I love this hotel. The setting is beautiful, right next to Printz Park, view of the water, walking distance to a good Italian restaurant (Romanos) and the gave me the room with the best view in the hotel. Big refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Thank you so much for this room selection.

If I could give negative score I would. Absolutely disgusting. Room was filthy, the room had extreme damages. Place is trashed around the property. Ran down, and should be condemned. There is a Holliday Inn 5 feet away stay there instead. I would have switched and canceled but was told o could not get a refund. Had no choice but to stay.

Definitely not what is represented in the photos. paint peeling smell in hallways, floors sticky in room door falling off hinges.

Do not book this place. Hideously dirty and moldy. I rarely leave reviews, much less negative ones — but this place was so horrible that I want to warn others to stay away. Anything else is better than this place.

Took a out of town trip from Los Angeles to Essington for a few days decided to stay at this location. I have no complaints. It’s right next to the water, there is a park that’s about connected to the parking lot. Mainly what I enjoyed that it was easy to commute from that part of pennsylvania to connecting cities like New Jersey & New York ! Honestly i’ll probably stay there again.

If you can tolerate the sticky floors, dirty bathroom, the noise of flying airplanes, flushing toilets next door and screaming seagulls, this place is for you. The beds are not bad for the price you pay. We only had to stay one sleepless night (TG!).

The room pitures and the "water front" in the name mislead me. Though it is water front we found thisnplace to be nasty and a rundown motel. We didnt stay the whole night as we planned and left in a few hours as the state of the room made us feel depressed.

It was probably a nice place 40 years ago. The clerk was rude. Room was quite gross and i probably would've have stayed there if i wasnt being a trashy drunk myself. It fit the theme.

While the cost was budget friendly, this property has fallen into disrepair. There was no security lock on the door. There did not seem to be any maid service, the only amenities provided were shampoo (in a dispenser) and soap. My room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator. There was a very stale cigarette odor that permeated everything. Even my clean clothing had to be laundered. The TV was OK and the bedding rather standard- nothing special. It was a place to sleep and shower if that's all you need.

If the pictures were scratch and sniff you would never stay here. The property is run down and not a lot of care taken to cleaning it. Front desk staff was polite and did the best they could but you cant make up for a place that is covered in dust and smells like despair. The grout was caked with who knows what materials all over and every metal surface had rust.

This place was very dirty. Only the bed sheets and linens were clean. The hairdryer was broken, the shampoo was empty. The floors and furniture were dirty. I would NOT stay there again ever.

While the shower enclosure looked updated, and the bed sheets and pillows were nice, the rest of the room needed an update. Wooden floor looked nice but could have been cleaner/mopped. Walls were marked, powerstrip was hanging from a nest of wires behind the Microwave/Fridge. Door had gaps in frame where you could see light from outside.

Stay Next Door at the Holiday Inn
There is a brand new Holiday Inn next door, stay there. This place is old and dirty. The views are compromised by the brand new Holiday Inn next door, stay there instead, I would have if I knew it existed.

It was ok. What set me off was how my card kept getting zeroed out. Had to keep going down to the lobby. Once it happened at 3am when I was having a smoke. Luckily next door was available. Otherwise I was trapped outside all night. For a woman it’s extra terrifying. That issue is the sole reason why I won’t stay here again. The room was ok. Nothing like the pics. But the location/views made it less bad.

I feel unsafe all the time. The building needs multiple improvements. The personnel at counter were kind and gave us an upgrade, but the place was even not good. The pictures that they show at Expedia are old, do not show the actual reality of the motel.
