폴리네시안 민속촌 가는 길에서 10정도 아래 쪽입니다. 그래서 선택. Close toPCC
300불에 방 3개짜리 집을(호텔은 아님) 구했다고 좋아했는데, 계산할때 주의하지 않았는데, 세금이 200불인...결국 500불을 지불했다. 위치가 하와이에서도 조금 뭐랄까....풍요롭지 않은 지역처럼 보였다고 할까? 하와이 거주민의 삶을 체험하고 싶다면 좋은 장소일 수 있지만, fantastic한 곳은 아니었다. 가족끼리 한 지붕 아래 머문다는 점이 그래도 좋은 점이다라고 만족하고 싶었는데, 주변에서 새벽 3시까지 파티..그것도 엄첨 시끄러운 음악때문에 거의 못잤다. 그날 운이 없었던 건지, 매주 그런지. 어쩌면 이곳에 머무는 사람들은 '밤에는 조용해야한다'는 걸 가볍게 무시할 만한 사람들처럼 보이기도 했다....규칙같은 거 싫어하는 사람들이 머물 것 처럼보이는 조금은 낙후된 지역으로 보였다...물론, 잠을 못잔것때문에 불평하는 것이지만, 어째서 아무도 불평하지 않았을까? 여행자가 아니었다면, 경찰에 전화하고 싶을만큼 화가 날 정도였다. 청소의 문제 때문인지 이 지역은 유난히 파리가 들끓는 점도 문제였다. 솔직이 위치가 폴리네시안 민속촌(Polynesian Cultural Center) 가는 길이라는 점을 빼면, 비용에 비해서 전혀 좋은 점은 없었다. 직원의 이메일 반응은 신속하고 친절한 것 같지만, 그래도 500불이라는 비용은 여전히 불만스럽다.

The original picture is not where we stayed but the house in front that was poorly cleaned. The pillows had stains, the bed lining was not washed. The windows and window seals were black. There was an infestation of termites and huge cockroaches (which local says it was normal but there should have been traps, there was none, but we bought some). We cleaned the the place with cleaning supplies we bought. The location was great for that country Hawaiian feeling. Again we did not stay in what I thought was the house on the picture. There was a washer and dryer which was a plus. It was a home feeling just the cleanliness was very poor!

田舎町に滞在！
一軒屋の一階と二階が別々に貸し出される一軒貸しタイプなので、毎日のクリーニングはないが、自分の家みたいに使えるので良かった。 築年数が結構経っているであろう劣化が 所々にあり。窓ガラスが割れてたり。 トータルではとても良かったが、 下の階のお客さんがとてもうるさくて 夜中まで騒いでいたので、残念でした。

Awesme vacation!
The house was great for 9 people! It was very clean and it had everything we needed even to do BBQ. Highly recommend. Janna the property manager was awesome! She was quick to take care of our needs. She let us borrow an extra air bed and gave us more chocolate when she found that the promised shampoo was missing. Very nice staff.

歩いて海まで行けますが、入れるようなビーチではありません。
部屋数は十分ありますが、部屋がかなりボロボロです。 壁のペンキが落ちてきますし、網戸が隙間だらけ・・・、ほこりはとにかくすごい。 ほこりなど気にする方には、お勧めしません。 厨房の換気扇が壊れてます、災厄なのはインタネットが接続できなくなったこと・・・ 1週間滞在しましたが、管理人さんのお顔は一回もあっていません。 また、思ったより遠かった事。 高速のようなハイウェイーで、空港まで車で　1時間、ホノルルまで　1時間以上。 さすがに毎日は辛かったです・・・、 重要なのは　近くは何にもありません。

Not a condo type but an old apartment
It was just ok -the apartment was clean but the sheets smelled old. There was no iron although I contacted the person that we don't have it but insisted it is somewhere in the house. The dryer was not working. The shampoo and lotion provided were old stock like it was supplied from another hotel and was given to us. The other units in the complex look like newer but since I went for the cheap, I guess. If I've only known there were other options. There were neighbors arguing one night we could hear them. There were no one else in the complex just us but were close to other residential houses.

