Nous avons passé un agréable moment au Philémon, notre hôte était accueillant et en plus il cuisine parfaite bien. Nous avons très bien petit déjeuner. La chambre est très propre, et confortable je recommande le Philémon.

The room was basic but very clean. I've only met the owner once. He was friendly. The breakfast is usually served between 8:00 am and 9:00 am. I asked if it was possible to have breakfast earlier and they prepared and left a plate in the fridge every morning. I had a selection of fruit, yogurt and different pastries.

We had a great time. The place was conveniently close to Ottawa city center, has easy off-street parking right on the property, nice and clean place, very nice accommodations, and excellent host. She prepared a delicious and healthy breakfast for us, and we had a great time chatting with the host and the guests. It was a memorable first time bread and breakfast experience for me and my wife.

Estancia muy agradable en Le Philemon
Fue un lugar muy agradable y tranquilo para pasar la noche en familia. Las habitaciones y baño fueron muy espaciosos, limpios y acogedores, además que el desayuno que preparó e anfitrión Jake estuvo muy rico. Se agradece. No puedo hablar de la movilidad en transporte público, pues estuve utilizando un auto de renta durante el viaje y en el auto todo queda muy cerca de los lugares de interés en Ottawa. Los anfitriones muy atentos, amables y disponibles. Si vuelvo a Ottawa, me quedaría nuevamente en Le Philemon. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Wonderful location & hosts!
Our stay at Le Philemon was wonderful! The location was very convenient and the hotel was spotless. Anika was an gracious hostess and a talented cook preparing a delicious full breakfast each day and made us feel at home. She also gave us precise directions and suggestions for bike paths. We would definitely stay at Le Philemon again and recommend it to our family & friends. Pat & Dennis

Le gîte est bien situé, les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et le petit déjeuner copieux et excellent. cependant, la chambre est très petite et les murs séparateurs très minces, de sorte que nous avons été réveillés plusieurs fois chaque nuit. Dommage.

Nettes B&B mit super freundlichen besitzer
Wir haben das B&B nie zur Durchreise benutzt. Das negative daran war, dass man sich am Eingang telefonisch beim Besitzer melden muss. Für uns etwas doof, da wir kein lokales Handy hatten und somit der Anruf doch teuer geworden ist. Man wird am Telefon durch den Eingang geleitet und alles wichtige erklärt. Das Zimmer war zwar nicht groß, für unsere Durchreise oder auch sicher für einen Städtetrip völlig ausreichend. Es war sauber und quasi alles vorhanden. Es gibt um das B&B einige Restaurants wo man abends essen gehen kann. Absolute Highlight war am Morgen, da wird man vom Besitzer bekocht. Er hat uns erzählt, dass er versucht den Leuten nie zweimal das gleiche pro Aufenthalt zu servieren. Bei uns gab es eine Art gefüllte Pfannkuchen, einmal süß und einmal herzhaft. Er hat davor aber noch gefragt ob wir was anderes wollen. Die Entfernung zu Ottawa können wir nicht einschätzen, da wir wie gesagt nur zur Durchreise dort waren.

Cleanliness issues
First time I tries bed abd breakfast, and I will never try it again. As soon as I open the door, the room was smelling too bad (urine type of smell). The bed sheets, the towels, everything were smelly.

Honesty issues ? We work hard to keep this B&b pleasant and clean, and the majority of our reviews support that. Although we did notice a couple episodes were we could detect a sewage like smell lately, it was basically caused by the city doing nearby sewage work, and it was easily rid off of by letting the water circulate a minute in the washroom. we agree it could be unpleasant at first and would've been happy to help, but on the other hand, not only did you never reported that issue during the whole length of your stay, the only complain you voiced was that the room was cold while leaving the windows open on near 0 degrees nights and asking if the a/c unit was the heating source. We have a hard time understanding your need for that review while not even addressing the issue... We try to accommodate the best we can, as long as we know..

Il faudrait préciser avec Google Maps que pour se rendre au gîte qu il faut prendre la rue St-Joseph sud et non la route 105, ça mêle les gens.

Bonjour, En fait, le boulevard St-Joseph et la 105 sont la même chose, mais en ville le nom est plus utilisé et lorsqu'on arrive/dépasse Chelsea, le terme 105 est plus utilisé. D'ailleurs, avec le nom ''st-joseph'', nous avons des clients que le GPS/Google a envoyés à Orléans sur le blv St-joseph. Effectivement, ça peut porter à confusion. Pour cette raison, nous encourageons plutôt les clients à utiliser notre adresse complète pour le meilleur résultat. Par contre, on fait de belles trouvailles parfois en s’égarent un peu du chemin :) au plaisir de vous revoir.

Les chambres sont un peu petites, particulièrement la salle de bain. Décevant, la terrasse est fermée pour cause d'infiltration d'eau, fausse publicité sur le site. À retirer la photo pour éviter la déception surtout lors du beau temps.

One block off Blvd, Saint-Joseph, local streets are quiet for good running, and decent restaurants and coffee shops an easy walk away... I felt very welcomed and at home

Les hotes ont été parfaits. Dejeuner excellents (gaufres avec fruits frais et VRAI sirop. Malheureusement, la propriété est dans un secteur défavorisé quoique ce critère est probablement peu important si nous ne sommes que de passage. Ce n'est pas luxueux, ni la chambre, ni la douche mais tout à combler mes besoins. Stationnement gratuit !

Friendly and clean
My wife and I have spent one night at this B&B at the end of September.. It has excellent location just 5 min drive from beautiful Cathedral Basilica and Parliament Hill in Ottawa. Walking distance to various restaurants and supermarkets. Rooms are modern,clean and comfortable.Parking on the property. Tasty breakfast-waffles with fresh fruits and whipped cream ,coffee,tea ,juice is prepared by owner. The atmosphere is very friendly and personal.We felt as he welcomed us to his own home. It is a small thought nice and clean place with very warm hospitality in every aspect of stay.

Uma boa surpresa.
Tivemos um susto inicial ao chegar pois não havia ninguém no hotel para atendimento. Tivemos de telefonar para obter a senha da fechadura eletrônica. Porém ao entrar encontramos um quarto pequeno mas acolhedor e de uma limpeza imaculada. O casal que são donos do empreendimento são extremamente simpáticos e nos deram boas dicas além de prepararem um café da manhã delicioso.

exceptionnel. clean room with toilet and comfy bed. very kind owner mr. jacek. creative and healthy breakfast for 2 mornings. he's very friendly, kind and nice to have a conversation with, very informative and lot's of suggestions too on where we can go visit. the location is nice and quiet neighborhood. we will definitely go back to this b&b when we travel to gatineau, quebec.

Amazing Host. She was so accommodating!
Great spot. Close to downtown Ottawa. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Yummy breakfast and we had two extra people stay with us, and it was no problem. We paid the fee for the extra breakfasts and she made up a room for them! Overall very lovely stay. Would definitely go back!
