Clean, comfortable and convenient
We had a one night stay over in David, just to make bus connections before continuing on our trip around Panama. The hotel was modern, clean, comfortable and cool, once we had the A/C turned on, a refreshing break from the heat of David. The hotel is nicely located near the square and reasonably close to the bus terminal.The attached restaurant was also quite convenient with decent food.

Fue muy buena la estadia en el hotel. El unico percanse fue el desucento a jubilado, cuando se hace reserva por internet, no lo dan. Vamos a poner la queja a Acodeco.

No tenían mi reservación y me dijeron que el hotel estaba lleno. Al entregarles la copia de la confirmación indicaron que si no la reñían en el sistema nada podían hacer. Finalmente indicaron que si aceptaba una habitación que me podían dar me registraban. Que si me iba para otro hotel, cabría la posibilidad de que también Hoteles.com me cobrara como un no show. Que llamara yo a Hoteles.com por si podía arreglar algo. Lo intenté pero no fue posible la comunicación. Por mis peticiones el hotel también lo intentó pero igualmente no lograron comunicarse. No me quedó más que aceptar la habitación que me ofrecieron la cual no era de mi agrado pero no tenía alternativa sin el riesgo de tener que pagarla aunque no la ocupara

Very friendly staff not fancy but very clean rooms well kept and on site restaurant food is not fancy but very good. For people who like face and hand towels bring your own only get bath towels but that is customary in that part of the world... Second stay there good experience!!

Bang for the buck!
Older hotel but very well kept room was very clean but do not expect overly hot water or face towels bring your own .Housekeeping and daytime front desk staff very friendly and attentive to your needs, night crew not so much.Adequate restaurant.Very good for the price more than I expected.

It was super small room and the a/c did not keep it cool,the occidental hotel around the corner is a much better value.If the a/c was replace and if they would add some kind of breakfast i would think about staying there.I think you can walk in and get a better rate.For $20 less i could had stay elsewhere.It was clean and the people were nice.

Highly recommend this hotel
I have stayed at Puerta del Sol numerous times. It isn´t fancy, but particularly as a tourist, one has a nice, clean building and room, comfortable beds, nice linens, the staff is very helpful and friendly, has a wonderful restaurant attached to the building, free WiFi throughout the facility, and free parking in a part of town where parking is at a premium. Easy to find. I would highly recommend this hotel for both short and longer stays. (The staff speaks enough English to get along, so communication is not a problem. Staff is always very accommodating.).

clean friendly right in the middle of town for the price it was a great place to stay. I wish they would have a room for two with two bed I like to travel with my girl friend but not sleep in the same bed. couples pay less two single beds would work. thanks

hotel en el centro de david. cerca de todo.
Buen lugar para descansar, no tan cerca del parque, asi que no hay ruido. no hay bares dentro del hotel, asi que no hay fiestas hasta tarde. buen lugar para viajes de negocios o paseos en familia. Excelente restaurante. Probar el cordon blue de pollo.

A pesar de no ser un hotel de lujo, tiene una buena relación precio/calidad. Los empleados del hotel muy simpaticos y siempre disponible a ayudar, lo mismo no se puede decir de los meseros del restaurante

Convenient and Clean Hotel
We were pleasantly surprised how nice this property was considering the low price. There was parking, concierge service was very nice and attentive. Very nice decor throughout the hallways and the guest rooms. Very clean and well lit, also a wonderful bed and we slept like babies.

RESTRICCION EN USO DEL ELEVADOR
Me parece ilógico que no se pueda subir del sotano de estacionamientos al lobby por el elevador. Si llegas con maletas tienes que subirlas por la escalera hasta el lobby. Igual sucede al contrario no puedes ir de un piso al estacionamiento sino paras en el lobby para que ellos metan una llave al elevador y así puedas bajar al estacionamiento.

The hotel is good for the price we paid. You can say it's in the city center of David so you will be close to the supermarkets and various places to eat. The rooms were very simple, althought very spacious and clean. The staff was great! The hotel has free underground parking. The wifi is OK, but sometimes we had trouble with loading pages.
