Das Hotel ist architektonisch ein Highlight. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr warmherzig, zuvorkommend und höflich. Alle Miarbeiter kümmern sich mit höchster Aufmerksamkeit um ihre Gäste. Sanjeev leitet das gesamte Team am Strand und Pool vorbildlich, ist extrem verantworungsvoll und immer Ansprechpartner für alle Gäste. Die Gastronomie hat in der Qualität manchmal Schwächen, ist jedoch gutgemeinter Kritik zugänglich. Das Rooftop Restaurant habe ich nur einmal besucht und danach wegen mangelnder Aufmerksamkeit des Personals gemieden. Insgesamt habe ich mich als Gast sehr wohl gefühlt und bedanke mich für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Amazing hotel. Fab access to the beach. 3 pools, water sports included. Food immense. Staff super helpful. Make you feel at home. Sunset was unreal. Can’t fault the hotel and will be returning! Shout out to Avi (pool) Arvin (beach rouge) Leila (concierge)

The service at this resort is impeccable. Every aspect is luxury from the rooftop pool to the beautiful beach. There is an abundance of loungers and while some people put out towels at sunrise, it was unnecessary as we never had a problem finding a longer at any time of day. This might not be the resort for you if you have children that would like to be entertained but as a couple enjoying a romantic getaway this was exactly what we were looking for. Lots of bars and restaurants close by although the food at LUX was excellent as well!

Absolutely beautiful property. Well maintained. We loved that there were adult only options for relaxing by the pool. The food was not the best we have ever had but not terrible. Loved that there were multiple places to dine on the property as well. We ended up spending a majority of our time at the resort because it was such a nice space and perfect for resting and recharging our batteries.

We have stayed at several properties in Grand Baie over the years and this property is very good in terms of the building and location, however it is let down (I am scoring on the basis of a 5* resort and in comparison to others nearby) by a very poor check-in (40-45 min wait in lobby followed by issues with booking and having to produce my reservation confirmation), service in the main restaurant can be extremely slow (eg 30 min for a coffee at breakfast and long waits between courses at dinner). However these issues are partially offset by a small number of very good staff whose efforts make the overall experience very good. I dont believe the Lux delivers sufficient uplift in service to justify the uplift in price when compared to neighbouring properties (4* and 5*)

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The architecture is amazing and the views are beautiful. Everywhere is kept clean and you feel at home. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly especially the hotel manager Nicolas! The food from breakfast to dinner was delicious. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner in Ai Ki Su which was made even better by our amazing waiter Oliver. This hotel is most definitely 5* and we will surely be back.

One of the most beautiful and luxurious properties with amazing service. Great place for a family holiday with my 3 year old- lotsa shells to pick instead of broken coral which seems pretty standard for Mauritius. Small beach but lovely. Great pool. Can’t praise it enough. Wished we stayed longer. Our rooms were on the ground floor and was lovely. Food was amazing. Best brekkies on the island and steaks on the Josper grill were delicious! We went to Jw marriot at le morne after and felt really disappointed with the rooms especially after Sugar Beach Mauritius and Lux Grand Baie and wanted to move back to the Lux group to Lux Le Morne but it was full house and staff say it’s always full so book in advance!!!!!

We stayed 3 nights. The hotel is beautiful and our room on the 3rd floor was very modern and comfortable. The location is great looking over a sheltered bay with lots of complimentary water activities available such as kayaking, paddle boarding etc.. We were also pleased to find quite a good selection of restaurants within walking distance (Bullies and the Beach House in particular). We were very impressed with the facilities especialy the complimentary sauna and steam room within the spa. The only downside for us was the lack of privacy between the main buidling room balconies.

Vistelsen var väldigt uppskattad av oss, vi blev positivt överraskade när vi togs omhand väl med konstant service. Hotellet hade en hel del vatten aktiviteter som ingick vilket vi uppskattade. Maten var rakt igenom en upplevelse i sig.

Excellent séjour
Magnifique hôtel,la restauration est EXCEPTIONNELLE.Tous les produits utilisés sont de grande qualités. Le personnel est attentionné et très serviable. Le restaurant Bisou au Rooftop est un must ainsi que l’Aikizu doté du night club de l’hôtel où le DJ résident Big Papa officie. Le restaurant Beach rouge possède une cuisine italienne succulente et l’ambiance à la piscine au Wet Bar nous fait penser à celle d’Ibiza. L’équipe de la réception est dotée d’un sens de l’écoute et fait tout pour vous faire plaisir. Le SPA est magnifique,avec Anju pour les massages,et,Jennifer pour la coiffure. Le service à la plage avec différents jeux proposés par les animateurs. La propreté et le service en chambre. Bémol : Manque d’intimité sur le balcon dû au voilage séparant les balcons. Pensez à faire un petit Business Corner avec ordinateurs et imprimantes,et,un petit kiosque à journaux et magazines.

