This B&B is located on a pedestrian only street/area and is very quiet. Many restaurants on same and nearby blocks. Mini market and pharmacy no more than 3 blocks away. Short walk to major sights.

Staying at this B&B gives you the option of being within easy walking distance of the tourist herding zones without having to fully stay within them. It's easy to get access to the major bus lines (although the trams will be a hike), there's plenty of food in the area, you're right next to the harbor, and the room itself is very nicely rendered and maintained: the only real flaw is not having an outlet near the desk. It takes multiple keys to get in -- four in total -- but the owner has taken the unusually sensible step of numbering them for you. And if you can read Italian, there's a lovely little library section on the second level. This is not only a good central base of operations for Palermo, but also offers the option of retreat when the tourist portions turn too noisy. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great place in the city center.Nice restaurants around.We were little late but when we arrived Germano was already waiting for us he explained everything to us and we got a lot of tips, So nice people and nice stay, we could leave our baggage little longer after check out really recommend

Palermo History
Palazzo Benso is a great 19th century historic building with the flavor of Palermo. Beautiful interior and fixtures. Comfortable bed, perfect for us. Breakfast is lovely with a nice variety of treats. The hosts, Germano and Maria Giovanna, are very gracious and helpful with our Italian language learning process. The location is in the heart of the city with nearby historic sites and great beauty. Interacting with people of Palermo was a wonderful experience.

B&B in centro citta
Stanza ampia, letto molto confortevole e molto buona la conessione wifi. Ha un piccolo terrazo esterno, molto buono l'isolamento dal esterno mentre che dal interno non tanto. Ogni mattina c'era una colazione buona con materia prima di eccelente qualita anche se si puo migliorare. Ogni mattina trovavo il letto stirato, punto. Si vedeva che era stato fatto di corsa o con poca cura. La padrona di casa molto gentile ed anche lui ma non mi è piaciutto trovarlo una mattina leggendo il giornale in sala di collazione guardando un po tutto e tutti, metteva un po a disagio. Ho potuto lasciare il bagaglio a mano fino alla mia partenza ed questo è un valore aggiunto.

Il problema è stato l uso errato del telecomando che regola il riscaldamento. Lei lo teneva impostato su ventilatore anzicchè su riscaldamento (icona del sole).Sono funzioni universalmente conosciute, mi dispiace che ci sia stato questo disguido, spero di poterla rivedere ancora per potere dare il nostro miglior servizio.

This is the most beautiful B & B in Palermo. We stayed in a room that the the most gorgeous Al Fresco ceiling and spectacular Mruano Crystal Chandelier. The manager of the B&B even even walked our luggage to the next hotel so we did not have to carry it over the cobblestone streets and sidewalks. Everything was PERFECT at B&B Palazzo Benso.

It is a lovely property for a short stay, we were attracted by the ceilings and decor and they do not disappoint. Very good breakfast for a small b&b. We did have one problem which was that there is work going on in the street outside on the construction of a metro line. It was noisy during the day, but the proprietor sorted us out by moving us to an unaffected room. He acted quickly and for the rest of the stay we had no problems. I believe the work will be going on for a couple of months.

Perfect location in the center of the City!
I had a marvelous trip around Sicily, stayed with friends in some of the places but the most pleasant visit was in Palermo at the B&B Palazzo Benso !!! What a beautiful Palazzo, full of antiquities and confort... You feel part of this beauty surrounding you and pampered all over ! I couldn't resist staying one more night in spite of the short time at my disposal. The owner is very "simpatico" and I plan to come back next year!!!

Quelle belle demeure!
L'hôtel a beaucoup de charme. C'est une magnifique demeure aristocratique aux plafonds peints à fresque qui a été rénovée tout en conservant son atmosphère d'autrefois. On s'y sent comme chez soi. Les chambres sont énormes et équipées en tout. Le petit déjeuner local, très copieux comprends, thé, café, lait, jus, confitures, biscuits et pain, brioches et "cornetti" frais de boulangerie. Le propriétaire, Germano, est très disponible et essayera de vous aider en tout: il est même venue me chercher à l'arrêt du bus de l'aéroport, seulement à quelques centaines de mètres de l'hôtel. Situé en plein centre ville, pratique pour faire du shopping a proximité vers la via Libertà ou Ruggero Settimo, comme pour se promener à pieds dans le centre historique. J'y retournerai certainement, en famille cette fois! Absolument recommandé!
