Excellent staff & Wonderful experience
In addition to convenient location and beautiful traditional architecture, the staff of the hotel was very friendly, kind and helpful. Particularly, Tom gave us all the best of help when we suffered from some trouble. We had a great experience at the hotel thanks to the wonderful staff, despite an embarassed trouble losting an important item in Penang.

Beautiful East Indies Mansion
The hotel is beautifully restored, transporting you back to another time. There are not all of the modern amenities of some hotels but that is part of its charm. The hotel is located in the heart of of the action. I think the hotel added to our families experience of George Town. If you are lookong for pools, televisions, and room service, rather than the immersion into the experience then perhaps it is better to stay in one of the big resort hotels outside of the hostorical area.

욕실이 밖에 있는지 몰라서 첨에 당황..방 크고 조식도 좋고 무엇보다 직원들이 너무 친절해서 다시 가고싶은 곳입니다.

아름답고 편안한 헤리티지 호텔
조지타운 내 리틀 인디아 바로 옆에 있어요 걸어서 꼼타와 클란제티 씨사이드 모두 관광 가능하구요 주변에 맛집들도 꽤 많습니다 특히 페낭 헤리티지 벽화와 사원 구경에 최고의 위치에요 140년된 중국식 건물에 엔틱한 인테리어 오래되었지만 관리가 잘 되어서 넘 조용하고 편안한 이틀밤 보냈습니다 숙박객은 대부분 연세 있으신 유럽인들이구요 방은 넓고 시원했으며 아침조식또한 깔끔하니 맛있었어요 다음에 페낭을 간다면 가족들과 2층 패밀리 룸에서 꼭 머무르고 싶네요 Hi Jess!! I'm jung~I'm miss you~ I wll go back east indies someday!! Thank you so much your kindness!

객실침대는 라텍스로 아주 편한했음 건물이 240년된 건물이지만 오래된 느낌을 잘보존하면서도 센스있는 인테리어 및 소품으로 고즈넉한 느낌이 있음. 직원들이 친절하고, 특히 주간근무하는 jc라는 직원은 매우 유쾌하고 친절했음. 다시 가고 싶을 정도로 괜찮은 호텔이긴하나, 지리적으로 리틀인디아거리에 있는만큼 인도상점과 인도인들이 많음. 기타 거리보단 볼 거리 및 즐길거리가 없다는게 단점

편안하고 좋았어요
헤리티지 하우스여서 신선하면서 아름다운 곳 이였습니다. 3명이서 한 방에 지냈는데, 무료로 업그레이드 해주었구요. 은은한 조명도 아름다웠어요. 항상 방에 들어가면 침대 위에 꽃 잎을 뿌려놓으셨더군요. 어머니께서 아주 좋아하셨습니다. 취향저격! 첫 날에는 티랑 간단한 쿠키도 주셨어요. 아침을 먹는 곳도, 작은 정원이며 거실 같은 곳도 너무 예뻤습니다. 인디아 거리을 지나가며 시끄러우면 어쩌지? 걱정했는데, 안에 들어와서는, 정말 조용하고 편안한 분위기 였어요. 한가지 아쉬운 점은 헤리티지 하우스라 그런지, 벽 면에 하얀색 시멘트 가루가 조금 떨어졌어요~ 호스트 분은 너무 친절했구요~ 편안하게 대해 주셨어요. 정말 만족!!!!!!!!!

Nice experience.
My family stayed for one night at the hotel (Mansion). The room was so clean and beautiful. We felt happy with all things in there. Staffs are very kind so we didn't feel any problem for staying. Location is awesome, breakfast was so nice, nothing to say bad for the hotel. I want to buy the sofa in the living room for my house :) it was so comfortable.

The building of the hotel has 200 years of the history. It's amazing that we can actually stay such a historical building. In addition, the interior are well maintained and it matches with the historical building.

わが家のように過ごせました
使われなくなった古民家をフルリノベーションされたヘリテージホテル。プラナカンハウスの様式そのままで、泊まることで造りのすばらしさに触れることができます。それぞれの部屋以外はエアコンはないのですが、エアコンがなくても涼しく快適に過ごせる風の通る居心地の良いホテルでした。なんと言っても一番素晴らしかったのは、居心地です。わが家で過ごしているかのようなとても心地よい、ホテル暮らしとは思えない過ごしやすさでした、ホテルの方もとても気さくでフレンドリーでした。初めてならここがおすすめだよと様々なことを教えてくれます。バスで行くならこうとか、とても優しいです。朝食も毎日７種類の中から選べ、中庭を前にゆったりと一日を始めることができました。困ったことがあっても即座に対応してくれ、何の心配もいりませんでした。また、こんなにコストパフォーマンスの良いホテルは見たことも、聞いたことも、体験したこともありません。ペナン、ジョージタウンのヘリテイジに宿泊するならこのイースト インディーズ マンション以外には考えられないのではないでしょうか。

Beautiful heritage mansion in the heart of Georgetown, location was great with easy access to tourist sites and quay buses to the airport, Penang Hill and beaches at the national park. Breakfast choices from traditional Penang to western fare + fresh fruit.

Highly recommended
We stayed here at the start of a family holiday and were impressed with everything! The beautiful historic building, our super comfortable suite and the delicious food. We would like to mention Sandra in particular, who was so welcoming and made our too short stay so memorable. 10 out of 10!

