Nice Boutique Hotel in central Phnom Penh area, walking distance and accessible to various eateries; great location. Hotel staff were very kind, greeting us every moment when eye contact was made. General manager was always around, to ensure any questions or concerns were dealt with.
Room was fairly clean, but not necessarily to our expectations. Moldy areas found in the sink, which was not pleasant, and a brown stain found inside the comforter. This showed lack of attention to detail. The TV was also small, and placed in an odd area, so we could not even watch from the bed nor the lounge chairs. Hair dryer cord was so short, my wife had to stand near the wall plug, so eventually she gave up as the setup was too inconvenient. The staff were also inconsistent in turning over our room in the evening. Half the days the rooms were done, and the other days the rooms were not. The inconsistency of this service was questionable. Nonetheless, the shower was nice, slept well as the bed was comfortable, and minibar (drinks only) were free.
The walls were also quite thin, such that you can hear the neighbours showering and using the toilets. One of the mornings, we woke up to a guy hawking out his phlegm. It was quite unpleasant to wake up to.
For breakfast, we were given a checklist, but they rarely followed it. Hence, they often got our order wrong. For example, my wife asked for 11-minute boiled eggs, but the yolk was still not fully cooked. We checked off the homemade papaya ja
