We stayed in Villa 43 and it was perfect. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, covered parking, laundry and two outdoor sitting areas. The pool area is absolutely incredible. We arrived after reception closed but we just called the number uding the phone on the wall and they gave us the code to the lock box that had an envelope with our keys and all the resort information. I will definitely stay here again.

I thought the facilities and staff were great but the the viilla we stayed in was a little run down. It needed fly screens on the window and sliding doors. We really couldn't use the back ofviur villa at all.

Nice apartment units
The property was good, the unit comfortable and spacious. Only issues were that the location isn't the best with respect to Port Douglas, and the restaurant was never open when we needed it.

The townhouse is perfect for a family who loves space and have everything at hand. Great location and quietness. Amazing pool! We did visit some other hotels with pools around but this was definitely the best. In all honesty, the place needs light renovation as it's a bit worn off but definitely livable. Not 4 stars though- 3.5 max. It would be nice is the restaurant would be open more than one day per week. Overall, extremely positive experience!

The pool was lovely, especially for our son. We had arrived by shuttle from the airport, arranged by The Reef. A frightening experience with the driver tailgating and driving way too fast. SR transport. Never again! The apartment was spacious, but dark and gloomy. The outdoor seating was useless as it just faced other accommodations. I’d describe the decor as “tired”. The restaurant was barely open and as we had no transport this made our dining options limited. The closest food outlet was a fish and chips 1km away. This place lacked atmosphere, was too far from town for the car less. Shuttle cost $7 each one way into town, which equated to over $50 NZ every time we left the resort (return trip for 3) Would we stay here again? Never

We had a lovely return stay at the Reef Resort; we stayed four years ago and were pleased to note that the quality was the same as our previous visit. The accommodation was great for a family, with two upstairs rooms containing a double and 2 single beds, and a neat family room downstairs. Air-conditioning was effective in both bedrooms and the shared area downstairs. The kitchen was well-stocked, with hotplates and a convection microwave available. Only a short walk away a large shared pool can be accessed, with multiple depths providing great play opportunities for all ages. The reception area and cafe fronts the pool with great poolside snacks and tasty lunch and dinner options. The staff were always friendly and helpful every time we spoke to them!

We loved our stay. The apartment was really clean and had everything you needed. The pool was amazing. Not too busy. Port Douglas is tropical paradise. I would try and get one of the apartments near the pools though

Staff were fantastic, when they were there food was great when it was open. The villa we stayed at had dead flies everywhere. We swept up about 20 a day. Shower was dirty our toddler couldnt go on the ground as he would pick up dead flies. We checked out early and ended up having to spend more money on another place. Emailed them with no response.

The beds were comfortable, linen and towels clean, villa was very grubby looking, needed painting and moderising, kitchen quite poorly equipped, all very tired, and second bathroom was on ground floor away from bedroom. Staff were very friendly, pool area was lovely, was 45 min walk to shops/Restaurants. Apparently was a shuttle bus available. All in all enjoyed my holiday.

Pool area is excellent and cafe/restaurant area simple but pleasant. Room we were in was very tired, close to the main road and in between 2 owned apartments who were partying at night and left beer cans across the front garden of our unit. Reef resort Seems reasonable enough for the price due to the really nice pool but check where you are on the property and who the neighbours are first.

Great pool for kids and family friendly. Fan was pretty noisy and needs looking at, but other than that, really good place to stay that's a short drive to central shops :)

We enjoyed our time at this resort. We stayed in a mid-range villa which was well appointed and spacious. 1 bathroom and bedroom for each couple. There are some Cafes and local shops close by. We enjoyed the heated main pool and sundeck. Staff were friendly. The Main Port Douglas street was a short drive. Great winter destination. The only slight negative the internet seems to be patchy in Port Douglas. Our room came with a 2gb daily limit

Nice and roomy apartment, although dated. Some apartments are privately owned and not managed by the resort itself. Facilities (dishwasher, washer, dryer and air conditioners) in our apartment needs updating. The pool is great for kids to spend time in. The resort is located about 3 kms from Macrossan street and the restaurant strip, but very easy to get to. Four mile beach is half a kilometre walk away.

The pools were fantastic! There was no playground for the kids but was stated on the website there was. The villas are a lot older than what the photos portray, and could do with some upgrading. Overall, we had a good stay, we loved the pool area and the rooms were clean and tidy.

Great stay with the kids. Communication was really good and staff very friendly. We loved the extra space the three bedroom allowed for and would go back. Kids also really liked the pool.

Lovely little resort for the family. Not to far from the main street so easy to get to everything. Ad describes a place to eat at the venue however this was not the case. the pool was amazing!

Check-in, Check-out everything was smooth even not asked to show credit card for deposit. Our stay was no problem at all. Only restaurant was closed so we could not eat breakfast there that was disappointing, but overall we enjoyed well wish we could stay longer!
