You wouldn’t stay at this property and my wife and I didn’t. It was a dive. Run down/dirty / not acceptable. We could not get a refund as it was prepay with no refund. Understandable because once you saw it we’d all want a refund. This property should be taken off the list of Expedia listing

I did feel cheated in price for what I paid and what we got. I didn’t feel comfortable with the shower as one of the handle holders was loose with a I wish the owners would invest a bit more for the up keep. It’s in a great location near downtown.

We arrived around 4:30 P. M. As soon as we walked in the room# the place didn't smell clean at all walking into the bathroom the tub didn't even look cleaning had to go buy cleaners to clean it myself. We left to a friend's house when we got back it was like a party was happening people drinking through out the property come 11:00P. M. The noise was so loud children running up and down the stairs and halls they had very loud music untill 2:30 3:00 A. M. By the time we went to sleep it was around 4:00 A. M. Come day light I woke up to a bad smell of sewage that had come up into the tub and the toilet I called the office to let them know and a woman was yelling at me I ask for the manager all I got was sarcasm from the woman we couldn't shower or clean up for that matter I asked for a refund and I was laughed at it was the worst stay in a motel I ever had in my life this place needs to be shut down , Don't waste your money on this place

Place is falling apart inside, roaches are everywhere, drawers hanging, no door knob to the bathroom. Had to move to three different rooms just to have a bed that is decent to sleep on. I will never return nor will I recommend. I pay $150 for the night, think it’s not cheap. Even if this “looks” like a good option for the price. Do not stay here.

There was dirty bedding on one of the beds, under the beds had not been cleaned in what looked like forever, and I’m not sure when it was last updated. I don’t recommend staying there.

DO NOT BOOK HERE by far the worst experience ever. The room smelled terrible. Bed mattresses were completely yellow and stain covered, lights did not work, and the condition of the restroom was horrendous. Do not be fooled by the price. Completely disgusting.

The staff was friendly enough but the other guests were awful. For several hours in the middle of the night there was a crazy women yelling and fighting with other guests who were trying to shut her up. The room was disgusting...rusted out mini fridge, mold where the vanity met the backsplash. Mold on the telephone. The window AC unit's filter was replaced with old dirty sponges. Luckily the bed sheets were clean and the rug appeared to be new. The lamp had no shade on it. One of the two chairs was broken and they were both too dirty to set anything on.The hit tub was half empty and filthy. I slept for about an hour because i was so uneasy.

It was assigned a room were clearly people used to smoke. Staff was friendly but that does not compensate the dirt and the smell... they cleaned the A/C but that is not something you should ask! it should come but default! same with the room, it was changed but why was a dirty room with smoke smell assigned in the first place?

The room was horrible. It was dirty and the mirror was so damaged I could not see myself in it. Please have someone from Expedia conduct a visit of this facility. I had a very pleasant stay. After a complaint about the room first assigned, the owner reassigned my room and everything was as nice as could be. This is economy accommodation, so don't expect great luxury, but it is well worth the money, and there are some elegant touches, such as the tiles in the bathroom.

Though it seems as if they clean the rooms well, the hotel is pretty run down. Bathroom door had no door knob and instead had a towel shoved in the hole where the knob belonged. Also wouldn’t close properly. Felt a bit unsafe seeing the kind of guests that stay there. Then again with those very low prices, you get what you pay for.

Pictures online are deceiving. The sheets were dirty and it had broken windows. I went with my children for a cheer competition and it was full of homeless people. The room was in poor conditions. Never going back.

Room had never been cleaned, ever. Mold, stains, food in the drawers, hair clumps of many different colors clumped in different places of the bed, within the sheets. The tumble weeds of hairs had ‘crumbs’. Flooring peeled up, toilet paper shoved in the crack of the connecting room. Cords dangling. Everything dusty. Less than a 20 sheets on the toilet paper roll. Make up stains on the wash clothes and hairs, stains on the towel. Chairs and bedding and anything else in this room was filthy. My boyfriend and I did not stay the night here, we did not feel safe or comfortable enough to even lay in the bed fully clothed. One bed rolled away from the wall. Mattress covered in piss stains and brown stains. Floor had dirt, sand and who knows what else every where. Even the soap unopened had soap residue on it. We left after 10 minutes max. Non refundable. Didn’t even get the room we prepaid for. And we called in advance to confirm the availability. Either way. Not worth it. Please save yourself. I took lots of pictures of the horror before my eyes. Did not stay long enough to watch any cockroaches or mice. But behind the building is a lot of broken and disgusting mattresses. Don’t do it! Cheap is not everything! There is a reason. Safety comes first

Room was filthy. The bathtub was clogged and water would not drain. Toilet had a noisy leak all night. Told the hotel manager but he said he just got the property. We needed a place to sleep for our children so we stayed that night after a late check in, but we checked out early next morning and demanded a refund for the night we did not stay. They refused.

Cozy vintage lodge in a great location
Cool little vintage motel just south of downtown Palm Springs. Great location, it has a pool. You get what you pay for, the property could use a little tlc The towels were not adequate. I had to buy my own towels at Walmart. The staff is friendly enough. This place is good if you just need a place to crash for the evening. On the bright side, it’s down the street from Elmers café, which has the best brunch in town.

I checked in but did not have a good feeling and ended up staying elsewhere because I had a long drive in the morning and needed a good nights sleep. I booked because there were enough ok reviews, I really just needed a place to sleep, and wanted to check it out. I liked the midcentury motel design and potential to be surprised, but it wasn’t there. I really hope the owners invest some $$$ and give the place a new life because it’s a really cool spot. So much potential.

Bathroom was very dirty looks like if they had been working on ceiling but didn’t clean their mess dust all over I myself had to do some cleaning good thing I carry extra sheets and blankets cause blankets were dusty!! And to top it off we were by the stairs which there’s people in and out talking loud probably chilling there too. Sorry NO I do not recommend this place the outside looks great but not the inside

Not a good place to stay
I would call this place short of being a dump. I checked in on a Friday night. noticed the door lock was red. but didn't know what that meant. Opened the mini fridge to put some bottled waters. There was lots of dead insects; and a wet towel on the bottom, probably to collect water? The toilet was brown at the bottom. Like it needed cleaning or to be a new toilet. The shower stall floor was all cracked and missing pieces. There was lamp with only a lightbult, no cover; strewn across the top of the wall between the bathroom and bedroom. which did not work. Saturday night when I returned to my room, the door would not open. I tried several times for about 15 minutes. Gave up. Walked down to the front desk, but of course at that time, it was closed. So I called several friends to find a place to crash for the night. The next morning I drove to the Lodge. Told the onsight manager what happened. He checked the door; and said the battery pack was dead. So then he had to call the maintenance man to come over and replace the batter pack. So I had to wait another half hour. I told the manager that I should receive some sort of credit for not being able to sleep there Saturday night. He said it was my fault, because I should have rung the doorbell on the other side of the gate. of course I did not know this. And I still think I am owed a credit. So I highly recommend DO NOT stay at the Desert Lodge.

The property was old, run down, bad paint job, floor was dirty (my bare feet were filthy walking in there), smelled of smoke. The wall outlet didn’t work for TV, micro, light. Maintenance had to run an electrical cord under the bed to the TV wall. Towels were old and thin. I left after the second night. Couldn’t sleep one more night in that dump. (I don’t normally review, but I had to speak out.)
