversation. Breakfast was delicious!

Its an incredible building, very quaint with loads of charecter. The staff are really friendly. Breakfast is ok, we didnt get sausages, but apart from that...full english with a wide range of sides. The room was comfortable, but no window ( due to the design.) Not really Alnwick, and you WILL need a car :)

The building is charming, a warren of antique rooms and staircases. We stayed in the Silver Bath room, where our 5-year-old was quickly entertained by the bathtub. The beds were comfy, the room was clean, warm, and delightfully quirky.

Over 40 years of restoration has resulted in this beautiful old property being brought up to date for peaceful accommodation, in spite of it being on the edge of the busy A1. Breakfast was very filling and done to perfection. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Delighted to see that pets are catered for. Will stay again if travelling to or through Northumberland. Alnwick as well as local villages have some excellent pubs for evening meals.

A real hidden gem in the Northumberland country side. Stunning location, lots to do nearby, quirky and homely accommodation. Would highly recommend!

I felt the property was extremely well furnished,and the very welcoming lounge area with huge log fire , was much appreciated. As we arrived on a very wet windy, dark evening. The parking area and path to the reception were a little difficult to find and navigate ,as very dark. Excellent breakfast facilities. Would definitely stay again.

A great place to stay! This is upcycling at its best and started before it was a trendy fashion. Tasteful, imaginative and quirky. The staff and owners couldn't be more friendly and helpful, even going to great trouble to out a banana when casually requested. A lovely stay, thankyou!

Family run quirky accommodation just off the A1.
I loved my brief stay at this unique accommodation. All staff are helpful and pleasant. The rooms are individually laid out and reflect the past use of the historic farm that Alnwick Lodge is based upon. Breakfast is very good with locally sourced produce.

Delightful
Delightful place set around a courtyard. Very clean and spacious room with everything you could need. We were in East Granary room. Breakfast was good - help yourself to toast, yoghurt and fruit salad while they make you full English. Cafetiere of excellent coffee. Very friendly staff.

Unique and quirky hotel. Absolutely beautiful rooms. Plenty of parking. Stayed two nights and it was perfect for exploring the surrounding areas. A lot of love has gone into creating this lovely place.

A quirky renovated Northumbrian farm, with an excellent breakfast and friendly obliging staff. Really convenient on A1. I'd definitely stay there again.

The check-in was efficient and friendly. The room was comfortable and in good condition. The issues around service occurred at breakfast. The room was not laid out in time for the start of breakfast at 8.00 and the member of staff on duty was 'overrun' and unable to cope. Several people had to wait long periods for simple orders - porridge, boiled egg and one left for work without having had breakfast. The quality of the food was very good.

Situated alongside the A1 (little road noise), the Alnwick Lodge is a very quirky and quaint accommodation. Very good parking facilities. We were greeted by the resident chickens (cockerill awakes at 0500!) We stayed in the 'Round House', which was accessed by a stone staircase and rope handrail. Room was clean. Bathroom was a little tight (low beams) and the shower was very restricted of head height (if you were over around 5 feet tall). All this said, we enjoyed our stay and the staff were lovely. There was an aroma in the bedroom from the fire which was in the downstairs sitting. Aroused great childhood memories for me, but could be a little disconcerting for others. We chose a full English breakfast, which was lovely. There are galleries where you can purchase old artefacts and furniture. A good location to get into Alnwick and other towns such as Alnmout.h, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Beadnell with the Lodge being only around 2 miles away

Lodges
We loved our stay at Alnwick Lodges. A quirky B and B with lovely, clean facilities and olde worlde atmosphere with a ready made antiques shop too. All staff were very friendly and hospitable even when very busy. A super cooked breakfast was available as well as the usual toast, bread, cereal, fruit. All lovely and fresh. Highly recommend a visit. Ideal location for visits to Alnwick.

I intend a return visit.
I enjoyed the unique, quirky charming nature of Alnwick Lodge. The breakfast offering was good, the service friendly and helpful. The ambience enjoyable. I can only comment on my room called Bull Pen as each room seems to have its own character. Had it been hotter I might have struggled with no window to get air in after the doors were closed, but I did love the ambience and met people who have returned for multiple stays.

I enjoyed the welcome and the breakfast service was quick and good. Less good was the water leak pouring through the bathroom ceiling. The room lacked complete privacy because of its glass partition to a corridor and curtains that did not quite cover the partition. Nevertheless the room had a lot of character, and the story behind the creation of this place was fascinating!

Lovely B&B.
A lovely old B&B. Quite unique and quirky. Bedroom was nice and bed was comfortable for a good nights sleep. Room did not have a shower (which I prefer) but did have a bath, which some people could struggle to get in and out of. Breakfast was fabulous with good quality produce. Evening meals are not served but plenty of options within driving distance. Only about 5 to 10 minutes drive to the centre of Alnwick and the castle. I would stay there again.
