Everything was flawless - service, location, uniqueness, cleanliness, etc. Dimitar couldn’t be more attentive and kind. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

I’d travel to Plovdiv just to stay here!
The most spectacular stay ever. At arrival, we were met at the door by name. At check-in the owner, unsolicited, pulled out a map and showed us great sites to see, great restaurants to try, and the best routes to get there navigating the cobblestone streets in the dark. The whole building is exquisitely restored and painted in historical and traditional design. The room was very clean and fitted with mint condition antique furnishings. The bathroom was the only thing modern and it was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was homemade Bulgarian and was the best we had in our visit to the country. I cannot say enough. This place made me feel at home.

Amazing property at a great location. Superb!
This was a great properly and overall amazing experience. The owner displayed absolute superior customer service and was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We had a great time and would recommend the place to all of our friends.

Cozy small hotel. Run by owner who does an excellent job in keeping guests comfortable. Home made breakfast was excellent. Right at the border with old town.

Great small hotel in Plovdiv
Had a great stay at Family Hotel At Renaissance Square. Nice and clean room and perfect location with walking distance to the old city and to the pedestrian zone. The host is super nice, helpful and made a great breakfast for us. He even helped us get to the train in time. Recommended with all my heart!

Mitko is a great host! He takes pride in the work he's done with the beautiful house and would go to lengths to make your stay comfortable and convenient. We highly recommend it and can't wait to go back for a longer stay.

This hotel is just minutes way from the entrance to the old town, and also walking distance to the shopping/restaurant district. The owner (Dimitar) is extremely helpful and friendly, and speaks near-perfect English (he lived in the US). There is a parking right in front of the hotel, which is a plus near the old town. It's a great value for the money.

Skønt lille hotel i den gamle bydel.
Dejligt hotel i gåafstand til både den gamle og nye bydel. Pænt og rent værelse med aircondition. Rummeligt badeværelse. Dejlig individuel tilberedt morgenmad. Meget venlig vært med stor viden om byen og gode tips til spisesteder og seværdigheder. Vil helt sikkert bo her igen når jeg kommer til Plovdiv igen.

Great service and location!
The hotel has a wonderful location and the service was great. If you have a bad back I would recommend a different hotel as the mattresses are a little hard. Other than that our stay was really amazing!

Petit hôtel très agréable
Juste au pied de la vieille ville, petit hôtel de 5 chambres très agréable et très bien situé. Le propriétaire est très accueillant et aide beaucoup pour organiser au mieux son séjour à Plovdiv. Vivement recommandé !

bel hôtel de charme dans la vieille ville
hôtel mentionné 4 étoiles où nous avions 2 chambres. L'une d'elle avait vue sur une ruelle, c'était sombre mais calme; la décoration y était moins jolie que l'autre et la douche était digne d'un banal 2 étoiles. Par contre de beaux salons, une entrée seigneuriale. Pt déjeuner effet bien. Petit parking mais arriver tôt pour avoir 1 place. De là, on va à la piazza Del Popolo en 2 mn à pied et tout se visite à pied de puis cet hôtel. Je ne regrette pas ce choix. Tarif raisonnable

Wonderful hotel and host
Small hotel centrally located near old town Plovdiv. Everything is in walking distance. The host speaks good English and is extremely friendly and very helpful for anything to do in the city.

Excellent experience
This hotel begins with ease in arrival plus the value of being in old town. Parking is convenient. Staff are outstanding in offering easy, valuable city guidance. The room is sparkling clean and breakfast is delicious with genuine local flavour.

A gem of a place
Very friendly and helpful hotel staff. He went the extra mile to help us with all travel arrangements. The hotel is also in an excellent location, right on the edge of the old town. Be sure to ask them to email you directions in advance as no taxi driver at the bus station seemed to know where the address was, and we ended up calling the hotel and asking them to speak to a taxi driver who was willing to wait and help us.

Beautiful character property with friendly helper
This hotel is outstanding with an ideal location on the edge of the pedestrianised heart of Plovdiv. This is a beautifully decorated old building with modern bathroom facilities. We loved our room. The owner is most welcoming and helpful. He provided us with a map and useful information when we arrived. Breakfast was very good. We could park right outside.

Hotel owner couldn't have been more helpful, from helping with luggage, going through maps of the area, booking restaurants, giving information and places to see outside of Plovdiv to cooking a beautiful traditional breakfast! Couldn't recommend the hotel more.

Exceeded My Expectations
This small hotel has five rooms, which insures that Demater, the owner, gives everyone his undivided attention. He speaks fluent English, having spent two years in Atlanta, and when you check in he explains everything in detail, including wifi, local restaurants, best routes for sightseeing, etc. Breakfast is tasty and so satisfying that you may find it lasts almost until dinner, or at least until tea time. My room was quiet and comfortable, and the in-room TV picks up at least one English-language news station. Plovdiv should be on the itineray of anyone visiting Bulgaria. Its Roman amphitheatre is among the best preserved Roman ruins in Europe, while its narrow cobbled streets in Old Town evoke the long years of Ottoman occupation of Bulgaria. Just down the hill, there is the newer town which is filled with restaurants and shops and where crowds gather on weekends to make it lively and great for people watching. I hope to return to Plovdiv, and when I do I'll book my room at Renaissance.

Dimitar was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel was probably the cleanest I have ever stayed in!!
