The Kendall Tavern Inn will be our go to each time we travel to Freeport. The owners are wonderful and very gracious and entertaining. I highly recommend the KTI.

great stay
This is in a great location - close to Acadia Park and Bar Harbor stores and restaurants. The breakfasts and snacks were really delicious. The staff was friendly and so helpful. The room was very comfortable.

Cozy getaway
We chose this place as a mid-week getaway and certainly felt welcomed. Close to the downtown but far enough away to have our own privacy. The upgrade from a Queen room to a King was an added bonus and the room was quite spacious. Lots of little perks that we didn't expect like coffee and tea anytime, warm cookies in the afternoon as well as a water filling station. Our hosts were very welcoming with lots of local knowledge and suggestions for dining and outdoor experiences which we took advantage of. Breakfast each day was unique and themed with local favorites which we appreciated. Would certainly make a return here.

Great stay! Mark and Nancy are da best!
We had an amazing stay at KTI. Mark and Nancy are excellent hosts and Nancy’s homemade breakfast treats are exceptional (the mini meyer lemon tarts made with lemons from Nancy’s lemon tree are out of this world!)

Kendall Tavern Inn is a real treat. The owners are wonderfully hospitable, the breakfasts are fantastic (apricot scones!). It is an old historic building with tons of charm located just outside downtown Freeport.

Unclear how to check in. There are too many doors, only one was correct. Need signs to the front door, and door bell doesn’t always work.

We loved this beautiful,old but restored home. The bedroom was nicely decorated with beautiful artwork. But the best part was the owners Nancy and Mark. Nancy cooked every breakfast. The menu was nicely written on a blackboard in the dining-room. In addition, she baked cookies and left them in a jar in the parlor for the guests. As for Mark, he was so much fun to listen to. He had so many stories to tell. Furthermore, he has a great sense of humor. My husband and I constantly had a smile on our face as we listened to his stories. We'd love to go back.

A must stay if in Freeport
Nancy and Mark are warm and welcoming and the staff is pleasant. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was amazing and filling! We will definitely be back.

Grrrrreat stay!:
Great stay! Super friendly hosts, easy check in, cool old house with nice touches, good shower, great mattress and quiet. Perfect location…we walked everywhere. Homemade cookies, coffee, tea and water available in common room. And breakfast was outstanding! Thank you Mark and Nancy…see you next year!

B&B was great! Freeport was a nice town. Lot's of things to do and see. Restuarants were struggling with service due to staffing issues.

Quite beautiful property, tastefully decorated, and made warm and welcoming by the attitudes of the proprietors. The cooking for breakfast was wonderful. This was the best breakfast that either of us ever had at a Bed & Breakfast. The price was a bargain for this part of Maine in the Summer time. Our stay was delightful - I would gladly go back in the future.

From Cleveland to Freeport!
For our first time staying at a Bed & Breakfast, it was a truly amazing experience from the moment we pulled up and greeted by Mark we knew we would be very well taken care of. Mark and Nancy took a personal interest in our family. They were both so kind. It was as if we were staying with long time friends. The breakfasts were incredible. We are definitely going back!

Mark was a knowledgeable and engaging host with spectacular hospitality and resourcefulness. Nancy's culinary creations were both a work of art and tasty! We were pleasantly surprised to have an e-charger on site for our electric car. We couldn't have asked for more!
