We had no idea the property was being renovated. Despite that, elevator, hallways, walls, etc were GROSS. In our room, the bed was lumpy & horrible, there was a hole cut in the wall with open wiring, room lock had been taken off, & there was limited amenities. Breakfast was stale bagels (cream cheese was “out”) & cups of cereal. Milk was warm - so awful. We should get our money back

Hotel Scottsdale worked well for our group coming into town for a golf trip. Rooms were spacious and clean. The updates to the entire space will be great

Yes the place is under renovation but if all the complainers on these reviews had taken the time to read these before booking they would have known this. The managers very accommodating and the place is in a great location walking distance to a couple restaurants and a couple minutes from old town Scottsdale via the local golf cart transport companies. I will stay there again next AZ bike week!

I phoned the reservation desk before I booked and specifically asked if renovations were completed, I was told yes everything was done. The whole hotel is currently under renovations and work was going on outside our room in the morning while we were trying to sleep. The breakfast area did not have tables or chairs available due to the renovations. Breakfast was very limited. Hallway carpets were pretty dirty

I understand there’s construction going on but it was too dirty for me. Breathing in paint/dust from the moment walking into the lobby all the way to my room. If there was a notice of construction I would’ve definitely booked somewhere else. The room was a mess it was not vacuumed. There was hair all over the bathroom floor and tub.

Before arriving to the property I had read some reviews first, was expecting the place to be under construction but had called ahead to be sure the pool was still open. Pool was still open, they offered to let us see a room. First floor was under construction in the lobby area. The room they let us go see was nice on the 1st floor, then when we agreed to stay they gave us a room on the 3rd floor, completely different look from the 1st floor and our room smelled like paint plus other funky smells, the countertops were dirty with left over candy/brown stuff everywhere. We went back to the office and asked if we could get the room they let us see in the first place. Which they did..... They did not have much for breakfast. AND we booked for 2 nights, a man a lady came into our room around 1pm-ish on the second day, they just knocked twice and my husband was still walking on his way to the door and they just barged into our room, then said they need to check the A/C, temperature, walked all the way in the room across to the window. ?? My son and I were laying in bed. I felt like that was very inappropriate and rude. I don't think I'll be staying here again.

My card key didn’t worked, elevator was out of service so I had to carry up and down my bags. Continental Breakfast was horrible! And to add more, they charged me my room again after it was already paid through Expedia. I had to called my bank to dispute transaction because I called the hotel and they told me to wait 10 days and they’ll reverse it but they never did!

After reviewing your reservation, I believe the charge on your card you're referring to is the security deposit. They are refunded at checkout, though the amount of time it takes to post back varies depending on the bank.

This property should not be open during the current renovation. It is extremely loud and dusty as all could be. Staff was nice but not super helpful considering they are alone at the front makeshift check in desk and unable to bring you towels etc. Which is not safe. Room was clean but did smell like strong paint. Bathroom door is really large which gave no room to open and close the door resulting in my fiancé to lose a toenail. When my fiancé went down stairs to ask for a bandaid they told him they didnt have a first aid kit and they couldn't help him. All around not a great experience. Wouldnt recommend staying here until the place is complete and done with construction and then some..

Hotel is being remodel so there’s a lot of construction conditions around. Management is nice and plenty of places around for breakfast and hangout in the late evening. If you want a clean and safe place to crash, it’s perfect. If you are looking for a regular business/vacation hotel keep browsing.

Just FYI, as of March 2024, this is an older hotel that is being actively remodeled. The lobby, breakfast area, etc are basically non-existent as they are being worked on. There will be construction noises during daylight hours That being said, the staff was great, the remodeled rooms are very nice, The location is right in Old Town Scottsdale so the restaurants / civic center are all walkable. it will just be a little longer before the property is complete.

Very quiet area but close enough to walk to the action. Its being renovated so no onsite lobby or eating areas but once renovated, it looks like it will be nice! Big rooms too and for families there are connecting rooms. You can walk to Old Town and shop, eat, and drink away! And plenty of parking which was free. The staff was very nice even though their current workspace wasnt very comfortable. Safe place and i would recommend for families, couples, or even a single traveler.

The property was under construction and was not informed. Front desk check in area was make shift with tables, no covering to make it look nice. Continental breakfast was below average. When we were getting ready to leave, the elevator broke down so we had to carry our luggage down steps. Not as expected especially at the price per night. Extremely disappointed.

Worse decision to stay here. Checked in around 10pm. They are doing construction at the hotel, that wasn’t the issue. I asked about parking, the person that checked me just had me write down the type of car I was driving and said I can park anywhere. The next morning my rental car was gone. I asked the girl at makeshift lobby, she didn’t care, all she said was oh you can’t park there the dental office in the same parking lot probably had it towed. I asked the girl if she could watch my stuff while I try to call around to figure out where the car went. I walked outside because of the construction noise. I go back in she is no where to be found and my stuff is just sitting in the lobby.

When booking for this property it was never stated they were under renovation. The property renovations were loud and renovation material on the floor. The bed sheets smelled as if they had not been washed. Throughout the night you could hear the noises of guest coming and leaving rooms and the floor creaking from the upper floors. Unfortunately, we could not find another hotel to stay in and we had to remain there.

This property is under construction. We had to re-key the room almost every time due to the dust they said. The bathroom door did not stay shut, there was unfinished electrical in the bathroom and no trash cans. The bedding was wrinkled as if to much was shoved in a washer. However, the staff was wonderful and the location to attend the Spring Training for the Giants and old town Scottsdale is perfect. We would stay there again.

The hotel was undergoing major renovation. It was a major inconvenience. The rooms were dirty. The linens were dirty. Zero effort on the part of the staff to make the stay more enjoyable. Very unhappy.

The best part of this property was the staff. Very helpful and apologetic for the mess because the place is being renovated. It was noisy because of the renovations. The room we stayed in needed new beds - beds were so soft that it was not uncomfortable to sleep. My roommate slept the sofa bed and again, the mattress was not comfortable. Pool was indoors. Would be nice to have an outside pool or even lounge area.

If not for the location, I would not recommend this hotel at this time. Hotel is going through renovations, areas of the common area was not clean, staff seems a bit overwhelmed, house cleaning was below average.

The property was under construction and was not aware of that when we did the booking however, the night staff was very kind and helpful and look forward to seeing the hotel when renovation is all done
