The hotel is being remodeled, so all amenities were gone that were promised I was still was charge full price and I basically got a prison cell so I want a refund

Check in/out was easy, bed was very comfortable BUT room was cold (60 degrees) without a way to heat properly until we were given a portable heater. Had to ask for batteries for the remote and the phone was broken. When given the feedback at check out, no apology given, not written down or acknowledgment provided. Would not recommend to stay here!

The entire hotel has heating on, all the time. There is no temperature control in the rooms. The best you can do is shut the vent and open your window, but there are no screens on the windows and insects can fly in easily. It was boiling hot in the middle of March, and there are cracks and stains all over the walls and ceiling of the room. I will never book another room at this Red Lion, or any other.

The location of this property is really good. Close to everything downtown and concerts and shows. Unfortunately, theres nothing else to recommend it. Our room was noisy. Toilet running off and on. Mini fridge running. Dont think about turning on any heat or air because the noise from the unit was like shaking a bag of metal pieces. The smell of the room was somewhere between old carpet and old cigarettes. Every piece of furnature was scraped and scratched and beat up. One of the attempts at wall art was water stained. The sheets were stained with mascara and we found hair in the bed. When we asked for an additional pillow they didn't have any. For a king bed we had 3. Overall the bed was comfortable. But we heard every noise, doors slamming and voices. Luckily we had earplugs. This is not a 4 star hotel. I want to make clear that the staff was very helpful despite the condition of the room. A hotel on the decline sadly, and a steep one.

The renovations to the hotel have made it much more inviting and better promoted a feeling of cleanliness. Check in and check out was simple and the staff personable. The water temperatures in the sink and shower were difficult to manage but other than that it was a perfectly fine place to stay.

Breakfast area wasn’t replenished and hardly had any food item available even at 9am. No attendant onsite and the area wasn’t picked up after many guests passed through leaving garbage behind .

the most difficult shower i've ever had. the temperature is impossible to control. it goes hot and cold unpredictably (and i mean SCALDING). we were only on the 2nd floor -- the plumbing shouldn't struggle like that at that floor. i've worked in old hotels and this one was particularly drab. i'd rather stay in the motel 6 a few miles away. at least i'll be comfortable.

The staff was nice and helpful. However the hotel hallways smelt like mold, the fridge was not working so all my food went bad and the shower did not drain.

Tho the room seemed very clean and was comfortable, the building is falling apart. The slider doors were falling out. Ours couldnt ve opened. The heat did not work at all. The heat in the building was extreamly hot. I feel the description of this facility was Very decieving. We will not stay there again.

This property is not great. Rooms are old and smelly, and there’s significant drug use and people in behavioral health crisis at the park across the street. Staff were nice but the hotel and general area is in need of investments

The smell when you come off the elevator was horrible. The rooms get hot and there’s no air, you can open the slider door about 4 inches but there were no sheer curtains only the curtains that are thick you can’t get air through them so you have to leave them open to get little air. The shower had ok pressure but would change from good temperature to scorching hot then freezing cold and back to normal and cycle like that the entire time. Breakfast was bagels cereal yogurt. With their toaster that doesn’t work. Homeless sleeping in the garage and that’s all you see when looking out the window. This is worse than a motel 6. Never will stay at Red Lion again.

Water temperature in shower changed often, too hot, too cold. No electric outlet by one side of the bed, so there was a lamp but it couldn’t be plugged in. Staff was courteous and helpful. Good parking at no extra charge. Great restaurants and coffee shop very close by. Room was large and comfortable.

The hotel was convenient and priced fairly. However, the room given had no heat. The heat ran, but there was little force to circulate it. Hours and nothing! Being a corner room paired with giant drafty windows, the cold air was stronger than the heat. We were forced to run the shower for 30 minutes & heat our room with the steam. The following morning we asked for a new room. They said they didnt have the same room available. I noted we just wanted warmth we didnt care which room. At no time did they think to attempt service recovery. They handed us a space heater and sent us back to our room. Plus items: shower runs hot & water pressure was great. Pillows were comfortable. Negative items: (besides the heat issue.) Visible stains of various colors and sizes all over the furniture. Appeared like no effort was put into trying to clean them. Rooms need more towels. Towels are paper thin and soak up the water, fast. Homlessness and trash were the view from our room overlooking lovely Capitol Lake. Definitely not a lot to offer coupled with less than stellar service.
