Friendly staff but unfortunately I won’t be back . The cleanliness of the room was terrible , especially the bathroom 😩

The hotel was conveniently located for Oxford town centre. It provided free parking and wifi and a great cooked breakfast in the morning. We only met one member of staff who was friendly and helpful. The reception area looked good but the room was very dated and the bathroom could do with a complete makeover. It was fine for our short stay and provided tea and coffee making facilities, a warm room and TV.

The only good thing to say about this property was the bedding was clean and the warm room the rest wasn’t very good even the blind was dirty I won’t go on needless to say we would never stay there again

Tried to take full payment before i had even got to the hotel. Was rude and utterly without remorse or compassion. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

Great price especially for the location
It was our 3rd stay at the Victoria Hotel it is situated on the main Abingdon Road, so is a convenient (20 minute) stroll into the Centre of Oxford, even if you arrive prior to check in they have no issue in you using the hotel car park. The rooms are very clean, fresh bedding, towels and clean bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities included. The hotel could benefit from a re-furb of sorts, new taps, shower and fittings etc, but is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is also included and a good selection too, nice clean full English. I would recommend the Victoria on the whole, great price for the location

Clean and Convenient
Very close to Oxford Centre, staff were friendly and helpful. Decore was a bit dated but rooms were spotless and breakfast was lovely. I would definitely book again.

Alright for a short stay
Hotel was alright, a bit overpriced for what it is, but conveniently located not too far from Oxford city centre. Building itself was quite run down, with the towel railing in my room about to fall apart. The walls were pretty thin, enough to hear the neighbors talk or what they were watching on telly. I'm glad they were silent at night... Apart from that, bed was comfortable, room decently sized. Breakfast was fine. Milos, the guy at the front desk, seemed quite sulky and miserable at first glance, but you then later realize that's just the way he is, and behind this sad look, there's a nice guy that occasionally makes conversation to you while he serves breakfast, or while checking in or out.

Oxford hotel walking distance to centre
My wife & I spent 2no nights here & were on the whole happy with experience. Good location within walking distance to Oxford, free car parking which was great, bus stop near hand for those who find it difficult to walk over a mile. Due to hot weather glad I brought our fan as no air con (not unusual in English hotels I found). Good choice of breakfast. Shower would really need updating, not good. We would stay again.

Shabby and had not been cleaned. Hairs left on the desk in the room. Dark and dingy breakfast area. Embarrassing for foreign visitors. Should be inspected and closed until it meets basic standards. Better to find a travel lodge for less.

Disgraceful condition of hotel in a prime location
Upon arrival the greeting was over efficient and very gruff- felt like i was being welcomed into the army accommodation block or prison block for my stay. The room had not been cleaned since the previous occupant as there was rubbish in the bin and the towels and soap had been used (but I did not notice this until my morning shower).

great location, Had family room, four single beds two of which were good, two rather worn. Room all together in need of some tlc (door handle to bathroom dropping off, rubbish tap in sink - splattered you with water unless very very careful). Also found several items of rubbish on floor from previous occupant.

Sehr altes überteuertes Hotel
Abgesehen, dass das Haus alt und extrem hellhörig war, war das Badezimmer eine Katastrophe. Die Dusche war schimmelig, der Wasserhahn tropfte und das Wasser ist weder im Waschbecken noch in der Badewanne richtig abgelaufen. Beim Betätigen der Toilettenspülung ist das Wasser sehr laut in der Badewanne wieder hochgekommen. Die Handtücher haben modrig gestunken. Wir haben am nächsten tag gesehen, dass es ein Nebengebäude mit anscheinend renovierten Zimmern gibt. Der Preis für die Nacht in unserem alten Zimmer war absolut unangemessen.Wir waren froh nur eine Nacht bleiben zu müssen.

We stayed in this hotel 4 years ago in the same room (15), we loved it back then and enjoyed our stay last weekend. Lovely clean room, really quiet as it’s set back from the main road. Superb full English breakfast, you can also help yourself to cereals, yogurts, fruit juice and coffee/tea. Ample parking facilities. It’s in an ideal location for Oxford city centre, a great base for tourists. Will definitely be staying here again.

Impromptu stay in oxford . Greeted with a smile , comfy bed and lovely breakfast . Hotel is just in the middle of a refurbishment so some areas tired looking but what has been done so far looks good .
