Très bonnes vacances
Nous sommes restés 21 jours à Agualina nous étions dans un studio Rez de jardin donnant accès direct à la plage, de la terrasse belle vue sur la mer. La chambre est très propre, le personnel très aimable. Tout était très bien peut-être manquait il un peu d’ustensiles dans la cuisine comme une poêle... Dans l’ensemble très bon séjour.

Disgusting avoid at all costs. AC doesn't work, beds uncomfortable, sheets stained and scratchy, no water, loud appliances and air conditioner keeps shutting off/ loud, no phone

For the price paid it was alright. Staff was helpful when help was needed. Nice property, but some things were dated, toilet broke, staff fixed it, bedding was clean but sheets are old. Nice breakfast bar overlooking the beach.

Remote location but great for kite boarding.
Hotel is a bit remote. Broken chair on balcony. Fridge wouldn’t close firmly. Staff were great but checked after one night and moved to a hotel right in Cabarete.

All the rooms overlook the ocean with a balcony. Staff friendly and safe. Rooms are old and need to be updated. It felt dusty and not so clean even though the cleaning staff was very efficient.

We loved the great view from the balcony, very clean room and bathroom, equipped kitchenette, only missing a microwave. Very efficient and nice staff. We will go back soon.

Great location. Quiet and beautiful. Very safe. Amazing attentive kite staff!!! Very helpful people at the restaurant and kite shop. Excellent restaurant on premises. Good bed and great bathroom. Would have been great to have coffee in the rooms (or available before 8:30 am) and no smoking (it flows right from other balconies into the rooms).

Staying at Agualina through the years is always a pleasant experience, and the staff is as always cordial, wonderful, and responsive. But through the years it seems as though maintenance and upkeep of rooms and common areas are falling behind. I look forward to improving conditions of rooms and common areas by the owner, operator,management.

I love this little resort, the pool and the view was amaizing, the problem is that Between August and ends of September the beach has no shore, and is really hard to get into the beach and practice kitesurf or take a bath in the beach, but you can easily walk to the other side of beach

Beautiful and quiet
Place is excellent, quiet, beautiful view, there was no soap in bathroon (only liquid), but overall is a nice place to rest

Kite Beach Hotel
Kite Beach is a mile from downtown. The place to stay if you want to kite (plan to go downtown each night for dinner and drinks on town beach). All Agualina rooms have fantastic ocean views. It is a small hotel with few amenities, still this is our 3rd stay here and we will likely come back. (ask for a big 5gal bottle of water when you arrive)

Peace and quiet!
Puerto Plata can get loud especially at night. We stayed Sunday-Monday. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Overalls had a fun quick stay! We had the pool all to ourselves for two days. The beach was pretty empty. We had fun!

Kite surfers' paradise, tired room.
Location and view are great. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Price seemed high for what we got. Room lacked amentities; one tired towel per guest, only one hand towel for the bathroom, no face cloths. No soap to wash hands in bathroom so make sure you bring some with you. Served our needs for the few nights we were there.

Lovely resort in a great location
We spent four nights here and it was the perfect location. We had a ground floor apartment with two double beds, a lovely big bathroom and a balcony that looked out on the pool and sea. It is lovely being on Kite beach, a bit quieter than Cabarete but with some restaurants close by and it was a lovely 30 minute walk along the beach to get to the beach restaurants in Cabarete + we didn’t take a torch and felt perfectly safe.

Great Stay!
A newer, clean resort steps away form the beach. The AC is not adjustable but by the second day the room temperature was great. The staff is friendly, the WiFi worked well, and the resort is secured.

Tolles Hotel direkt am Strand
Mein Zimmer lag im zweiten Stock und hatte einen schönen Balkon mit Meerblick. Leider konnte ich nachts die Balkontüre nicht offen lassen, da das Fliegengitter Löcher hatte. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet, mit großem Kühlschrank, Safe und ein paar Küchenutensilien. Der Pool ist klein aber fein, einzig zu bemängeln sind die durchgelegenen Liegen, diese sollten dringend ersetzt werden! Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt und das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hat sich sofort um Probleme (tropfende Klimaanlage) gekümmert. Ich würde nächstes Mal definitiv wieder ins Agualina gehen!

It is ok. And it is near to bars and restaurants of caberete. Have space for parking, you may need car to go to cabarete.

Not what was expected. The staff during arrival was a bit rude and seemed upset when I asked for clean towels. I will definitely look for other options for my next stay.

Perfect place to be on kite beach.
The room was clean and well appointed. Gorgeous view. Staff was friendly. Pool looked great. We were on the 3rd floor which is not really a problem except hauling our gear up to the third floor was kind of a pain becasue ther is no elevator. I would definately stay here again and would recommend it to others

Great location
Agualina is in great location. Right on the beach. 15-20 min walk on beach to Cabarete for plenty of dining options. Property is well-maintained. Beds are not comfortable & the plumbing was questionable. On-site restaurant is good, but service (as most places in DR) is slow.

Really good for the price!!!
Me and my boyfriend are a young couple in our 30's and we were looking for a cheap place to stay that had certain amenities such as airconditioner, hot water, a clean room, a safe place and that was not too close to town in order to avoid party noises. This place was perfect, the rooms are of regular size, with air conditioner,a refrigerator, and the bedding was good. The hotel has a restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and happy hour. The best cappucino I've had in my life with almond milk. The only con I could find, was that they were a bit slow and not too efficient when it comes to the daily cleaning and change of bedding and towels, but overall the hotel was excellent and the people were very nice. Also the hotel has the beach right there, a few steps aways, and we could see the sea from our room. We also saw many Kites and kite surfers. I will definitely be coming back and definitely recommend it to a friend.

Hotel calme,belle vue,très bien placé pour le kite
1ère impression par rapport aux photos un peu décevante car mobilier vieillissant et piscine minuscule et verte (pas bleue comme sur les photos)....mais l'eau n'est pas trouble, donc on a fini par s'y baigner. Une fois installés, c'est beaucoup mieux. Petits déjeuners face à la mer sur la terrasse de l'appartement. L’hôtel donne directement sur la plage, pas de route entre. C'est calme ! Nous avons pris des cours de kite dans une école de kite juste à quelques mètres de l'hôtel, c'était très pratique (restauration possible bonne et pas cher ici également) L'appartement est équipé d'une cuisine avec ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner. On peut acheter à l'hôtel des bidons de 5 gallons d'eau pas cher. Le ménage est fait tous les jours et le personnel est sympathique.

At the beachfront but..
The hotel is located in the front of the beach with a beautiful view. However there were maintenance issues. The air conditioning leaked over the closet. My clothes got a smell... there was also a cockroach eating my candies
