Audrey was a lovely host, explaining all the housekeeping things from keyless entry to available snack and beverage options. Our breakfast was amazing- delicious! We won't forget The Whistling Swan Bed & Breakfast - and will recommend it to anyone who will be traveling in that area!

It’s a cute space and rooms are very cute. The walkway from the parking lot to main entrance could be more convenient and lit up especially the gravel part of the walkway. Overall cute place I’d visit again

Every morning we had a wide range of choices for breakfast, freshly cooked each morning. Fresh sour dough bread and home made yogurt. The rooms were clean and filled with antique furniture and little decorative items. Very charming!

We stayed in the Waterloo Village, and it was very comfortable. We like a firm bed and this one was very comfortable. The view from the room is the garden with fountain. The room and bath were clean, and the bath had a heat lamp which was nice. Breakfast was excellent and the cookies available in the afternoon were a pleasant treat. The hostess was always pleasant and friendly.

A really lovely place, with a beautiful garden around it and a spacious, inviting veranda. My room was serene and pretty. The breakfast choices were amazing and I really enjoyed the option of having mine outside. And there are lots of really comfortable public areas for relaxing inside as well. Seems like it would be a great place to stay in any season!

Will Stay Again
What a great Inn! The service was wonderful and the Inn itself had so much character. Please keep in mind that the Inn is old and the rooms are small, but if you’re looking for a unique stay with great service, you will not be disappointed. We had to get an early start and requested to go breakfasts which were homemade and ready when promised. Highly recommend!

Audry, the owner, was super accommodating and attentive to a surprise weekend I planned for me and my husband. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast options (which she cooked up herself!) were great. Getting away from a big city for 24 hours and walking into this building took me back in time to a much quieter ambiance. It was a great experience!

The owner was very nice, bedroom was clean, breakfast was good. The outside was unkept, some flowers - however most flower pots were empty, porch needs painting, old wicker furniture on the porch looked dirty but needs painting. Entrance in house very dark and dreary. The furniture is old and felt dirty but wasn’t. The Inn and property looked nothing like the pictures online. I believe it could be beautiful with some painting and sprucing up. I had no problems sleeping and the coffee was great!

The house is beautiful. In a quiet area. Parking is good. It’s behind the property. Audrey is super nice, friendly and makes you feel at home. I’m gluten free and she made a GF breakfast for me. Including blueberry pancakes! She even brought a GF cupcake for a treat for me :-) She and I spoke prior to our arrival. If you have celiac disease, she works with someone to provide GF choices. Snacks and drinks were always available. Stayed in the Waterloo Village Suite. It’s not as large as it appears in the pictures but it’s a nice room. Overall, everything was great and we would stay there again.

Very pleasant! Owners were welcoming, room was clean and comfortable and it was quiet for sleeping. Breakfast in the morning was a nice surprise.

A super stay in Stanhope
My husband and I had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Whistling Swan Inn. We were in the Tranquility room. It was quiet and peaceful as the name implies, but may be a bit quirky for some. Nestled in the back of the house on the third floor, we didn't hear a peep from other guests checking in and out and had a good nights sleep. It is under the eaves so it slants on the window side of the room. My 6 ft tall husband could stand ok in most of it. Neither of us bonked our heads. There's a tv, a chair for reading, a writing desk, and a comfy bed. The bathroom has a huge tub. No issue with water pressure or temperature. Only issue is the shower head gizmo didn't quite sit right so you had to be careful not to get everything wet. Audrey and Everitt were great hosts. Very responsive to any questions, they offered excellent suggestions for local excursions, and made sure there were plenty of snacks. As it was getting cooler, there was hot apple cider available each night and tiny apple donuts including gluten free ones. Breakfast was consistently delicious. A list of options was placed on your doorknob each day so you selected your meal in advance. The house was gorgeous dating back to the early 1900s. It has beautiful woodwork. Audrey said it had one bathroom originally and now it has 13! There's a lovely wrap around porch and pretty garden too. It is close to routes 80, 10, 46, and 206 so very easy to get to your destination.

I just got married and stay here for a short honeymoon and it was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend if you want to get away with a significant loved one. Staff was amazing. Even the smallest off issues the staff took care of almost immediately. could not have chosen a better place and I usually don't post comments but I had to about this place amazing is all I have to say.

A jewel in Stanhope
I am so tired of the chain hotels and the sterile (or, not so) environment they serve up. The Whistling Swan was a breath of fresh air. Family-owned and run, peaceful. The breakfast was balanced and well thought out. The owners took a personal interest - very much appreciated. I will return, and probably over and over.

Our overnight stay was enjoyable and quiet - our accommodations clean and comfortable, and our breakfast truly delicious! The inn is an amazing home built in 1905 - unique and welcoming. Our host was delightful! we would definitely return again.

The room and place seemed okay upon check in, however the house had an odd smell and seemed smaller than the pictures described. Unfortunately I had a family emergency and had to check out early so I didn't really get to experience the breakfast. The woman I spoke with was very understanding on the phone and said she'd give a refund if she was able to rent the room but I never heard back from her or received a refund so I guess I'm out of luck. Very unfortunate though because I would have loved to have the experience everyone else seems to have had.

Great B&B
Very nice, quaint bed and breakfast. Our room was clean and the bedding top notch for an excellent sleeping experience. The grounds are wonderful, and there is a huge wrap around porch with plenty of seating if you’d like to just relax outside or eat your breakfast in the open air. Speaking of which, the breakfast is wonderful. And if you have the chance to get the lemon pancakes, do not pass it up. Best I’ve ever had. All around fantasy stay, we will be staying again. Highly recommended!
