I had the best time here. The staff were are wonderful (especially Ashley), the room was impeccably clean, large and comfortable. Conveniently placed for Ogunquit and Perkins Cove. Breakfast was plentiful, with loads of fresh fruit. And the daily 2pm coffee and freshly-baked cookies were an absolute treat. I loved it here

Wonderful Inn!
Lovely hotel, great attention to detail. The staff was so eager to go out of their way to offer assistance. Everyone from the housekeeper to the staff behind the desk were so kind. Great experience. My only complaint was a customer who turned the common living room area into his own personal office and was sharing names and details of real estate transactions for all to hear. Should have been asked to take it elsewhere.

Creaky old building, there’s a 2” gap under the door, and the only security is a chain clasp. AC doesn’t work so I tried to call the desk, the phone doesn’t work. I got three staff members to come up and they couldn’t get the AC working, and refused to replace the phone. Stay clear of this place.

Old world charm would best describe this hotel. I chose it mostly for its proximity to Marginal Way, but would choose it again for so many reasons. When we checked it, someone was playing the baby grand piano in the lobby & warm cookies were waiting for us. Our room was spotless & beautifully decorated. We were given suggestions for dining. The heart of downtown & shopping were within easy walking distance. It’s nice places like this still exist & take you back to a time of class & elegance far removed from the hotel chains that dominate so many resort destinations. Without asking, we were told we could leave our car several hours after checkout if we planned to continue to explore the area. Experiences like this property provide are few. Hoping to return & stay longer.

Very helpful staff gave us a quick overview of Ogunquit and we felt comfortable heading out to explore right away. The hotel is located close to town. Afternoon cookies were a welcome surprise after a long day in the car!

Great hotel in a convenient location!
We are vacationing as a family of 5, “touring” Maine and chose this location due to convenience - close to Nubble light, Marginal Way/Perkins Cove, Barnacle Billy’s, and even Kennebunkport. We were able to stay parked at the hotel while walking to Marginal Way. We actually made a loop of sorts. The hotel is more nostalgic in decor - some may say dated, but it was more like vintage maritime. We weren’t there for the aesthetics. The staff was very friendly, especially the maintenance man. He walked thru the dining area every morning greeting “Good morning, guests!”. Breakfast was great in our opinion - healthy options, quick grab and go stuff. Great brands too. Check in and out seamless. We would definitely stay again.

Good base camp for exploring local area
Big room with two comfortable chairs. Large common area with many board games. Shuffleboard and corn hole outside.

We stayed in the motel part. It's a little dated (small sink / no bathroom counter type of thing) but it's clean, walkable to shops and Marginal Way, and just has a great vibe.

Colonial Inn Getaway
The colonial inn is a fabulous place to stay. Our room was nice and large, however, we prefer the one we had here three weeks ago overlooking the ocean. I highly recommend that room on the third level. Staff is fantastic at the colonial Inn, and the little breakfast in the morning is certainly enough to get you started for the day.

Needs updating
This hotel needs updating. There were only 2 accessible outlets in very inconvenient locations in the room so it made charging electronics difficult. There was no full length mirror. The carpet and bathroom flooring were very old and worn. It was expensive given the quality of the room. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. The man who maintains the breakfast bar was terrific. The property is well maintained. Coffee 24/7 in lobby is a godsend as well as the afternoon cookies!

It’s very close to everything: the Marginal way walk, the beach, the store and restaurants. It’s also family friendly; my daughter loved the swimming pool and the hot tub. The staff are extremely friendly and the cleaning lady was professional and kind. The one thing they need to replace is the small white table In the room, because it has weird sticky surface.

The Colonial Inn is the perfect spot, right between Perkins Cove and downtown, it's walking distance to everything. Marginal Way is 2-3 minutes away, and there are so many dining choices nearby it's hard to decide. The staff were super friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies every day at 2pm certainly didn't hurt. We used the fire-pit, ate breakfast outside, we loved it and will be back.

Tammy and David were fabulous. They catered to our daughters every need and made our stay super comfortable. We loved our room and the hot tub outside. We especially liked the porch off of our room during a rainstorm. A few things we would have loved: to know that there was a shared bathroom, more breakfast variety and a comfier mattress. We would recommend this place but it could use a few improvements.