I came to Mauritius to celebrate my birthday. Choose north of the island because it have the best weather and magnificent sunsets. Decided to stay at Lux Grand Baie. I am blown away. When you drive up to the hotel right away you see how beautifully it is designed. Lobby of the hotel will leave you speechless. You walk up to the balcony and see beautiful view of the beach and hotel surroundings. You are being greeted with a delicious non alcoholic drink. Suenna was taking care of me. I have not enough good things to say about her. She is wonderful. I came all by myself and flew all the way from USA. They made sure they have room ready for me when I came very early. She checked on me everyday and made sure I didn’t feel I was there by myself. When I went for dinner for my birthday she had cake ready for me. What a lovely gesture. Will always be thankful for that to her. All the restaurants and bars were spectacular. Breakfast was my favorite. Literally they have everything and much more. Make sure to stop by lobby bar and order coffee and enjoy desserts. I cannot thank Suenna enough and all the stuff at Lux Grand Baie for incredible stay and service. I would highly recommend this hotel. Also hotel is located near town so you can walk and enjoy local cuisine and go shopping. Once again thank you so much for wonderful stay.

Stunning views and décor. The staff were welcoming and willing to please guests with a genuine hospitable attitude. Residential villas were amazing and extremely clean.

Bel hôtel dans l’ensemble, jolie décoration malgré les finitions à revoir … La piscine privative de notre Pool Résidence était verte au bout de 5/6 jours ( sur un séjour de 12 jours) et malgré de nombreuses demandes, la piscine n’a pas été nettoyé .. (cf photo) Déception également sur l’accueil qui nous a été réservé : Presque aucune précision sur l’hôtel ne nous a été renseigné à l’arrivée: nous n’avons appris que la veille du départ que l’hôtel disposait d’un espace « balnéo » réservable. En tant qu’honeymooners nous avions le droit à différentes prestations: Spa, shooting photo, petit déjeuner spécial … Rien ne nous a été spécifié à l’arrivée, mise à part la livraison d’un maigre plateau de fruit et bien que soyons allé voir la personne au milieu du séjour pour le lui signaler, cette personne a fait semblant d’être surprise et de ne pas savoir que nous avions le droit à toutes ces choses… mais rien n’a changé elle ne nous a pas recontacté jusqu’à la fin du séjour. Nous avons fait part de ce désagrément au moment du check out et nous offert quelques consommations du séjour en compensation, décevant …

Un sejour inoubliable
Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel pour notre lune de miel. L'équipe du Lux Grand Baie est extrêmement sympathique et à l'écoute : que ça soit à l'accueil avec Suenna, au Beach rouge avec Vick et Sas, au Bisou ou encore à la plage, c'était un plaisir d'échanger avec chaque membre de l'équipe. Par ailleurs nous sommes ravis d'avoir pu profiter du package honeymoon qui nous a permis de passer de merveilleux moments au Lux. Chaque petite attention du quotidien est apprécié. Enfin, le domaine du Lux est absolument sublime. Le séjour était tout simplement parfait. Un grand merci à toutes les équipes.

Nous avions réservé un penthouse pour 5 adultes. Appartement très design et raffiné. Récemment finalisé, il restait encore quelques finitions de peinture et d'électricité. En conséquence, nous n'avons pas pu bénéficier de la piscine chauffée et avons subi quelques coupures d'électricité récurrentes. Le point négatif est la localisation du penthouse : en arrière de l'hôtel, de l'autre côté de la route même si une passerelle nous y relie. De ce fait, cela donne une impression d'excentré, pas de vue sur les aménagements superbes de l'hôtel ni de la mer ou des piscines et jardins et une nuisance sonnore de la route. A part ce point qui reste majeur, accueil du niveau d'un grand hôtel et des prestations de qualité.

Vi hadde et helt nydelig opphold på LUX grand Baie. Alt er splitter nytt, rommene er helt nydelige, og det samme med stranden og resten av fasilitetene. Velutstyrt treningsrom. Vil anbefale reisende med barn om å be om rom på bakkenivå da det er deilig med direkte adgang til basseng/strand fra terrassen, og barn som sover på dagtid kan fint ligge inne med babycall.
