For the price, this place can't be beat. It's right off of the interstate, but still pretty quiet. Staff is super friendly, rooms are clean, and there are plenty of food options close by.

This place is a nice place to stay as the bed sheets are clean and the air conditioner works great. For the price, you can’t beat it. The staff is pleasant and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for travelers.

Lesser of two evils...
As soon as I got checked in, the guy chased me down to ask if I took the signed copy of my credit card receipt, because he couldn't find it. That's the first 30secs. You could tell the vinyl flooring in the room had been mopped. The soapy film was still on it making it very slippery since it was raining. The inside of the doors were absolutely filthy. The flimsy old furniture was stained with tears in the upholstery, missing hardware... just unsafe to use. The relatively new mattress was as hard as the concrete floor and I have never seen a flatter pillow in my life. We had to go back to the desk for toilet paper and a light bulb. And I hope you don't need to charge anything. There is only one available outlet. At least it was conveniently located and quiet. Still the better of the 2 motels in town.

Will stay again.
This is actually the second time we have stayed at the Stratton. The room was very clean and well kept. Bed linens were clean, bathroom was clean. Overall, our stay was very pleasant. Owner/Manager was very nice.

It was an older property but kept up well. The person checking us in was friendly and helpful. Our room was very cold on arrival but heated quickly. We weren’t at the hotel much so mostly just slept and left without checking out breakfast.

We got to our no smoking room and it reeked of bad weed. Normally when you get to a hotel they have the climate control set to a livable temperate already, but not this one. It was unbearable hot so we turned on the ac (which made a horrible noise) and left for about 2 hours to let it cool down. We got back and it was still a bit warm. We turned on the tv and there was 1 channel. We were never given a wifi password and could not connect to the internet. We’re getting annoyed and the ac unit shut off and would not come back on. We went to inspect the ac unit to see if we could turn it back on, but the room was very dimmly lit. I turned in the phone’s flashlight and was horrified. Stains and drippings all over the place. I don’t want to think about what was dripping off the night stand. Pretty sure there was dried blood on the back of the door. Hair in the tub. A cigarillo from the last guest on the desk. We didn’t check the bedding, we just left. This room was so obviously neglected there was no way the owners were unaware. I understand you get what you pay for but there are still bare minimum standards and this isn’t it.

Booked two rooms for one night. Arrived about 20 minutes early before one room was ready. Staff checked us in so we could get into the one room that was ready. He called us immediately when the second room was available. The next morning staff was friendly and accommodating.

Motel was nasty, stained carpet, stained walls, terrible beds not very comfortable, smelled like dirty socks in the room, rusty refrigerator and old picture tube TVs in the rooms. I won’t be back at the Stratton Inn again. Holes in the walls, the bathroom fan/light had a large black hole with the light dangling from. Worst room ever

Decent for quick night stay.
Place was clean and very quiet. Convenient to interstate. Loved that there was a mini fridge, microwave and big TV with nice channels.

Key to door would not work. So whenever we left then came back, we'd have to go get the check in lady. There was a streak of blood on the side of the shower.

Dirty room and needs renovation
This hotel had a good price but it was filthy and needs to be renovated. My family stayed there because it was in a great place to watch the solar eclipse. There was mold all over the shower head and a big food glob stuck to the wall, picture included. The door handle to the bathroom was barely hanging on and they gave me a smoking room when I reserved a non smoking room 10 months in advance. When I addressed these issues with the front desk, they said they would take care of them but never did. The only positives was the price, being close to the highway, and there was a good Italian restaurant on the other side of the highway.

At least it was clean
There are only 2 hotels in Princeton, KY, and this is the better of the two. However, this may be the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. The room had a weird, stale smell. It was clean and everything worked. Considering the price, it was ok.

A fairly nice, very reasonably priced motel
At first entry, I was put off by a pronounced musty smell in one room and considered asking for another, but after ten minutes of running the airconditioner, the smell disappeared. The rooms were clean and comfortable, everything worked. The staff were friendly and very helpful. A nice experience. Eclipse 2017

OK for our solar eclipse visit
overall this hotel is fine. We asked for a roll-away bed and the sheets on it were filthy (appeared someone had vomited on them). The mattress was deteriorating, extremely old and worn out. When told, the front desk replaced it immediately with one that was acceptable.
