I am truly sorry that we could not accommodate this reservation but i did contact Expedia and have the guest relocated. The Square for our credit cards is back up and working I was able to contact support Tuesday morning to resolve our problem

I'm not sure who you spoke with here at The Sandpiper Inn but I handle all the check ins myself and I have not had anyone come to check in with a reservation and not honor it

This guest did not even show up for their reservation

I first spoke with this guest on April 8th 2023 confirming their reservation and granting their request of an early check-in on the 21st at no additional cost. When the customer arrived the day of their reservation, after quickly checking them in, I showed them their room and made sure everything was okay before handing them the key at almost 3:00 am. Saturday the 22 I received a text message from the guest saying that when she arrived back at the hotel she tried to shower and had no cold water in her room. At which point she gave a list of things she found wrong with her room. When I awoke in the morning and saw her message I did speak with her at which point I offered her another room and apologized for the previous night. After she was in another room I received a message from her that said and I quote, "thank you the water sort of works it's warm enough but there's still no cold water". She said that the slider and the curtain both worked in the room and that the room met her basic needs and served its purpose. She then said thank you and told me she wanted to speak with my boss before she departed. On Monday morning, during her stay here, she used both the outside pool and the inside Spa and had no further contact with me about any complaints on the room. Monday morning before checking out she spoke with my boss and told him she wanted 275 returned because that's what she paid on average a night for the hotel room. My boss apologized to her and offered her a complimentary night stay at the hotel but did not feel that she was owed a refund. After speaking with him she came and said goodbye to me. I had a cup of coffee and some complimentary donuts and they were on their way. The next Monday, I then, received a phone call from Expedia where she had contacted them and asked for a complete refund.

We are sorry to hear this but thank you for bringing it to our attention. We have worked on some of those problems, we no longer have long term customers. And there is a new policy when it comes to pets.
