This party made a noncancellable reservation at our luxurious B & B. They advised they would arrive at 4 pm. After waiting 4 hours I was able to reach them again by telephone (now 8 pm) and they advised they were "on their way". I waited until midnight, they never showed up. I called Expedia who advised it appeared as though they had made another reservation in a downtown hotel for the night. It would have been my absolute pleasure to have had the opportunity to pamper this couple, just as I have the 4,000 previous couples that have stayed with us over the past 20 years, given the opportunity.

Hello and thank you for your comment! I wish I would have known you wanted a suite with cable, as the Regal and Imperial Suites both do. In addition, the common social area TV has cable, as well our private Movie Theatre Suite. As a couple's retreat, we never had TV's in the suites for the first decade, and then decided it would be romantic for our guests to be able to watch movies in bed, so we put TV/DVD players in each suite and purchased 300 movies for our complimentary movie library. Next time we have the pleasure of pampering you, please stipulate your preference and we'll make sure you get it!

Hello and thank you so much for taking the time to post a review! You absolutely must come back to enjoy our warm salt water pool during the season, June 1 - September 30. We do maintain our property pristinely and reseal all our decks each fall while the weather permits us to do so! So pleased you enjoyed your suite and specifically your Jacuzzi tub! In response to this anonymous review, I am so very disappointed I was not made aware of any issues, especially since we have signs everywhere asking guests to let us know if we can make their stay more enjoyable or comfortable in any way. I would have happily relocated them to the top floor, without question. Some folks prefer the ground level with the easy pool access. The maximum number of rooms a B & B is allowed to have in Kelowna is 4. I wouldn't want more than that, it's too important that we are available to assist our guests with their every request and larger numbers wouldn't allow us to be as available. Each of our four honeymoon suites are designed completely differently, something for everyone. We have gone to great lengths and expense to create a "Villa/Tuscany" theme throughout the common areas, with plastered and arched walls, It is regrettable that this was construed as being "old fashioned". The Imperial Suite, is our largest, with an additional sitting/kitchenette area and the tub is walled off, which does make it private to the rest of the suite (for shaving of legs). We purposely do not carry the personal sized amenities (soaps/shampoos) that you find in most hotels for two reasons. First and most importantly, we offer only the best for our guests - professional grade and organic products we purchase from our spa suppliers, and secondly to be environmentally friendly without adding to a world of plastic litter. Our phosphate free and organic bubble bath is specially mixed for us by a chemist which we purchase in bulk, and yes, we therefore label the insuite-sized bottles ourselves. I would rather invest the money into the quality of the product. Regarding our "old-fashioned" coffee machines, we have just purchased all of these thermal drip machines so that we can offer our locally roasted and organic Cherry Hill "Organic Gold" coffee to our guests. Granted the modern "pod" machines would be much less maintenance for us, but the coffee available is inferior. For our guests that would like to visit our view terrace and enjoy a beverage, we have every option for refreshments. From "gourmet coffee" Nespresso maker (first cup is complimentary) to unlimited complimentary snacks and juices, not to mention the the first bottle of wine is complimentary. And finally, to read that we don't even have a kitchen on site, when this suite actually has a kitchenette in it, together with a full kitchen in the adjacent common area and a barbecue right outside their door, is just so confusing.

We are so sorry you were disappointed with your stay and that your review is anonymous leaving us powerless to make any amends. Our advertised continental breakfast does not suggest we offer hot items, but it is organic and favors many healthy options such as yogurts, Okanagan fruit, granola bars and a wide range of cereals in addition to the fresh daily baked items. We do have many complimentary amenities onsite, but the two hour session in our Human Touch Massaging Recliners in the private media room does come with a pay-per-view movie, hand-dipped chocolate truffles, a bottle of Okanagan wine and hot buttered popcorn, so there is a fee attached for that package. Each guest has a private parking spot steps from their suite so we are very confused about the “nuisance” this created for you. It is most regrettable you viewed our parting survey that accompanied your invoice, to assess your stay with us, as harassment to provide a 5* review. We are genuinely asking if you did not experience a 5* stay, to let us know what could have been done differently. We are always striving to ensure we providing the best experience possible for our guests. Signs everywhere ask guests to let us know if there is any way to make their stay more enjoyable or comfortable, that we are only a text or phone call away. That’s all we can do.