Enjoyed our stay. Was able to check into the home late at night due to our delayed flight with no issues. Neighbors were great. They provided fans for all the rooms but unfortunately it was just too humid! But overall, wonderful place

The place was nice and clean but had a few disappointments.
The beds were comfortable and it was a nice location off the busy road. It was nice to wake up to the sound of roosters crowing. It was a .38 mile walk to the closest beach access point near a bridge so enjoyed walking there to watch the sun come up in the morning. But the place we were given was not the same as the photos which was a disappointment. Pictures showed a dining area with a table that would seat at least 6-8 but the unit we were given had a very small table with 3 chairs. Given that the place was advertised as sleeping 10 it would be nice to have more than just beds for 10. They did bring more forks when I asked but would be nice if they also had 10 plates, bowls etc. The place did have a nice size yard with picnic tables and they had a few beach chairs and boogie boards for guests to borrow which was also a plus.

Hale in Hau'ula
Our expectations were better than expected. Owner of the place was very pleasant. Easy to check in & out, stores and beach were near by. no lomger than 5-10 min away. Iy was a nice get a way from home overall. The only thing I would recommend is to have an extra fan as it does get hot in the house. It gets cooler at night but a boost of air would be nice as well.

Don't book this duplex. Stick with hotels!
First of all, we were surprised that this duplex was located in shady residencial area. Then soon we found out that the building does not look as nice as pictures. There is no office to check in, so we were notified by email the security code of the room. Then we found out that there were somebody else's belongings still there. The building has limited light and the room is not cleaned and there was a lizard walking on the wall and we didn't feel safe when somebody else can access to the room. Also there is no cable connected. So basically no TV to watch. We asked the manager to refund 100% but she declined the request. We asked the owner's name and phone number and she also declined to tell us. They are totally non professional. We lost over CDN$1000 for 2 nights booking there ended up not staying. If you are looking for a nice vacation, stick with hotels in North Shore area. Don't book duplex or other private owned places especially this one. Expedia should delist this duplex if they want their reputation not get hurt.

Not what we had expected
This place was dirty and had ants. It was not what we had expected. One of the beds were broken and not fixed before we got there. There were no pillows or sheets for the air mattress and the fridge did not work. Location was great but would not stay there again!

Away from city life
Not the greatest neighborhood, it's only 20 miles to Honolulu but an hour because it's 2 lane 35mph the whole way. Big space, quite a few necessities for cooking but several simple things to make us want to stay here again. Peeled stickers cover the bathroom vanity, dirty torn screens, zero breeze, several reviews say" working on getting air conditioning" 2 years ago. You'll sweat the whole time your inside. There are fans but when the power goes out at the rental house but no where else in town is when the sweating really begins. Rosters crowing and dogs barking non stop. Really enjoyed the views driving to and from. Enjoyed our experience at the house but little improvements would be huge.

Enjoyed the our stay. Nice having a house versus a hotel room. Would have been even better if there was an air conditioning system. The manager was awesome. Only other issue is would address would be the box that kept going off each day. And the issue that we were having with the dryer, but the manager was right on it to get someone out to fix it.

Party in the jungle
Huge apartment style space with kitchen and dim-sum style dining table. Lots of jungle with roosters and chickens running around everywhere, their cawing is a little loud during the night. Since some of the panels in the louvered windows are missing, noise from the neighbors music Friday night comes in if you stay on the upper floor. All amenities in the space are great, we didn't use the washing machine but they have one; even an ironing board.

Paradise away from the bustle
If you are looking for a beautiful and serene setting to enjoy a relaxing vacation, you have found the right place. This condo provides access and is closer to the North Shore which has better, less crowded beaches and activities and amazing restaurants. This IS NOT a hotel chain with a little bed in one small studio room with exorbitant hotel and parking fees and nightmare traffic, this is the gateway to the true Hawaii experience. There are several rooms to fit the family with kitchen and laundry facilities within the condo. Yes, you might be awoken by a rooster crowing but it was far less annoying than the traffic noises and sirens that we had with a separate stay in Waikiki and you can always wear earplugs and turn on the fan provided. Check in and check out was extremely easy with a simple text.

