Great Hotel for Family (가족단위 여행객에게 적격)
Calm, Clean, Kind and Comfortable Hotel to stay with your family. Room is clean. Pool acess room is great. There are several cheap and really good restorants near to hotel ane beach is near. You can visit Banniang Market with taxi only about 300 ~ 400 baht. Staffs are Kind. Recommandable if you are looking for calm hotel to spend your holidays. 한국에서 오시는 분들은 카오락에 관한 정보가 많이 없습니다. JW 메리어트나 샌티도에 많이 묵으시는 것으로 알고 있는데, 풀억세스룸이 꽤나 괜찮습니다. 푸켓의 시끄러움이 싫으신 분들께서는 초등학생 정도 자녀를 동반한 가족단위 여행객에게 적격입니다. 풀사이드 바에서 맥주가 100바트 수준이니 부담없이 즐기실 수 있고, 근처 식당들도 훌륭합니다. 특히 호텔 해안가쪽으로 나가서 양쪽에 있는 레스토랑들은 가격도 저렴하고 추천할 만합니다.

Budget but an incredible place to stay
Whilst not a 5 star hotel (as it’s advertised) this property is incredible and very good value for the price. The beach outside is the best we’ve ever seen and the room design is perfect for families. We absolutely loved our stay here although the food/drinks are at a 3-star level. Just eat outside the hotel- amazing restaurants on the beach!

We booked an adult only area with a jacuzzi, the jacuzzi did not work and both adjacent rooms had young noisy children , especially in the adult only swimming pool, the swim up bar was closed , and other outlets had very limited opening times, certainly not worth the money we paid for this level of facilities

Thank you for your feedback to us.After check the record, your booking was booked on Deluxe Suite Pool Access Jacuzzi under Mai Khao Lak Beach Resort & Spa (FAMILY Zone). Your room #145 was correct as per booking. If you want to stay at ADULTS only zone, you have to select Mai Holiday by Mai Khao Lak. Or, you just inform us upon arrival date then we can help to solve this issue for you. But we just know after you travel and gave us a feedback here.For the Jacuzzi, we also got informed next day (28 May). But we asked our Engineering to check and fix it for you immediately.For the pool bar at ADULTS only zone, we did not close. It's opened from 12 pm to 5 pm daily.For the outlets operating time, we have done to inform our guests during check in. Unfortunate that you stayed with us short period then did not have much more time to get experienced on our hotel facilities and outlets.We hope that to get a chance welcome you back next time and stay longer with us.

Fräscht hotell, Bra service och supertrevlig personal, Bra priser på hotellet samt finns det lite restauranger och massagestolen på stranden nedanför. Skapligt läge mot stan hade varit skönt lite närmare för vår skull. Minus till barnpoolen som barnen såg fram emot, helt hopplös att bada i, sand på botten på kakelplattorna gick inte att gå där, hjälm på vattenrutschkanan barnen vägrade bada där som annars älskar vattenland. Stora poolen saknas mosaikplattor här och där och trillar av nya hela tiden då alla barnen påmhotellet roa sig med att plocka upp dessa och tävla vem som hitta flest. Trädäcket runt poolen väldigt löst och uppstickande skruvar måste ha skor och se sig för vart man går.

Bra hotell i lugnt läge på Khao Lak. Lite dyrare än andra hotell vi bott på i Thailand. Barnen älskade shower osv, poolerna är barnvänliga. Maten på hotellet ok, men inte så mycket mer Finns bra restauranger på stranden nedanför.

Værelserne var udemærket opdelt og størrelsen acceptabel til en familie på 4, men i dårlig stand. Vi var nød til at flytte værelse én gang grundet kraftig lugt af fugt og det håndterede de desværre ikke godt, hvilket nok har udløst det dårlige samlet indtryk. Det andet værelse virkede umiddelbart bedre ventileret, men efter et par dage sneg samme lugt sig ind. Beliggenhed fin i forhold til strand og gode udendørs faciliteter. Hotellet er delt i to sektioner og andet sektion længst væk fra stranden er nyere og værelserne mere attraktive, men ulempen er afstanden til hjertet af området samt vigtigst af alt stranden. Jeg er sikker på at man nok skal få et ganske fint ophold, men det er ikke et sted vi ville besøge igen.

