Weak continental breakfast. No coffee unless 7-10am . Great location but not much else to offer. Cabana club is outdated. Flushometers on all toilets. Staff was nice. Too expensive for lack of amenities imo.

Mediocre to poor accommodations for the price point. Hardware falling off, no view. Sad, low quality toiletries. Ambience in the lobby it dark and off putting. Not a cozy Or luxury experience.

Convenient to downtown Delray and shopping and restaurants. It’s a historic hotel so has windows AC’s that are very noisy and making sleeping difficult. I would imagine that hotel would be hot during the summer though? Unfortunately, did not get to the Beach Club.

By day, you get a private beach with towels, umbrellas, bathroom/changing areas, and a restaurant. By night, you’re on the main drag but still a few blocks away from the crowds and noise. Great place to spend a few days in Delray.

The staff was knowledgeable . The rooms were neat and clean although no pool or beach but on a main strip for shopping. Did have another location about 2 miles away that you can shuttle to that is on the beach and has a pool. The in window air conditioners were efficient.

Highly recommend. The Beach Club is special. 2 concerns: the bathroom water has a brownish color to it. Your 2 nite per week (S) bartender needs to go back to Charm School. Full course- not just a refresher. Delray needs a noise ordinance for Atlantic Ave. too many trucks with no purpose other than to Gawk at women.

The property is an older building, but in great condition. the room was very quiet and clean and the bed was comfortable. it's very walkable to the beach, restaurants, bars and shops.

Great location, hotel fixtures were a little old but obvs known with it being a historic site. Hotel check in didn't listen, I asked to not have my room number announced and he announced it 2x

Great location. Really enjoyed the live music on Saturday night. The bar in the lobby should have more than one bartender on a Saturday night. I liked the traditional decor of the hotel. However, it smelled like mold, and we heard every sound from the people upstairs. Every step, everything they dropped on the floor. It was not a good night's sleep at all.

Disappointed with the advertising about the pool.
We were very disappointed when arriving after a long flight that there was no pool at the property after seeing all the online pics.Hotel is indeed old looking. that being said was the cleanest place we have ever stayed.Room was large with a great bed and large bathroom.Beware, floor very slippery when wet and ladies remove all jewerly when showering ,drain had no cover it could swallow a large toe.Room cleaning service was the BEST with daily cleaning and fresh towels.Breakfast was absymal, there is no restaurant at this hotel.Our biggest gripe was all the pics of this great pool but no mention of it being 2 miles away.They do provide a shuttle every 2 hours,We drove and parking was no problem.Cabana club served lunch with great food but only from noon till 230.Pool was large and beach front.Location of hotel was great, right downtown next to bars shopping and reatuarants,So a very very old but super clean hotel with no onsite pool,in a great location with a poor breakfast and an after thought fitness room.I want to give this place a higher rating for the service and care,but the pool pics were misleading and were a bring down from what we had expected.Now that I know what to expect we still might stay again,the room care and location were the best. Oh and the hotel bar only opened at 4 pm and there was no bar at the pool,but we brought our own.Again super clean with large rooms in a old hotel with a great location but no pool onsite.

Lovely stay
Historic hotel, lots of cool history. Comfortable room and bed. Very clean property. Great location, easy to walk to restaurants and shops. Very safe area. Wonderful pool and beach club included. Highly recommend.

Historical hotel
Choose this hotel if you wish to stay in a historical hotel. Furniture is traditional and the hotel is colorful. Do not expect a modern hotel with all modern technologies and amenities, it has his own traditional environment. Brekfast was poor. The hotel has a fantastic private beach club located at 2 miles away with shuttle service or car park, a huge pool with showers, sunbeds, a restaurant and private access to the beach, we loved the beach club.

Like being a kid at camp
This hotel is old. Has AC units in the window and a corded telephone in the bathroom. Everything is clean, well cared for. Bed is very comfortable. The real advantage of the Colony Hotel is that it comes with membership at the Cabana Club, two easy miles away. A spectacular salt water pool, cold plunge, private beach, lunch service. Also a great location on Atlantic Avenue and Federal Highway (Route 1) in Delray. A most pleasant comfortable stay.

Colony Club is a gem!
From ease of check in to cleanliness. Breakfast and Cabana club food and Pool area - Santi at the lobby bar.. Music on the porch at night. Walking distance to ever place imaginable. This is my favorite place in Delray!

We had a fantastic weekend stay at the Colony Hotel and Cabanas! I think you must have realistic expectations of an old hotel and know that it’s not the Ritz, but we enjoyed our stay very much. We had a corner room overlooking the Ave which wasn’t too loud and had lots of natural light (or could be blackout if you preferred. The only two things that weren’t pleasant was 1) the downstairs area has a strong musty smell but didn’t smell it at all in our room and 2) the pillows are lumpy and could use a refresh. Otherwise our firm bed was comfortable enough for the price and it was exactly what we needed. The Cabana club was the cherry on top with a large pool and private beach. We will definitely stay here again! 4.5 stars!

Being almost 100 years old, the hotel is a joy, & has its grandeur to this day. Their private beach, salt water pool, & Cabana Club, are wonderful extras to the Colony .. and the central location on Atlantic Avenue cannot be beat .. Highly recommend !!!

This Old World Florida hotel is beautiful & unique in the middle of downtown Delray. Perfect for our last night as residents of Delray Beach ... starting a new chapter somewhere else. Elegant and fun interior finishes ... pet friendly (we do have a very well behaved small dog). Highly recommend.

weekend stay
Stayed there for three nights over the weekend. It is a very charming old hotel. It being old was in no way a negative. Having access to their beach club (2 miles away) was definitely a huge bonus. The best part of the hotel is its location. It is right in the middle of Atlantic Ave with endless options of restaurants/bars and other things to do.
