call me stupid but I booked the hotel because to need a place to sleep on my way home to Houston, TX from visiting family in Iowa. Too be honest the same of the Hotel "Hemp" did not register with me until the front desk clerk too me "can't smoke cigarettes but you can smoke...". Not a problem as I smoked neither and the room did not smell. However, the room was simply rundown, the light in the sink area did not work. I called the office twice to get the passcode for the internet service, each time the phone rang for more than a minute and NEVER got answer. The remote control did not turn the TV on...i had to find a button ON the TV to get the screen, Obviously, the Hotel exists for one primary purpose but perhaps that should be mentioned. I assumed a Travelodge would be what most Travelodges are...but I now know I need to be more cautious when making a reservation.

This property should not be open. Don’t stay here.
I stayed at the HEMP Hotel for the novelty. BIG MISTAKE!!!! The carpet was filthy. Sheets were not clean and had burn holes in them. Bed bugs!!!! The shower was nasty and the tub was stained with some weird red stuff. The smoke detector was pulled off the wall and sitting on the table. It look like the Bible got wet and stuck to the drawer and some pulled it out and the back was fused to the drawer still. I regret staying here for sure and hope they close it down!

Made a reservation 2 hours ahead of time on online and paid for the room online. Got to the hotel after driving 8 hours straight exhausted and they proceeded to tell me they didn’t have any rooms available. The parking lot was empty by the way. Still haven’t received my money back after she said it would be returned. Perfect scam if you ask me.

Complaint to Hemp Inn 8/29/2022 To whom it may concern: Worst motel ever. Would never stay here again and will certainly not recommend to anyone. Reported issues to desk clerk upon checkout this morning at 0430- broken security latch, only one light bulb in the room, unusable shower- no handle for the water control, blood stained pillowcase used on bed, total disregard for my request for a quiet area because I had a terrible migraine from trying to fight the severe storms last night. She herself was the noise-maker, yelling at people several doors down and on the first floor. Asked her 2 times without success to quiet down, I gave up. The absolute most disgusting thing was a used syringe/needle that I found under the bed as I was making sure I hadn’t dropped anything under there. The morning clerk was really rude and unhelpful. I requested a refund and she refused, “we don’t do that here” was the response. I’m not sure if that’s how your business is conducted but I will be contacting Expedia also with my complaints. Thank you for your time, Deanna Rader **the only reason I stayed there and didn’t t just leave last night was because it was the last motel I stopped at, couldn’t drive any more because the weather was so bad and I was really sick from my migraine. **

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Air sucked. Bugs everywhere, floor was falling apart and the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. Someone hooked up the hot water to the toilet so the toilet was steaming hot my daughter burned herself using the restroom and the bathtub had no hot water so shower was cold. Door did not lock and crack heads all over the parking lot. Oh and tv did not work at all didn’t even come on.

Book the one on the NORTH side!! You definitely get what you pay for with this one. It’s a shame that you advertise as a “Hemp Hotel” and the desk attendant wouldn’t put me in my originally reserved room because “it was next to her and she doesn’t like it.” And no other rooms have TVs that worked. Second The rooms are disgusting. Being a Wyndham employee for many years, I’m shook that they allow their name attached to this property. All linen was dirty. Carpets had years of stains built up and some of the doors had no safety latches. Third The front desk area smelled good and was decently kept. However once we headed to our room, we noticed dirty clothes all over the parking lot, including draws, and when heading towards the stairs, a dead baby bird that had been there for sometime. Clean that place up y’all!

There was mismatched paint all over the walls, ketchup on the ceiling, blood drops in bathtub, and ashes in the sheets. The picture is nothing like the Hotel.

The first room they put us in had blood all over the floor all over the bathroom door holes in the wall very gross there was a missing pillow you could seriously tell that something bad had happened there the next room that they put us in had holes in the wall and it was pretty nasty paint in the bathtub I go down to the balcony to look over and there's a burnt van a van that has been on fire it is just not a good place to stay I guess maybe if you're used to that kind of stuff but I'm not

The room was dirty and the tub and sink did not look like they had been cleaned at all. I had bites all over my waist and neck on morning 2 from some kind of bugs and I was refused a new room. They gave me a comforter to put on top of the sheets for more "protection." Lyft drivers refused to pick me up here and so did Uber. No clean towels delivered at all. Everything was dirty. No info on Expedia ahead of time about the cash $40 deposit either.

It was the worst hotel stay experience of my life. Customer service are all liars, taught to scheme people. Charge you for every little thing, it’s cost money to get a key card, you get one. A lot of noises all throughout the day and night with fighting, drug deals going on, thin walls.

The room was disgusting. My bedding was gross and bloody my room looked like it had just been through a drive by. I didnt stay in the room once i seen it. I could never get anyone at the desk to make things right i am pissed

Not so good.There was no mention of deposit ($40).The hotel stairs are unsafe in spots and the room had what appeared to be meth or spne other intoxocant under the microwave. The door had a 3/8 in open gap under the door despite it being winter

My stay from the beginning was terrible from the staff having attitude to condition of the room I did not get the room I paid for I ordered a king smoking and I got a double full when I got into the room the bathroom door was off it hinges later on while I was sleeping from the door that gave access to the room next to it a man and a woman had kicked it in and proceeded to the front door and then one more person proceeded through the access door after that police swarmed from both doors needless to say I was frightened uncomfortable embarrassed being that I was in the nude at the time after everything be had calmed down and I had a bite to eat I came back to checked out where I had asked for my money back the played stupid and told me to contact hotels for the refund I feel they should have been there before the Cops cleared back offering me free room or refund

Dirty and Damaged
September 2021 report: I am surprised this place is on Hotels.com - it was horrible. We arrived too late to have another option besides sleeping in the car, and we almost did. Although the towels and sheets were washed, they had permanent stains that made them look disgusting. The sink and tub were permanently stained and damaged. Pulled out nightstand to plug in cell phone and it was so dirty and disgusting back there, that I was afraid to put my hand down there. I recommend finding another place to stay.

Property could use security, prostitutes and drug dealers walking around all over the place not good for children at all. The good thing was there was no bed bugs did not see bugs at all however the room did smell of pesticides. Have some female banging on my door 1:00 in the morning hollering for some guy's name I refuse to answer the door I told her she had the wrong room but she refused to leave don't know if that was an attempt to Rob someone or just strung out on dope. The sign out front was completely blacked out wasn't even sure if I had the right location. Had to go in and ask if this was the location I was supposed to be at. Checked out at 3:00 a.m. cuz I couldn't take it anymore couldn't find anybody to return the key or get my deposit back so I had to call the hotel no one answered then finally someone come walking around the corner with another lady they look very strung out as well. Unless you live a lifestyle of prostitution and drug use I would not recommend this place to any normal person