Great family destination
We had a great stay with our family of 5 and enjoyed the beach and the large pool landscape. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained and the staff very friendly and committed. The food in the hotel restaurants could be improved but we saw that the staff is currently in training to expect improvement soon.

Flott hotell, nydelig strand oglokal område.
Flott hotell med topp service og svært imøtekommede ansatte. Rommet var fint men preget av fukt. Burde vært bedre ventilasjonsanlegg som reduserte fukten. Vi reiste i juli og mye av hotellfasilitetene var stengt. Naturlig nok grunnet lavsesong, men burde vært opplyst om samt kompensert. Nærområdet var nydelig! For en strand! Kjempegod mat på noen av de strandliggende lokale restaurantene! Anbefales!

Our experience was poor. The resort advertises about being family friendly but the rooms are all single bedroom and tiny! Staff were rude and unhelpful, and the majority of the resort was not open as it was low season. The pools look good but in reality are average. They are extremely shallow (no deeper than 1.3M) and are heavily chlorinated. The food they served was disgusting, so we ate elsewhere. I would recommend booking somewhere else!

Dear Khun Loretta, Sorry for your experience at Mai Khao Lak. We will take your case seriously, the management would like to know more details for who rude to you as this is a seriously case. The bed in the hotel is 7 feet and you also got that bed, then the staff help you to move down to stay the room near your family as your requested. The swimming pool, we do have so many swimming pools in the resort which you can choose to swim, some shallow as for child, some deeper as you can try the deepest one near the beachfront. I hope that you will give us a chance to let us see you again in the future.

Good place for kids but not for discerning adults
The rooms were spacious with two separate rooms where the lounge could be made up into another double bed to accommodate parents and children in separate rooms and the pools were extensive with lots of separate areas with lounges. The children’s pool area had an excellent water slide area although there were a few injuries while we were there. The breakfast was ample and I loved the fact there was a selection of freshly squeezed juices, including my favourite, carrot juice. However, the resort was badly let down with its cleanliness. Dirty plates were left outside rooms for days, attracting wildlife and ants and often rooms weren’t cleaned until late afternoon and even 9pm one night, when the children were in bed. The cleaning was very superficial with a quick wipe over of surfaces. Toiletries were often not replaced and had to be asked for. Having read other bad reviews about the hotel, it did appear as though the hotel was trying to look as though they were doing something about it as towards the end of our stay they had staff taking photos of each other performing customer service. This was particularly evident in the breakfast area where someone was being photographed on one occasion going around talking to guests. Of course this only happened when the photographer was in tow.

Terrible. Don't book here!!
Hotel under renovattion. Mostly closed down. Like ghost town with disappointed guests and disinterested staff. was offered a refund for our eaarly departure ut have not heard back since, even after several emails. Never again. Isolated location with nothing to do. Lot of stray dogs for the kids to play with.

