Staying on outskirts of Kelowna
Had roku tv. Unable to watch normal channels so no us open tennis live. Everything else acceptable. location away from the ciity so driving took time to reach destionations. Nice view of lake

Dont pay attention to negetive reviews.
We weren't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived, instructions were easy to follow, the view off the balcony was awesome, great bbq for guests to use and the rooms were private and comfortable. As far as we could tell you do not share a living space with anyone else, each unit is separated by locked doors from the other units. The beds were comfortable, great tv with Roku in our room. Overall I'd recommend for an easy stay In Kelowna.

Avoid at all costs this is one creepy stay
Not remotely as advertised, ended up leaving and going somewhere else. Thought this was a condo suite. Turned out to be a house in the hills, and appeared that we had rented the top floor. Smelled terribly like the furnace motor was dying (warm to burning plastic) so we left for the evening. When we came back after supper we could hear another couple in one of the other bedrooms and realized that we were apparently renting a bedroom in someone's house with a shared bathroom. We had left things in the bathroom and in the bedroom not secured and felt so horribly uncomfortable with it all (and the smell) that we left. It felt supremely creepy and off putting.

Sorry to hear you that you thought incorrectly the type of accommodation you rented. As correctly stated and advertised on the Hotels.com website: Key facts: Size, 3 apartments, Arranged over 2 floors. Room is accessed via exterior corridors. Connecting/adjoining rooms can be requested, subject to availability. Bathroom - Private bathroom, bathtub or shower, free toiletries, and a hair dryer. Noise-free guestrooms cannot be guaranteed. We do NOT have any shared bathrooms or inside living space. We DO have private entrances, private rooms and suites. You possibly heard people from another suite, hallway or on the balcony which is normal in any accommodation. Prior to your arrival we did everything we could to accommodate you. We allowed you to cancel your first reservation for July 28th without penalty as you wanted to change to the July 29th instead. Because of your change the original room type (Panoramic Room 300 sq ft, 1 King Bed, Balcony, Lake View) was not available so this caused us to upgrade your room type to a $300+/night (at no extra cost to you) 2 bedroom suite 1,000 sq ft with full kitchen, dining, living room, laundry room, Balcony and Lake View. We left our home just minutes before you arrived and there were no strange smells. Most other people would try to notify someone immediately (not 6 days later) if they smelled burning plastic. We had already communicated with you at 3:08pm before your arrival so a quick call from you prior to you vacating at 10:06pm would have been appreciated as to clear up your incorrect thoughts. Yes, it's horribly uncomfortable, supremely creepy, off putting to open our home with comfortable accommodation to have a guest treat us like this in return. Yes, we are in the hills (up on a mountainside) with a lake and city view and most people appreciate this. The same night other guest gave us 10 review.

Perfect place to lay your head!
We were attending a golf tournament in Kelowna and only needed a place to sleep so choosing Acker Vacation Home & Suites met our needs. The room was clean, modern, very quiet and the perfect size for two. Plus, our room had a million dollar view!. Would highly recommend.

Convenient location. Good size home, clean and well stocked. Enough space for a family of 6. Nice view of Kelowna. Received a text from rental staff prior to our arrival which allowed easy communication afterwards. Check-in and check-out was a breeze.

Your review seems to be directed more to Expedia than our property. However the score you gave them brings our score down. The suite you reserved 3 bedroom, 3 king beds, full kitchen, washer dryer (which you used about 2 liters of our laundry detergent), lake & city views accommodates 6 adults, 2 children. This suite was priced well below the 3 other competitors that had vacancy the 1 night you stayed.

The lake view is of a tiny sliver of lake far in the distance. This is a house split into several units. A floor plan showing where the different amenities are located (hot tub, laundry) would be helpful.

Great View--Easy Access
The view from the balcony of this vacation home was fantastic as well as the ease of finding the home. It was very quiet and relaxing. Parking is on the very quiet street. The property is advertised as express check in/out, and there is no one on site; communication is completed by text messaging. We were there for 3 nights and had to text for clean towels on the second day. The room was then made up but at the price we paid, I would have assumed and appreciated daily cleaning of the room. Stores and restaurants were a 5 minute drive away, nothing within walking distance.

