Great value for money. Very quiet at night and the room was very dark so it was easy to get a good night's sleep. Reasonably well located for access to city centre and surrounds. Food was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Rooms were a bit shabby but acceptable for the price.

Shower & curtain were mouldy. Room in general was clean & it was great that at around 10pm the place was quiet. Food at the pub was great.

Staff were very helpful. The meal at dinner was excellent. Actual accomodation was very ordinary & old, but beds were very comfortable. Very reasonable price per night.

We were very disappointed as did they not send us a message with locked box details regarding check in as they had promised. The property did not answer our 4 phone calls. At 8 pm we contacted Wotif who gave us excellent service and the Wotif Manager contacted the property directly and organised access to the room. The communication from Settlers Inn to customers needs to be improved to avoid this issue.

Probably the most rundown motel i have stayed at via Hotels.com. The room looked old and tired. the stairwell leading to the rooms was NOT lit with any lights in the key places and two people almost ended up head over heels. there was NOT a single chair in the room and we were a group of four. The small car park was difficult to negotiate. it is obvious that the motel section plays second fiddle to the bistro.

It was the only available option for us to have a rest on our way home (busy christmas time). The manager was amazing, but the room and the hotel are very old, dated and dirty. One of those place where you try not to touch anything.

Needs a total renovation. And good clean.
This is a hotel. It’s 2 star. Nothing to write home about. The balcony was filled with an ashtray. The leaves had not been cleaned for at least 2 weeks. Cobwebs in the corners and in dire need of renovations. For what I paid o would have been better off in a backpackers.

Mouldy shower roof and dirty floor. Carpets not vacuumed. Putrid exterior near stairs and room access. Very noisy also

Great staff and meals were great. Bed could do with a mattress topper a bit too firm for me. Curtains would have kept it a bit darker for sleeping. More than happy with our stay.

There’s no designated reception, but not only that you have to go into a busy pub and find someone to help you. Because it’s a busy pub it’s quite noisy even in the rooms furthest away from the pub area. It’s basic and fairly run down. The shower head didn’t stay up by itself and we had to Macgyver it to stay up. The fridge was set so cold it froze everything in it. It’s very minimally stocked, eg we had booked for a family of 4 but were given 4 cups and 2 bamboo teaspoons. However the beds were comfy enough and once the pub closed at 10pm-ish and in the morning it was quiet. I probably wouldn’t stay here again, but if it was a quiet season and it was cheap enough it’s fine for a night if you’re just looking for a spot to sleep.

Check in was a bit confusing. Online it said we would get lock box info sent to me, but we still hadn’t received it on arrival. Had to get keys from the bar which was really busy. Finding accommodation entrance was not obvious. Bed covers and carpet were stained. Air conditioning unit was jammed. but otherwise room was sound.

The accommodation is upstairs and at night, the lighting was limited. The facilities did not have the verandah being swept and there was no light on the verandah. The bathroom was clean but the fixtures were lacking. The staff who were taking care of the booking were not as warm and welcoming, treating the accommodation like a transaction unlike someone from a motel.

Very basic accommodation. Microwave but no utensils and only 1 glass and 1 spoon. Boasts a balcony but no view and covered in leaves. Pub food available in child friendly facility. No breakfast available. Would only recommend for backpackers

Large room with ensuite and kitchenette. Air con and comfie beds. Hot water was AMAZING and surprisingly quiet. Will stay again!

There was no soundproofing between our room and the adjoining, couldn't get any sleep with the people in the next room watching tv.

Staff were helpful and friendly . The room was good. Air conditioning good. WiFi was good - which is a big plus for us. Located with an convenient entry to pub and Bistro was excellent. Everything was pleasant

I would never stay here ever again. The room stunk of toilet disinfectant. The mattresses were disgusting. The other guests were totally disrespectful, loudly fighting and partying to 3 and 4 in the morning and management not doing a thing about it. It's not a family oriented hotel at all, more like an outdated pub. Would give this a minus 5 star rating.

Dissapointed.
Rooms need updating as very tired looking. Double bed was shockingly back as very worn and sagging. Staff extremely pleasant and bar very good as was the food.