Dear Khun Heidi, Thank you for your time to review us. During your stay was raining very hard, monsoon destroyed one of our outlet roof then we had to close it urgent. We do have 3 outlets open (The Meal, The Buffet, Thea coffee shop and 2 pool bars at that time of 10 days) Actually we did close only Green and Grill as it was damaged by storm. And some outlets are operated according to the weather permitted which this kind of information is available on the hotel's website and the front staff will brief this information upon arrival. The street dog, we're aware of that and we took them to Vetertinary as need to vaccine. No activities, as it was raining quite hard, we do have some entertainment during dinner only.. sorry for the bad weather during that period. We know that you would like to early check out, that we return the rest of the accommodation cost that you did not stay but cannot refund for your actual stay. Note: For the refund of the rest of nights that you did not stay with us is already on processing by bank then you can get the paymetn into your account according to your payment round on credit card. オフシーズンだとイマイチかも
13:20に到着したが、部屋の準備がされておらず、定刻の14時まで入れなかった。フロントは1人でてんやわんや。412部屋だったが、ちょっとだけ海が見れるのみ。ビーチまでは徒歩で5分くらいかかる。オフシーズンに入ったため、フードコート等はクローズしていた。ミニマートは最低限のものしか売っておらず、シンハーもタイガーも一律50バーツ。部屋の冷蔵庫に何も入っていない。カオラックセンター（約20分: Nang Thongのママクドナルド前）まで定期バスが9時、11時、13時、帰りは13時半、16時半のみで、すぐに満席になるため、事前にフロントでリストに載せてもらう。朝食ビュッフェは3箇所で6時から10時半まで。タイのホテルの普通のビュッフェ。バナナパンケーキ、野菜炒めが美味しい。オムレツを作ってくれる。 フロントで氷を頼み、誰かに電話していたが、結局誰も来なかった。部屋の掃除も11時に表示を出したが、15時まで来なかった。翌日は9時に出して、12時半に来た。ミネラルウォーターは毎日4本提供される。部屋が広く、テレビが2つ並んで掛かっているが、同じメーカーのため、点けてない方も電源が入るなど面倒。30チャンネルあり、各国のチャンネルがあるが、日本向けはない。バスタブがなく、シャワーのみ。シャンプー、リンス、ボディソープがポンプ式ボトルに入っているため、使いやすい。ホテルを出てもビーチ沿いにレストランが数軒あるのみで、ちょっとした買い物をするには不便。日本人はいないが、中国人家族連れがロビーでもレストランでも部屋のドアを開けてでも大きな声で話している。

Fint hotel. Hvis du bor i voksenafdelingen er der dog et godt stykke til stranden. Servicen er langsom. Der manglede håndklæder på værelset hver dag og værelset blev først gjort rent efter kl 17 hverdag.

Super lækkert resort for hele familien
Super fantastisk resort med noget for alle aldre. Masser af børneaktiviteter på land samt i pools. Stort udvalg i morgenmadsbuffet og hurtig og super venlig personale til at rydde af. Lidt øde område men dog gratis shuttlebus ind til byen (10 min kørsel). Synd at der er meget groft sand i pool ved piratskibet, gør lidt ondt at gå i som forældre. Dejlig service at alle butikker/restauranter kan man skrive regning på værelsets nr. Fantastisk mad på resortens restauranter, især Talay nede ved stranden. Minishoppen på resorten var rigtig dyr på badebleer, strandlegetøj, solcream m.m.

Mycket bra standard och service. Återkommer till detta ställe nästa år. Nyare delen hade högre standard men fortfarande hög standard på gamla delen. Poolaccessen på båda var toppen, äldre delen mer lämplig för barn under 5 år (ej simkunnig).

Discrimination against Asian guests by some staff
At breakfast one morning, I asked for two fried eggs at the omelette corner. A couple of minutes later, I returned to get the eggs, which were just about ready. At that moment, a European guest came and asked for the same. The female staff making the eggs put the done eggs on a plate and was about to give it to the European guest first right in front of me. Only when I said ‘that’s mine’ did she withdraw the plate from the European guest and give it to me. After breakfast, we found water gushing out from the toilet bowl in our room. After fifteen minutes and two calls without any help coming, I went to the front desk personally. The staff were all engaged with various guests, so I queued up. A European lady then came and stood beside me. Then, a staff came out from the office behind. He came across to us and asked the European lady how he could help, totally ignoring me. I said to him ‘Excuse me’ twice, but he pretended not to hear me. Only when I said ‘Can you hear me?’ did he turn to me. I told him I was queuing up before the European lady came, and demanded to know why she was served first. A female staff noticed what was happening, came over and indicated to the male staff to leave. She then resolved the toilet problem for me. The next morning at the omelette corner, the same lady, obviously recognizing me, vengefully went ahead to serve a European guest who came later than me first. I've told the head manager and restaurant service manager about these incidents.

