Nice enough place, great staff, great view
We'll definitely stay here again - owners are still fixing up the place, they told us, and if nothing fancy, it was quite comfortable with a view over the boats in the marina of the open sea - could see the Ocracoke ferries going back and forth in the distance. Convenient location next to Dinky's (our favorite restaurant) and close enough to Sonny's to see how crowded the parking lot was when deciding when to go for breakfast.

Lovely beach get-away
We had a lovely stay at this little motel. The place was rustic, but that is what we were expecting. The location and nearby beaches were absolutely gorgeous and it was not overcrowded, which made for a lovely trip. We especially want to thank Tanya for her generous hospitality when we arrived.

Staff was excellent, great AC and very clean. Place could use a TV and fan in the bedrooms along with a lock on the door. Other than that the stay was awesome and the sunsets are beautiful. Will definitely be back.

In love with this place and its people!!
We loved this place! Beautiful sunsets and we could see the Hunter Moon rise from our balcony at the same time!! The locals are wonderful.. We enjoyed watching the boats come in with their daily catch. Large apartment with a Queen room (no tv in room)-bathroom off the bedroom. Good size kitchen with dishes but no pots and pans. There was one big stock pot, but I would bring my own skillet next time maybe if planning to stay a bit. Plenty of dishes and silverware of good quality though. 3 twin beds in the living room area but no couch or anything. We actually just slept out there so we could watch the boats come in and the sun go down. The room is clean. I am in love with this place!!

Convenient place
The motel is at a great location. Walking distance to restaurants and souvenir shopping. A few minutes driving to beach places. The only complains from us is that the bathroom can only be entered from the bedroom, which makes it inconvenient for our family sleeping outside the bedroom. There is no shampoo and conditioner onsite as well.

The first thing about The Motel Staff that I encountered before I even left for my trip, was the friendly reply that I got by email letting me know that I could check in an hour early because of the long distance that I was traveling to get there. I explained that we were coming for a wedding early the next day and we needed to meet up with my family later in the day that I was to arrive. I was not familiar with the place, and they were so kind and helpful about my questions and arrival time. When I did arrive, the lady was right there to help me with the check in and showing us to our room. She was so kind and friendly till I felt like it was my extended family instead of a business transaction. The room was great. It was absolutely well cleaned and all of the linens, towels and the kitchen were totally furnished. I couldn't believe that we were getting all of that for the price that they charged and the area that it was located in. I will definitely go back there the next time that I travel there.

Stayed here with a couple friends for two nights on a road trip. This place is fantastic. Very clean, very comfortable, and in a perfect location. The people who run it are very nice as well.

This hotel is amazing the staff are supper nice and very informational. Ive been going to outer banks for years this was my first stay with them I will definately stay with them again. They have a deli onsite i didnt have the chance to give that a try but always smelled awesome around lunch time. Also really close to the beach and great views. Really happy with my stay here.

I got this reservation last minute at a very reasonable price. Seems an excellent setting for hanging out between fishing trips. The room and area were quiet!!! Yeah!!! The convenience to Hatteras was awesuuuuume. But the best thing…the staff. I’ve been fishing out of this marina several times. The staff has always been very accommodating and gracious. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Friendly hosts extremely clean. Lots of steps for the elderly or medically impaired. No handicap access.