This hotel is charming. The rooms are spacious and airy and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring Georgetown. I would recommend it for a relaxed holiday.

There was absolutely nothing what we did not like! We loved the history of the place, it was unique and the staff Ben, Sandra and Bell were wonderful. Always there with a smile and little ideas what to do next. The room was huge and super clean. So many details every where and so quiet. Outside is the hustle and bustle which is super great and inside is peace and quietness! We would come back any time.

Had a wonderful stay. Staff was awesome! Great customer svc with a personal touch provided. Bfast was also great. My son didn't want to leave as he was truly enjoying his stay. A great hotel with a very vintage feel. Special compliments to Sandra,Tom, Zal & Dell - they made our stay felt more special. Thank you!

A Quiet and Relaxing Refuge
We liked this place-- and George Town--very much. Sandra's attention to service-- making us feel welcome, well-fed, and helping us to discover the layout and sights of Penang-- was exceptional. Her restaurant suggestions were very good. She was also very kind to my 7-year old granddaughter. The hotel and our room were very clean. The location is very good for exploration of George Town. Minor suggestions for improvement include: -Make sure rooms have more toilet paper -Soap is refilled in bathroom -Clarify clean towel replacement policy.

We had an amazing time at the East Indies Mansion. The location was great and the staff were excellent. Sandra went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible and prepared Tosai for our breakfast. All in all an excellent stay.

Enjoyable 2 nights stay
Friendly and hospitable staff with personalised service. A good stay to experience how an old Peranakan house is like. Location was pretty good too. Only issue we had was with the water heater, but it was resolved quite quickly upon bringing it up to the staff.

An affirmation to every wonderful review we read!
Ou stay was AMAZING & service provided was exceptionally great! The staff were friendly, prompt & knowledgeable. A huge shoutout to Nick & Sandra! They were people that we interacted with the most. Nick can always be seen smiling & he makes you feel right at home! Sandra goes above & beyond to make your stay like no other. She is sharp to turn any remark to an opportunity for customer delight. She also gave us a lot of recommendations on places to visit. The whole masnsion is wonderfully furnished & restored with a historical taste. We are very pleased with our room. It is beautiful. We would also like to affirm every wonderful review on East Indies Mansion we have read before our trip. IT IS TRUE. We will definitely return & will be glad to refer everyone we know to stay here.

All the staff at Hotel is excellent. Sandra, Nick, Tom and other guys. From check in to check out can't fault anything. What make the stay memorising is the staffs. Have been stayed many hotel over the years but this one stand out. Having no TV even makes things interesting as we spend more quality time as family.

An oasis of serenity in the bustle of central Georgetown, you won't find a better place to stay. Smashing location - right in Little India with food and market stalls on the streets, central to the Old Town with street-art everywhere and a few minutes walk to the main bus station. The hotel is a scrupulously clean immaculately restored old mansion with spacious rooms and all the amenities. The staff are wonderfully friendly and attentive. You won't be sorry you chose to stay at East Indies Mansion but you will, like us, be sorry to leave.

充滿歷史感的老宅也是超值的好旅店，地理位置極佳，工作人員個個服務友善親切，也有會說中文的服務人員喔！
有室內梯的兩層樓房型，只有樓上有衛浴稍微麻煩，而且樓梯是垂直的旋轉梯不太好爬，所以大行李也不好搬上樓。不過房間很大，公共客廳、餐廳、休息區很大，而且處處都很乾淨，是一間裝潢設計很棒的百年歷史老宅，充分展現當地文化特色。而且包括前台的旅店女主人，服務人員個個都非常友善親切，地理位置也很好，觀光飲食都方便，很值得推薦的好住宿。

First stayed here in 2017 and enjoyed it so much I came back a second time. The East Indies Mansion is well-located, just a stone's throw from Little India and all the other heritage sites in Georgetown, and it's a comfortable hotel with a delightful ambiance. Always happy to come back.

2 storey, with 3 beds (took cinnamon room), and the place was really nice. There are shared kitchen, living area and stuffs. Close to little india, padang kota lama, and the jetties.

雰囲気は良い
ただし築100年か200年か忘れましたが、見た目は綺麗にしていてとてもいいです。 トイレもシャワーも綺麗で、レンジ、飲料水の補給場もあります。 日本のホテルと同様のアメニティがあります。 昔ながらの家の雰囲気が出ていて最高です。 ただし、2階からの足音、多少大きい会話の声、全部聞こえます。 部屋での会話はほぼ聞こえると思うので部屋で談笑できません。 なので、うるさい環境で寝られない人は絶対にお勧めできません。 西成の簡易宿泊所の方がまだ静かです。あそこは扉の閉める音がうるさいだけなので... まぁ、観光で疲れ切って寝るだけなら問題ないです。 コムターまで歩いて15分、周りは世界遺産の建物ばかり、飲食もマレー、インド、中華系料理が周りにたくさんあり困りません。 コンビニも歩いて5分かからず。 ジョージタウン観光にはもってこいでした。

I love the ambience once you step inside at the entrance, vintage and luxury on its own. The room is also really comfortable, their staff are really kind and helpful. We stayed for 2 nights in Nutmeg C. The hotel located at Little India, which is why it is hard to find a parking if you are driving. The area is also easily accessible by public transport so no problem if you don't rent a car. It was a pleasant stay and I will choose this place if I come to Penang again :)