our stay was good with friends that was our annual Christmas/new years gathering gift exchange, relaxing and fellowship, I wouldn't recommend the place, house was missing window panes, Windows screens were DIRTY even the curtains, power went off TWICE, door fell off its hinge, pantry cabinets had food left over from dont know who upon arrival, place didn't provided free bottle water as stated in my reservation, WI-FI was not working properly took pictures of the missing n broken things and sent it to manager or owner the condition of the place as PROOF those things looked as it was when we arrived, other tenets complained about noise and falsy calling manager that cops were here due to noise, but noise shouldn't be continued on after 10pm as stated, this was reported around 5pm wasn't after hours YET!, people complained about noise but didn't complain about other tenets illegal marijuana smoking there cause we could smell it from our rental and seen it! and tenets complain about noise? give me a break!!!, I strongly consider the manager or owner if you would like a 5 star rating on your property from people that actually stayed they're you might want to check on your place and house keeping for feature guest. It was our understanding your group was still enjoying themselves at 3 in the morning, and caused other guests to have a sleepless night. - The power outage is beyond our control, but we tried to notify you as quickly as possible when the power would be back on. - The handyman fixed the hinges as soon as it was reported. - If we were made aware of the other guests un-permitted activities we would have addressed it immediately, as we did when we had a noise complaint. VERY STRICT VACATION HOME TO STAY AT!!!!
My friends and I DIDN'T like this place AT ALL because they were too strict. No drinking or smoking on grounds, no A/C, curfew is at 10pm, strict towel counts, and STRICT EVERYTHING. I was unaware of the strict policy when booking and wished it was listed on expedia. Worst of all, NO REFUNDS so that should of said it. It was better to stay at a hotel because extra towels and room keeping would have made a difference.

Enjoyed our stay but suggest A/C for summer months
Some nice aspects to these units but the major downside for us during the summer was not having air conditioning, which with 3 kids we wished we would have more strongly considered. The area has a nice rustic feel. The owner has made good efforts to make the hotel welcoming and modernized the kitchen and bathroom. With the heat of summer, windows needed to be open all the time, reducing a sense of privacy and there was plenty of noise throughout the nights from other tenants and neighbors.

Typically there are tradewinds during Summer that help combat the Hawaii sun, but unfortunately this year there wasn't and we had the hottest days ever reported. We are looking into adding air conditioning in the future. We also have our pest control company come out every quarter to spray inside and outside of the unit to remove unwanted insects. We hope you'd consider us again for your next vacation.

３ベッドルーム以上のコンドーを探していて最初５人で予約。娘２人と孫２人も参加することになりましたが宿泊定員は１０人になっていたので人数を増やして予約変更しました。　各部屋にクイーンサイズのベッドがあるだけで、他はエアーベッドの使用になっていました。エアーベッドはダブルサイズが３つありましたが、１つは空気が漏れて朝にはペシャンコに。 常識だと思って特にチェックしなかったが、エアコンと食洗器はありませんでした。暑くはなかったのですが、夜中に屋外で騒ぐ泊り客がいて窓を密閉したかったけどできませんでした。 シャワー、トイレは３ベッドルームなのに１つだけ。９人もいたので順番に使うのには往生しました。お湯の出も悪いし。　シャワーカーテンは突っ張り棒で吊るすようになっており、２度ほど落ちました。 メインの入り口ドアは暗証番号のナンバーロックなのですが、途中でナンバーが動いてしまったのか開かなくなり、外出時はキッチンのドアを施錠せずに出ました。ようやく直してもらったのはチェックアウト２日前です。 ４日目にトイレットペーパーがなくなりそうだったので補充を頼んだら、最初の３個だけで補充はしないとのこと。怒り狂って近くの７－イレブンで買い足しました。 ワイキキの喧騒よりはいいかと思いましたが、空港やワイキキ方面へは１時間かかり、やっぱり不便でした。 １０人までとなっているのにダイニングチェアは４つしかなくキッチンと居間に分かれて食事せねばなりませんでした。 比較的新しく、安いのはよかったですが、こんな所を予約してと、家族からは大ブーイングでした。 近所で放し飼いにしている鶏の鳴き声で毎日早朝に起こされ、最悪でした。テレビはついてましたが映りませんでした。

We loved our visit to Hale Maluhia. The lodging for the most part was really nice. When we first pulled in, we were all a little bit nervous from the outside view. Once we got in the house was very comfortable and well stocked. It would be nice to have some kind of table, dresser or night stand in the bedrooms to put clothes in, so we didn't have to live out of a suit case. The bedrooms only have a bed and some hangers in the closet, but is was do able. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and clean. We couldn't get the t.v. to work but it wasn't a big deal because we weren't there enough to watch it anyway. If we had needed it we could have called the renter and I'm sure they would quickly remedy the situation. The house definitely accomadated our needs, even if it only had one bathroom for 6 women. :) The location was perfect. Everything was accessible and easy to get to. I would definitely stay at Hale Maluhia again.