Lapsiperheille tarkoitettu hotelli sijaitsi kaukana kaikesta. Hotellialueella lapsille paljon aktiviteetteja, mutta ravintoloissa palvelut eivät toimineet alkuunkaan: tunnin odotusaika lapsille on pitkä ja yleensä siihen mennessä sait vasta tilattu. P.S. Huoneessa haisi viemärille ihan hirveästi!

Nice hotel next to the beach
Stayed there last year and again this year. New section opened and older section under renovation. Very peaceful and relaxing. Close to beach restaurants. Much quieter than Phuket. Staff absolutely wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms very spacious and the beds were soooo comfortable. Lovely new lagoon pool with pirate ship and water park for younger children. Adult only section with their own pool. Hzd a great time.

酒店房間舒適整潔，員工有禮笑容滿面。早餐豐富款式多美道很好！ 酒店附有沙灘……可惜天氣原因浪大不太合適游泳，但在沙灘享受陽光也不錯！ 沙灘傍邊有很多餐廳，味道好價錢合理！ 泳池很大！池泮吧的pizza，沙爹串燒味道很正，價格合理，又沒有加收服務費！ 今次只入住三晚，下次一定要多住幾天！

quiet and convenient hotel
We are a retired Australian couple and we have stayed at the hotel twice in the last 3 months. We went with a Luxury Escapes package for 8 nights and it was so good we returned for 4 nights on our way back from Europe. the hotel is good value for money and offers a great breakfast in the nightly rate.

Sängarn var stenhårda, pina för ryggen.Frukostmatsalen som en skolmatsal.Restaurangpersonalen dåligt utbildad.Maten serverades så att de första hann äta sin mat innan de sista vid bordet fått sin mat.Som tur var fanns det bra och billiga thailändska restauranger på stranden. Belysningen på rummen var dålig, för mörkt.Även belysningen inom området var undermålig.Poolerna var för barnen.Jag rekommenderar inte detta hotell.

Stunning hotel!
We had stayed in 3 other 5 star hotels before arriving at Mai Khao Lak, when we entered our pool access room we were blown away by how gorgeous the room was. It was clean spacious contemporary thai style and our room was opposite the swim up bar. My Fiancé loved the pool and the cocktails were divine! The service is unbelievable, everyone is attentive to your needs. It is kid friendly, we have a two year old we will bring here on our next trip. Great breakfast buffet too. Overall an excellent resort worthy of 5 stars.

Extreme Contrast to Patong
Be aware that the hotel will customize the hotel to big Chinese groups who will leave the hotel very early every morning (sometimes at 5.00 AM) and everyone will know about it...........as of 9.00 AM the hotel is quite until 6.30 PM. People who just want to relax will like the place, others looking for entertainment will be bored or pay a high price for organized tours due to the distance to the hot spots. The rooms are huge and nice. The Spa is very good but very expensive. The staff makes all the difference, they try hard to level out the negative aspects of the hotel and will support in all aspects. They recommended a trip with a private driver (Peace) which was excellent. Received a late check-out (3 pm). Remembered my favorite drinks and food (at breakfast and for dining) despite the significant number of new group arrivals. Remarks for the hotel management: (1) The big buses in-front of the hotel pollute the environment and the smog travels to the rooms and entrance. (2) Inform all guest about the danger of current during monsoon season, the Chinese guest seem not to have understood the red flags and went into the sea at 8.00 pm in the evening, leaving the beach guard who could not communicate with them, in panic. (3) Consider revising the Spa prices. (4) make sure that at least the cooking classes take place although all chefs are tied up with preparing Chinese buffets for the large groups (4) invest in a more stable internet connection
