Over all the property catered to all our needs,beds were very comfortable,kitchen well equipped . The only problem I found was the toilets found it difficult to close the door in downstairs area. A design error.

Location was unexpectedly scenic for Victoria and pleasant grassy terrace dining area cute watching the action on the waterways.

Water frontage was so relaxing! Immaculately kept apartment and gardens. Was a peaceful and quiet get away. Will choose Captain Coves again for our next visit

Lovely spot. Two couples easily shared this 2 storey unit. Excellent location, we had our own electric BBQ, carport 2 outdoor sitting areas. Highly recommended.

excellent stay in a well appointed apartment with great activities and friendly staff. beds were a little uncomfortable with sheets which weren't fitted and were scratchy. We wanted to hire bikes but were unable to do due to the office being closed all the time

Very unimpressed with our stay at Captains Cove. The whole resort felt tired and way past its best. Our unit wasn’t clean. Toilet roll holders still had the mostly used rolls from the previous guests. On the terrace area an ashtray was overflowing with cigarette butts. The hot water ran out quickly. The position on the water is great but doesn’t justify the high price. One positive was the king bed that was very comfortable. Paynesville is a lovely spot and our trip to see the koalas on Raymond Island was great. I would simply never stay at Captains Cove again

Excellent two night stay with 5 adults accommodated. Best night’s sleep in a very comfortable bed. I’ll bring the boat next time.

Lovely quiet setting on the canal with a very pretty outlook. We were given some good tips regarding best coffee/places to eat etc upon checking in. We enjoyed our stay at Captains Cove.

Overpriced for the condition. I think for the price maybe we could have had a shower cap, quality body wash, shampoo and conditioner. And perhaps more than four tea bags.

Lots to do or just relax
Amazing place to stay. Great views on the water, private jetty if required. Upstairs balcony and downstairs decked arear with private BBQ and clean outdoor furniture. Shopping and dinning all within walking distance. Loads of outdoor activities, will be going back in the summer.

The best part of staying at Captains Cove was the location and the water views. It's also a quick and easy walk into the main part of Paynesville.

Will Exceed Your Expectations
We really could not fault either Paynesville or Captains Cover Resort both exceeded our expectations. The apartment is modern, well appointed and spotlessly clean. It is a short walk into Paynesville proper and the ferry to Raymond Island and our walk among the koalas. Bairnsdale Golf Course was a short distance from the resort and a pleasure to play.

The resort is well located in Paynesville, and is well organized and immaculately presented. Beds very comfortable and bathroom super clean. Not much to dislike, other than a squeaky couch. Would absolutely return again.

Very comfortable and great facilities
We spent three very comfortable nights in a 2-bedroom apartment. The kitchen had everything we needed, the shower was great. Good wifi connection. Spacious and clean. Would stay again