This is not hotel, it's old, neglected apartment
Horrible! Beware! Rip-off! Hazard! It's old apartment that owner just painted and put some cheap stuff in it (student furniture). Rust everywhere, peeled paint, peeled floor, exposed wires, broken bath, missing smoke detectors, torn rugs, no microwaveable dish, Internet is slow and barely works and is shared with the whole neighborhood... One Netflix account for several apartments he owns... so only first in watches... Neighborhood looks like slums. Missing glasses in windows, wind & rain comes in. Over-rated, worse than cheap motel. I wish I could upload photos!

ホテル自体は、管理人のＰＡＭさん含め、良いホテルです。贅沢を言わず、安価で自然を楽しみたい人には最高のコテージタイプのホテルだと思います。 近くには、ワイキキなどでは体験できない、ココロリオビーチなどの最高のアクティビティを堪能できます。 但し、チェックイン方法が特殊で、メール連絡のみなので注意が必要です。 ハレマルヒアは、現地に管理人のオフィスが無いため、メールでの連絡になります。 日本でしか見れないＰＣのメールアドレスを連絡手段にしておくと、チェックイン方法がわからず、途方に暮れます。 その際の、Ｈｏｔｅｌｓ．ｃｏｍの対応は最悪です。 ちなみに、私たちが最初にホテルに連絡が取れずＨｏｔｅｌｓ．ｃｏｍに連絡した際は、全く誠実な対応は無く、海外から電話をしたのに、確認するとの事で保留にされて、２０分以上放置されました。 呆れて、一旦切り、再度連絡をした際は、「代替えのホテルを準備するから、５分程度で折り返し電話する」と言われて待てど暮せど電話はかかって来ず。電話での約束を完全に無視されました。 Ｈｏｔｅｌｓ．ｃｏｍは最悪です！ １７時頃にチェックインしようと奮闘を初めて、最終的に、自分で管理人の留守電にメッセージを入れて返信があって、何とか管理人のＰＡＭさんが現地に直接来て説明してくれたのが２１時前でした。 その間、Ｈｏｔｅｌｓ．ｃｏｍからの適切な連絡は一度もありませんでした。 さらに、こちらから待ちきれずに再度連絡をすると、東京の電話番号にかけたのに、何と中国のオフィスに転送された様で、前回対応した担当者ＮさんとＫさんには繋ぐことが出来ませんでした。 やっかいな案件から逃げたとしか思えない対応で、怒り心頭でした。 電話をすると言ったのに、かかって来ず、連絡が来ていたのは、日本のＰＣメールアドレスに、「代替えのホテルが必要なら連絡をくれ」というメールと、「ハレマルヒアと連絡が取れたので、チェックインしてくれ」みたいなメールのみ後で確認出来た始末。 Ｈｏｔｅｌｓ．ｃｏｍは何も現地で困っている人の事を考えていないと思いました。

Good for large families
Everything was fine except both night we were there somewhere close to the house had locals partying until about 3am, which I don't mind I'm local myself, but I would be considerate to people around me and at least have the music on low after midnight. It was blaring like I was at a concert, echoing through the house and the valley area there.

海岸から近くて静かなコテージ
ホテルの場所を聞いても答えられなかった人が多かった。即ち探すのに大変苦労した。アパートメントの 機能は十分に備えているが、豪華さはない。学生がシェアハウスとして使っていそうな感じ、ただ、ハワイに暮らす感覚での選択であれば、室内に洗濯機、乾燥機も備わっているので不自由さはない。また、キッチン用品も十分すぎるほど準備されている。では、欠点は、管理人が常駐しておらず、チェックアウトの時は電話で呼び出した。滞在期間中なにもトラブルはなかったので問題はないのだが！

Didn't really spend the day in hotel, we only came home to sleep duing our 6 nights stay. Didn't get much sleep anyway because of all the noise from other house guests and the nearby resort.

Hotel information stated that the rooms were built in 2012. The unit we stayed in was old and the glass slats in the windows were falling out and the wood veneer on the cabinets was peeling off. The neighborhood was noisy with neighbors, roosters, dogs, and kids. Some nights the noise lasted until after midnight and the roosters were up before the sun. There also was no local tv nor cable. The tv was hooked up to Netflix. However, the server for our unit was housed upstairs in another unit and was not strong enough to keep a signal.
