Property is in desperate need of maintenance and upgrades, the bathtub was rusted, the towels are old and shredded. Will not stay here again

This is a hard-to-believe story. I PRE-PAID for a two night stay, Fri-Sun, 3/22-3/25/2024. We knew we’d be a late arrival so my girlfriend called to advise the hotel of our plans. She spoke with manager Kamesh (sp?) and were assured that it would not be an issue. So when I arrived Saturday afternoon to check-in, I was told that I was considered a NO-SHOW, the room was no longer available and they had No Vacancies. Also told I was charged for the first night but that they would refund the cost of the second night. Shocked (and a little pissed) I got on the phone with Manager Kamesh to “remind” him of the call we had with him and all he could say was that he didn’t “remember” any such conversation. Now we’ve all messed-up from time to time but it just really got my goat that this “Manager” wasn’t man enough to admit his mistake. Plus I had to walk to the hotel down the road as I was fortunate that they had an available room for us. And of course, no offer from the hotel to get an Uber for us.

Not a good stay
Staff was friendly, but when we got to our room, the key did not work. Had to change. Rooms sink was leaking on the floor. The TV did not work. We did not have a good experience at this best Western hotel.

Rooms are small. Cleaning crew is not very friendly or helpful. I spilled some food entering and they just watched me clean up. Didn’t offer help or cleaning materials Pretty costly for 5 days.

Way overpriced for what we got (2 rooms, 2 nights) Just the facts: - not safe for elderly/handicapped: getting in and out of the tub (to shower) was treacherous, because there was no handrail outside. - asked for but could not get hot water for tea at the "breakfast." - linens, towels not changed for second day. "You should have asked." Couldn't they have told us? We don't expect a lot from a Best Western, but this one was a real disappointment.

Thin walls, mediocre breakfast, no help
Stayed here recently with my family. Bar was pretty low, just looking fora place to crash for a sport tournament. Low bar was not met on several pretty basic fronts. In the room next door, loud party was going on. Even when they quieted down a bit at the urging of the night staff (after we put in several calls and got no sleep until ~1:30), the wall was vibrating from the TV still being on. We were moved to another room, but the next morning awakened early by a different family moving about (they weren't being particularly loud- just normal stuff, but walls were so thin we were woken up). Breakfast was limited and not particularly appetizing (even for a BW). Several doors, interior and exterior, were out of order. When we tried to talk to the staff about these things, they weren't helpful. Location not great for interacting with town without driving. Night staff tried to help, but didn't seem to have the support from management on what to do. If we head back there for another tournament, definitely will stay elsewhere.

Ugh.
The room smelled like old smoke. The two nights we stayed, both nights our sleep was interrupted by other guests screaming profanities in the hallway. When we told the front desk of the chaos during the night she just blew us off. It would be nice to have some fresh fruit for breakfast.

I over slept to somebody pounding on my door and when I said “yes” the voice outside the door yelled you guys are late for check out. I was by myself first of all. Secondly I said ok and packed my bags and sighing 5 minutes he was pounding My door agin and yelling so I opened the door and the man was inches from my face yelling me he pounding on my door for 5 minutes. Not true. I packed as quickly I could. While he was yelling he was in the doorway blocking my exit and he was so close to my I asked if he was going lay a hand on. I’m sorry over slept and left the hotel 20 minutes late and was charged $100 late check out fee. As I was leaving the man said I could never stay at any hotel In Brentwood. Not only will I not stay at that best western but also any other BW nationwide. He could merely have called my room.

Disappointing Jets
The Jets which were the main reason why I wanted that room, were scaly and brown and had hair on them and then the dispensary for the shower items had hair and it was hair all over the shower. In the morning the breakfast which was part of the stay had coffee offered but it was already cold and pretty much empty. I came back an hour to see if they had refilled it they had not.

Property was dirty all around. Pool was disgusting. Nothing worked. Breakfast was bad and milk was spoiled. For over $200 a night you think you would get better service

Pros: good breakfast, easy parking, friendly staff, comfy beds Cons: unfortunately the room smelled so bad that we were very uncomfortable. The air conditioning unit blew out a very musty, mildew smell that made us gag whenever we walked in the room. We did open the Window but it only opened a few inches so it didn’t help much. We stayed on a holiday weekend and there was only one person working the desk and sometimes there was no one there. We were never able to get through to the front desk using the phone, it always gave a busy signal. The property needs updating, the carpets were dingy and not vacuumed. The pool (a must for the kids!) was not very clean/full of bugs so they didn’t want to stay in very long.

The elevator and exit doors are not functioning. I felt that’s a bad fire code violation since the second floor exit door was stuck and not opening. The elevator only goes up but is not accessible for the second floor so we struggled with our luggage’s and other things. Difficult to transport. But the staff was very professional and friendly.