Over exceeded our expectations in more ways than 1
Acker suites is a hidden gem! We were surprised with the view, amenities, and convenient location. The suite was very comfortable and in excellent condition and cleanliness. There is a BBQ, cozy patio and even a hot tub that all overlook Okanagan Lake and the city of Kelowna. The furthest we ventured away from the suite was a 25 minute drive to south Kelowna wine country, but most places are about 10 minutes away. We visited a local orchard 3 minutes away that my wife and I would recommend. For groceries, there is a coopers (save-on) for local fresh produce, or anything else anyone would possibly need. The surrounding area was nice, but the suite was so nice it was hard to leave. King Size beds in every room, coffee machine, full kitchen (by request) with dishwasher, wine fridge, and a decent kitchen table, etc. The only thing we thought would have made the place better was a living room and perhaps a nod and a handshake with the owner. We booked, checked in, checked out and stayed for 4 days without ever seeing the property manager. Some would argue this might even be a good thing, as in actually this didn't bother us one bit since he was always available via cellphone. Having no living room with couch space was also not a problem since every room has Telus TV and a lounger chair and most of time was spent on the patio. All in all, we enjoyed Acker Suites and would definitely recommend this to groups of 4 or more.

great hotel great rooms
no front desk, but everything is ready for us. the place is quiet and there is a nice city view. a big suprise that everything is better than I expected and the price is really reasonable.

Great View, Great Facility, But Nothing Walkable
Well, it was actually in a house....that had everything. The view was spectacular. But you are close to nothing. If you shop first it doesn't matter as there is a full kitchen.

Home away from home suite
If you're staying for any length of time this is the place to stay at a very reasonable price. It has a fully equipped kitchen so you don't have to eat out for every meal. Spotlessly clean!

Good view of Kelowna
The particular apartment we stayed in was spacious, clean and well appointed. It gave us a pleasing look over the city of Kelowna and was conveniently located for a trip through the Okanagan Valley.

Nice place, just a little awkward checking in, but that's been my experience with vacation rentals in general. Very nice view off the deck, but wouldn't be very private if the other units on you floor are occupied.

Beautiful views.
We had suite 100 which was nice and comfortable, but didn't have the best layout. The only door to the condo was through a bedroom, which meant high traffic through someone's sleeping space. The second bedroom was private, but didn't have much for sitting area or much for clothes storage. Beautiful views off the deck, and the hot tub was nice. Would stay here again but would prefer the suite with a living room.

The place has a nice view, clean, quiet, & close to the airport . Need to have more pillows or better ones, make sure each kitchen has microwaveable dishes ( plates, bowls), & a phone book.

Beautiful private location
This was a suite in a walkout basement of someone's house. It was bright, fresh with a beautiful view of Kelowna. It was very private and quiet. The gardens were lovely. It felt like home.

Nice appartement with great view
The best with this accomodation is its location with a great view on Kelowna and lake. We had the main large bedroom with direct access to the balcony. The other bedrooms were locked. In our case there was no staff around - we picked key and directions in an evelope from the office door. We liked our stay very much - it gave us even more holiday feeling.

Amazing view!
I booked a single room with a kingsize bed but due to the fact the occupiers from the previous night didn't leave at 11:00 because they had a late flight was upgraded to a one bedroom suite at no extra charge!

Dirty towels, paper thin walls, no hospitality
This is not a hotel. If you're looking for the type of hospitality that you would get at hotels then don't book at Acker Vacation Homes. When we arrived at this place, we saw and spoke to no one. We were instead welcomed by an envelope with my name on it with the key and suite number inside. Considering this place was one of the more expensive places in the area, we expected much more. The suites are nowhere near where even a 3-star hotel should be. The towels were stained and rough, the toilet had what looked like mop bucket water in it, and we could very clearly hear conversations that our neighbours were having. It was difficult to sleep as we could hear every footstep and voices from other suites. I was woken up at 2 am because someone in the suite above us was puking and I could hear everything! It was a horrible night!! I will definitely be more careful in choosing hotels next time and never this place again.

Not worth the money
Acker is poor value for the money. Key was taped to the door when we arrived, to visible staff. decor was marginal at best. No better that your cheap strip motel. bed was clean but a low end model. Photo of the toilet seat tells it all.

Clean, basic, but kind of far.
Good space, clean. Basic shampoo and soap were available, but no facial tissue or robes (as stated), hard to access hot tube from our unit, and couldn't use it due to its proximity to a bedroom at night.

We are happy that your group of 6 made good use of the 3 bedroom suite. We have since updated our amenities list not to include the robes as the environmental impact to wash/dry these are major. The hot tubs are not at all properties nor are they in the list of amenities. We are just 15 minutes to Lake Okanagan so everything else Kelowna has to offer is usually less than 15 minutes away.

Beyond Expectations
We arrived thinking it was a hotel room and it ended up being a beautiful suite in the lower level of a beautiful home. We had a wonderful pool area with a hot tub that overlooked the entire valley. It was absolutely beautiful. The people who own the house are phenomenal and you felt like you were staying with friends. This experience went way beyond our expectations of a place to stay and we hope to go back this summer to rent the whole lower level with friends. Highly recommended.
