The hotel was lovely, perfect views, the design was great. However, overall the hotel did not meet 5 star standards, and we honestly had much better food and service at most of the 4 star hotels we stayed at.
The coffee was not good, the breakfast food was meh, the bar food was mediocre. The rooms were good but the shower was definitely not 5star.
The staff also had a lot of rules - you could only eat certain foods in certain areas, the concierge couldn't book the spa, the towels for the pool are only at the front desk. Just made the stay feel a bit more clunky than it needed too.
Also, a note that we were here in off-season, and the hotel had this eerie truman-show vibe.
The hiking trails around the hotel are amazing.
