Perfect Oceanfront Retreat
I can't wait to visit here again. We had an oceanside room and it was amazing. The restaurant is solid which is good because there isn't a whole lot more around. There was an emergency situation when were there and they handled it expertly without interrupting the joy of our travel. I'm still missing the sound of the ocean with the windows open. Like I said at the beginning, I can't wait to go to the Tides again!

Amazing location on Goose Rocks Beach. They provide chairs, umbrellas, kayaks and SUPs for use at the beach. Pretty quiet room. Great design and fun artwork in the public spaces. Muffins and juice delivered to our room in the morning. Bikes available for guests. All made for a lovely stay.

The Inn is very quaint and the ambiance is very beach like. Full bar and dining room with great food and drinks. The front porch area provides a birds eye view of the beach.

My wife and I just got back from a 3 night stay at the Tides and were so disappointed. We spent $1,500 total for a king "coastal view room". Our room was a closet you could barely walk around in. The main window faced a side street and the side window had a tiniest view of the water in the distance you could imagine. There was a small crooked tv on the tiny dresser. The bathroom was whatever. The first night when trying to sleep, the AC was so dull and barley working, the room was a sweat box. I was up at 2 am with the remote standing in front of it trying everything to get it cooler. My wife was up about every half hour bc it was so hot- one of the worst nights sleeps we've had. The next AM, I talked to the manager not only about the AC but about how disappointed we were with our room, from what we were led to believe we would get. The manager did absolutely nothing. "Sorry I'll have someone look at the ac but that is a coastal view you can see the water can't you?" I'm paying you $500 a night to stay here and that's the response I get? Not even let me look into what I can do for you? Wow. The included breakfast was a lunch box dropped off every morning with an Uncrustable PBJ sandwich and an orange juice. The restaurant/bar were closed every night we were there. No staff to be seen after 7 pm. $500 a night for this? Never again. The location and Kennebunkport are beautiful but I will never go back to this hotel. Waste of money!

OK but not worth the money
Our stay at The Tides was fine, the location is great and they did a nice job with Covid related concerns. However, we went during the week and after Labor Day and spent $600+/per night on the room - definitely not worth that. I might feel differently if use spent half of that. The bathroom is tiny, no place to put your toiletries, no bathrobes or special amenities. I had mentioned ahead that we were celebrating a special occasion - not even a welcome note. The wall paper is peeling, carpets are stained, and AC unit was really loud. The view was beautiful (it’s right across the street from the beach) and the food at the restaurant was good.

Good mix of tranquility and activity. Secluded beach area. Large porch for relaxing and coffee/drinks. Lobby fireplace, cozy. Lots of walking and bike riding. Close to a quaint shopping area and eateries.

Perfect
This is a beautiful place set right across the street from the beach. It was a little late in the season but was so much more pleasant than the 100+ weather we fled from Texas. Service was great staff was friendly and professional and the room was perfect. I highly recommend this to couples that want exclusivity and refinement.

I love this Inn. It was our first stay here. We had a corner room with a direct view of the beach as well as a side view looking down the beach. The room was well appointed. The room did not have a closet, but instead an armoire dresser. It worked for us. There was shelving in the bathroom and hooks by the door so we had no problem with storage. We loved the convenience of the beach and all the amenities that were available there. One day we went to Hidden Pond to enjoy the pool, have lunch, and go to the spa. We liked the convenience of having the shuttle between the properties and the supper shuttle that was available each day to get to town or to some other restaurants. The Restaurant at the Tides was very good and we enjoyed happy hour and snacks at the bar. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I look forward to my next visit.

Loved quiet residential area location. Closeness to long beautiful beech, with soft sand, lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels . Casual relaxing lobby, bar, restaurant with excellent food. Staff that made us feel like important guests. Shuttle to sister resort in totally elegant wooded environment with access to all amenities at each resort. View and sound of the ocean from our third floor room. Can’t wait to go back!!!

A little gem...
My mom and I stayed at Tides Beach Club for Mothers Day weekend. It was also the opening weekend of 2019 summer season. We loved everything about this property, the location, the interior design, decor, food, and service. On our first night, they were having a little cocktail party for all the local people and guests to kick off the season and served delicious hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. It was a nice social gathering. For breakfast, we got to enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the Inn every morning and walk on Goose Rocks Beach. They also have several sister properties with excellent restaurants nearby. This is a romantic place designed for relaxation and slowing down from the daily hubbub and struggles.

Thank you for joining us over such a special weekend and helping us start our 2019 season off right! Can't agree more that the location we have is fantastic. The opening party is always fun and a great way for our guests to mingle with some of the local Goose Rocks Beach residents, they are a fun crowd. We take pride in our breakfast and think that we are at a good spot right now, I am pleased to hear you enjoyed it and then the walk on our lovely beach. The other hotels in our collection though slightly different from one another really complete the needs of anyone and everyone, for us the beach for others being close to town to the different decors. Thank you for spending the weekend with us and we hope to welcome you back in the future

Disappointed as the restaurant and lounge were off limits in the evening for a private party. When you book a premium hotel that advertises its key attributes online you expect to get access to them and not have to sit up in your room

Old building well modernized
Well located across the street from the ocean and in a calm bay at 7 miles from Kennebunkport. Great place to enjoy the sun and the beach. The hotel is decorated in a mix of modern in an old building. Great atmosphere. Food is delicious and the team is friendly.

Enjoyed our stay. Very nice rooms and location across from ocean great. Not close to downtown if that's what you want. Also, TV reception not good if you are a TV watcher. Little gift bag with water and cookies at checkout a very nice touch.

Had a great stay. Pricey but beautiful. Pretty large leak under the bathroom sink that soaked everything we had stored under it, space was limited. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends many family and we plan on a return visit.

Everything I'd imagined a Maine beach hotel to be
I wanted to move in and live at this hotel - they were all about taking care of the small details. We had a small room with amazing views onto the beach that totally made up for the size of the room, and we spent a lot of time relaxing on the porch rocking chairs watching the world go by. The hotel is across the road from the beach and the hotel has sun loungers and beach food service available to guests.

Exceeded. Our expectations
Great spot for a fall get away , we were greeted with a class of sparkling wine and an offer to help with bags, which was great because we were on the 3 rd floor. Room was large and very well appointed, although the bathroom was small the shower and linens were top of line. A filled ice bucket and bottled water was waiting in our room when we arrived. Dinner in the restaurant, was also excellent. Front porch was great for drinks,coffee and viewing the ocean. I would return anytime,but like the off season with less congestion. We also received a goody bag when we checked out ,filled with water and a snack for the trip home. Excellent spot.

Anniversary Weeked
My husband and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary the weekend of September 15th. This has been on my wish list ever since I stumbled upon it while going to the beach the summer before in Goose Rocks. Although we only stayed for one night, our experience there could not have been more perfect. From the minute we walked in, we were greeted with sparkling wine and kept getting better from there. The service was great. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and perfect in size. The decor is so beautiful in every way and there is nothing cookie cutter about this place whatsoever. The calming shades of sea glass blue and neutrals were a combination of South Beach meets New England. Very chic, but very comfortable and inviting. Also, they have a great bar and make wonderful drinks. Make sure to try the Bloody Mary. Beautifully presented in a Mason Jar with a lemon, like and some sour pickles that were to die for. Bottom line is that I felt like I died and went to heaven. Everything about The Tides Beach Club was sublime.

Fabulous hotel in a beautiful setting!
Fell in love with this hotel, the decor, the vibe, the location on Goose Rocks Beach, it was all nearly perfect. The only disappointment was that we could only get a room for one of the three nights we were in the area. Hope to go back again sometime!
