Great place close to Center City.
We had a very good experience. Great location with lots of restaurants and historical landmarks within walking distance. The beds in the two bedrooms were very comfortable. The only issue we had with the unit itself is that the futon couches did not make for comfortable sleeping, and noise from the street was at times quite loud. Just bring ear plugs. Host company was very responsive.

Apartment was not clean, trash and debris in the sofa bed, bathroom cabinets, kitchen oven was dirty, beds were uncomfortable and old, apartment smelled as though it had not been opened in months, per hair on the comforters

The property was nice, fairly clean and the customer service for Pelican was exceptional. This looks like an older building that has been renovated to look pretty nice. The area around the property looked sketchy but I did not feel unsafe since there was a lot going on and people were mostly always around. It's just very inner city vibes that's all. There was a leak in the apartment from the air conditioning so I placed a jar to catch the water but obviously this has caused a permanent mildew smell in the apartment that is very prominent when you first walk in. I guess they'll get to it soon. I also had to find and fold towels since they were in the dryer but that wasn't an issue since I knew they had been cleaned. Walls are very thin so you will hear outside noise but that's to be expected in some older apartments. Overall it was close to everything we had planned and a great spot for the 2 days but parking is expensive. Best to Uber/Lyft.

I would absolutely stay here again if we had plans to return to Philly. This was the perfect place for our family of 5 a small dog. Perfect location and quiet, clean apartment. We parked our car at a lot just around the corner at an additional cost, but was convenient & easy. Furniture wasn't super comfy, but it was clean and had everything we needed and more. Outstanding location.

The apartment and building itself was great. Dealing with the company, on the other hand, was horrendous. They overcharged me and came back with several different fees they said were added to it. Even after that, their math was still wrong. I was on the phone for nearly an hour trying to get them to fix it. They also charge a 3.5% credit card fee that is listed only in fine print somewhere on the receipt in addition to the cleaning fee and resort fee that I didn’t see until after booking.

pagare 115 dollari per supplemento pulizia e trovare l'appartamento in quelle condizioni è uno scandalo. Le asciugamani e le lenzuola erano impresentabili : sporche e piene di peli. Abbiamo dovuto lavare tutto con difficoltà perchè asciugatrice non funzionava in maniera corretta. la moquette di una stanza presentava delle criticità ricoperte da un tappeto aria condizionata quando siamo entrati in appartamento non funzionava ed è stata sistemata solo in serata . peccato perchè appartamento è comodo ed in posizione centrale assente di gestione una vergogna chiedo la restituzione dei 115 dollari pagati per un servizio inesistente

We rented this in the summer and the air conditioning was a bit inconsistent between the bedrooms and the common quarters. However, overall it suited us (2 families) well and was in a decent location to get to a lot of good restaurants and attractions.

In unit 303, the sofa and love seat were in such poor condition that when you sat down, you sank inches and felt the underlyinf metal in your butt...despite sitting on top of multiplebed pillows. Even the dining room chairs were too uncomfortable to sit on. The only comfortable place to sit was on the toilet. Both beds were sofa beds with thin mattresses miserable to sleep on. My back remained in spasm throughout my stay. No Kleenex could be found anywhere. Will not stay there again.

So glad we stayed here
The apt itself was really nice. Plenty of space for my son and I to share it and not be on top of each other. Really liked having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The location had plenty of places to eat and shop nearby (lots of great outlets just a few doors away). We ran into a few panhandlers on Chestnut Street and if you walk toward 23rd street, you get into a rougher part of town, so just be mindful when and where you are walking. Rittenhaur Park is about 3 blocks away and a super cool section. FYI- Target and CVS and several little food shops are very close, so having a kitchen for breakfasts was great...and easy.

The apartment was excellent!
The big problem is finding the appartment. The building is not actually called Pelican Appartments, but located in another appartment buiding. So providing the right address with street number would be highly appreciated and would have saved us at least an hour of asking, phoning and seeking. Luckily we arrived at daytime, late at night we would have never been able to find the appartment!

Negatives: It was incorrect that this property was adequate for 5 people. The "sleeper sofas" were not usable (uncomfortable!! and fragile) and also there was no blanket or quilt for the 5th person. We had to rent another room elsewhere to accommodate our 5th person. 38 liters of hot water is ridiculous for a two bedroom apartment (4+ person). Also there was no fan in the bathroom and the ventilation to the bedrooms was minimal (through an open door). Positive: clean and great location with friendly doormen. Decent set of dishes and kitchen appliances. The beds were reasonable comfortable with nice starter toiletries. This apartment would be ok for 3-4 people who don't care about daily showers.

Modern, clean, spacious apt in the heart of Philly
Excellent stay in the Pelican Furnished Apartments for a week for a business trip. The location is 2nd to none, downtown and within easy walking distance of bars, restaurants, tourist sites. The apartment itself was spacious, well fitted out and quiet. Only improvement I can think of would be to consider installing blackout curtains in the bedrooms, the current blinds were not the best for keeping the light out. Overall highly recommend and I plan to stay here again the next time I'm in Philly.

dirty with bait and switch fees
With the extra fees they add another $276 on to your final bill. There place was nice but not clean. Found melted ice cream in the freezer. candy wrappers in the bed and there was trash underneath the bed and the couches. Not worth it for this price. Quoted at $954.05 final cost over 1100!

Exceptional!
Our stay at the Pelican fully furnished apartment was exceptional. The apartment was nicely furnished, spotless and the service beyond reproach. It is located in an ideal place with plenty of shops and restaurants!

Makeshift apartment
The second bedroom was bordered by walls on three sides. There was one small table and lamp in the room,the only light source since there were no outside windows in the room. There were no wall decorations or mirror in the room. Neither bedroom provided for unpacking a suitcase. There were no dressers, luggage racks or shelving in the closets. The closet floors were the only place to put one small suitcase. Additional suitcases had to be put in the hall. In the master bedroom the bed was so close to the corner of the wall, it was impossible to walk around the bed. A closet door handle was missing from one of the doors. The bedside tables didn't match! The sitting area lacked any kind of comfort. We had to use the pillows from our beds in order to sit on them. They were very hard and not a good choice. No face cloths or kitchen towels of any kind, paper or cloth, were provided. The dishwasher had not been emptied and sheets were in the dryer. I expect to find exposed duct work in aloft or warehouse apartment--not in an apartment such as this. Based on the bedroom photos I provided, you can see there is no way this unit could have up to 5-6 people Not having someone on site to address concerns and the instructions not to ask the person at the front desk for anything make this a very unwelcoming place to stay.

If you'd just called us during the stay we would have resolved it then itself for you. We didn't receive any complaint from you while you were staying with us. Large, but a bit run down
The flat is large, but it is not well maintained. The beds are somewhat lumpy and the blinds are broken and let the light in. The air condition unit is exposed and very loud.
