The room was dirty, the pool looked disgusting. Trash can overflowing and scattered around side entry door. The breakfast at 830 am rubbery eggs over cooked, dry sausage, no juice machine broke, pastries were dry, coffee was good but no cream or 1/2 &1/2 only milk and its only there while breakfast is open. I question if sheets were changed or bed just remade. This hotel is not what I expect from Hampton and I would not stay here again.

Elevator was out without warning. We both have had our knees replaced. Way to hard to ho up to the 3rd flood using the stairs. Disabled couple came in after us same problem only he had a walker! They tried putting them on the 2nd floor!

Not a Hampton - pathetic receptionist and service
We checked in around 8 pm. When I asked the receptionist for a luggage cart, she said it wasn’t there in a one sentence answer and after that she hasn’t replied to any of my questions. My booking was already paid through hotels.com app but the hotel charged me again the same price. They said it was an incidental fee but it wasn’t. Mats in the front lobby and breakfast area are stinky and emitting bad odour. Half of the room where we stayed was vibrating all over the night. Not sure what it was. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

It’s old looking and not renovated. Doesn’t mean it’s dirty. It looks abandoned But what do you expect for the price, right? Pool was excellent and warm and clean with towels Breakfast was very good with good coffee. Rooms were very clean I’d stay again. Only bc of the price

The first room we were given was missing the door security plate thus allowing the door to look unlocked. They changed our room and that door shut extremely hard due to the hinge being loose. We have stayed at this property on numerous occasions,and never gad any issues. I don't know if they are short on help but a screw driver would certainly go a long way into fixing some of these issues. We were extremely disappointed with these issues. The front desk staff was extremely apologetic and professional in dealing with our concerns. We will stay there again but will not return if these simpke issues throughout aren't resolved.

This was our first trip with our puppy. They had a large walking area for dogs. We did not hear any noise at night in our room . Everyone was cordial to the dogs. breakfast area was clean and the food was much better than most other places. The

The room smelled and it wasn’t cleaned properly. The pool was dirty. The pool had accumulated dust and other partials and it was not being cleaned at all. The coffee station was wiped down with dirty rags. The sink in the bathroom was clogged and the bathroom was not cleaned upon our arrival. There were people outside begging for money and it felt unsafe. The front staff did not know how to check us in and we were double charged. Once by Expedia which was our original firm of payment and then again by the hotel.

Not worth it
I recently stayed 4 nights in this hotel and it was not worth the cost. The one positive is the location. The negatives: the TV in the room didn’t work, notified staff 3 separate times and it was never addressed. The Wi-Fi signal was so weak I couldn’t stream to my own devices. All of the staff I interacted with acted like I was interrupting their day (the one at the desk when I checked in looked like I woke her up) and were quite rude. The room wasn’t the cleanest and smelled like stale cigarette smoke and had a strong “chemical” odor (melted plastic?), both of which improved with some Lysol spray and Clorox wipes. The parking lot is quite dark and isolated when coming in alone late at night. Overall it wasn’t a good experience and I will find another hotel the next time I’m in Portage

Wish we’d have stayed elsewhere….
Bed was very comfortable, but the shower was less than clean. The elevator was run down. The hallway reeked of cigarette smoke. The women’s restroom on the first floor was in serious need of repair. The poor girl running the breakfast area was struggling to keep everything filled up. Overall, this was probably the worst Hampton Inn we’ve seen.

We got a room with dirty beds and bad air conditioner. After room replace we got broken door and beds with stains that apparently do not wash off. I will not use Hampton Inn in future

Check in staff was unfriendly. Pool area was extremely hot and the staff said the room temperature could not be regulated. Pool was not clean with clumps of hair in the water. Door to access the pool area was broken and staff stated we must leave it propped open to prevent being locked in. Hallways and elevators smelled strongly of smoke, which triggered my child's asthma. No telephone in the room as a means to contact the front desk. No wash cloths or shampoo in the bathroom and very few towels. Bathtub very stained. Extremely disappointed as I thought I could count on quality at a Hampton.

The staff was very friendly and nice but it the elevators were not working and the air in our room didn't work. It was really hot and I am going to try and cancel the hotel for the way back if possible.

The bell hop was broken and no one wanted to help. I asked for restaurant recommendations and was blown off saying there was nothing "good" around.

Breakfast bar was pretty sparse. Only a few apples but no other fruit. One hot option with the powdered eggs. Waffle maker was not working.

check in was over 2 hours late. The bathroom was not properly cleaned. (toothpaste on the front of vanity. broken hanger under the vanity.) Door to our room would not latch. (was just told pull harder). Handle to the door was loose and had to lift it up to get it to latch.
