There was a mutual error made between my mom and the owner/manager.
Not a hello, not a “oops I think we made an erro”. Instead he approached me aggressively, pointed and started yelling. I was confused as I was not a part of their conversation. I rented two rooms through Expedia. When my mom phoned she said “two rooms under (insert my name) and he said “oh that’s unusual”. So. When we got their, he came and stood at the door of my truck and stared at me. I said “hello” and pointed at me, stated my name, and yelled “when you phoned you stated two rooms for you, and another one for your parents”. Well we certainly did not. I said “I guess it was an error sir” and he says “well YOUR error cost me $160! So my parents to bring as kind as they are, wanted to make peace so they offered to pay the $160. (I wouldn’t have). And he was still terribly rude to my elderly parents and told them he did not want their money, to leave $20 for the housekeeper. “Tomorrow leave your key on the table and just go”.
I’m not sure where he would have lost &160, because out of 9 rooms, 4-5 were unoccupied all night.
Moral of the story is; he would have gained a lot of business approaching this subject kindly, as we will be making a lot of trips through there coming up. So, he lost way more than $160, as he will never get our business again.
