Ophold tæt på havet
Det var svært at se det var et motel. Vi ringede til udlejeren. Han kom i løbet af 10 min. Vi blev opgraderet, idet AC var i stykker på det oprindelige værelse. Fik i stedet et værelse på 84 kvm, med køkken og køkkenredskaber, samt to store senge. Skøn ophold. Der var forskellige småting der skulle laves, men betød ikke noget for vores ophold

THE WORST "HOTEL" IN THE WORLD.
DO NOT STAY HERE. IT IS A SCAM. HURRICANE DAMAGED & UNSAFE. This was the nastiest "hotel" I have ever seen. The lady who was the "greeter" did not speak any English. I walked in and walked right OUT. I got a room at the Arecibo Inn. I wish I would have read the reviews beforehand. I wouldn't stay at this place if someone paid me. DISGUSTING.

Everything about this place is bad. It's a total tourist scam. We stayed for 2 hours and left and still are fighting for a refund.

Sketch, low-budget place, good for students
Don't be fooled by the photos: this place technically has the space and amenities, but it's kind of a DIY unit run by an adult brother and sister who don't quite seem to know what they're doing. It's clean but everything is second-hand, the building needs a lot of work, the electrical wiring is definitely not to code, and the fact that this square little house sits right at the edge of the shore makes it feel like a big swell would literally lap up against the foundation. We ended up coming in at night, and being unnerved enough by the situation that we went back down the road to a nice restaurant we had seen that looked like it had an adjacent hotel, and got lucky with a last-minute room there, which was far nicer and more professional on gorgeous seaside premises FOR LESS THAN THIS PLACE CHARGED. If it were up to me, I'd price this place between $50-75/night and advertise it as a good 1-star crash pad for traveling students and the like.

Expedia, please remove this hotel from your site!
I hope no one is ever tricked into booking this place again. The pictures on expedia are completely inaccurate. Any positive reviews are no doubt written by the owner. It was so terrible, that we left shortly after arriving with our three kids, not knowing where we would stay that night or if we'd receive a refund. Here are a few of the problems (also see photos): 1. It was filthy (funny because it also charges a "cleaning fee" on top of its rate) 2. Front and back doors and multiple furniture items are broken. Very difficult to open the doors. 3. Large mirror leaning against the wall, in front of a window, fell on my 5 year old's head when a gust of wind blew it over. This should've been secured to the wall, or in the very least, not leaning against the open window. 4. The windows don't close. There is no screen and no glass, just slats across the window opening. 5. Exposed/unsafe electrical throughout the apartment 6. Broken balcony rail (compare to advertised picture of balcony). Open drop to the rocky shore, unsafe for small children. 7. Only 2 full sized beds; we had 5 people on the reservation. 8. Large puddle of water on the floor of the bedroom, unknown origin 9. Not a desirable location. We felt unsafe, considering the open windows and broken doors. I hope expedia asks for a building inspection on this place. The owner refused to refund my money but expedia gave me a credit. I realize this is a benefit of using expedia, vs. dealing with the owner directly.

Rooms too small, too noise and close to the road. Water was cold and the air conditioning did not work.

Most reasonable beachside hotel
This place while not the most updated decor was the best hotel we stay at for it's price. It's was unbelievably reasonable for a place with 2 bedrooms, a couch and kitchen as well as a balcony that overlooked the crashing waves of the beach. The beach blow our balcony is not one you could lounge on as it was not sandy and rocks instead, it was gorgeous and we enjoyed sitting outside listening to the crashing waves before bed and in the morning. The only complaint we had was that our shower water did not get very warm. We slept in only one of the bedrooms which the window AC kept very cool, but the living room area was much warmer for someone who might have slept out there.

TOTAL SCAM
Not only was the price shown on Expedia wrong by $40, the place was disgusting and unsafe. I booked a room on Expedia for $85 per night, and then when i went to check out, it showed and additional $5.95 taxes, totaling $90.95. Then I got an email summary from the hotel saying that there was an additional $35 cleaning fee. And my reservation was for only 1 adult. When I complained, they fixed my reservation to be for 3 adults and 1 child, as I had put in Expedia, but they would not take off the $35 fee. I was upset, but I didn't have much choice to rebook so close to time to travel, and I didn't have cell service in Puerto Rico, so I decided to suck it up and went with it. When I got there late in the night, the person who showed us around was under the influence of something and the place itself was terrible. There were holes in the walls with open outlets sticking out, a rusted out refrigerator that did not cool at all, and 3-pronged appliances plugged into 2 prong extension cords. I literally got a shock when I tried to plug in the coffee maker and the extension cord sizzled and popped and made the microwave stop working. One of the beds had a stain that looked like blood on the bedding, and the back balcony had a hole in it that literally had an open drop off into a very sharp rocky coast. I had my child with me and it was absolutely NOT a safe space for us stay. I'm pretty sure this is someone's extra apt beside their house. We got out of there in a hurry

Went with my husband and kids. It was nice ig your looking for a place where you can feel like home, cozy, confortable. Not a 5star hotel but wonderfull place to relax!

Wouldn't recommend it to anyone
I booked a room at the hotel, but they overbooked-- so instead, they sent us to a random studio apartment on the other side of town. The bathroom floor was soaked. The bath mat was crusty and brown, and the whole place smelled like that sweet garbage smell you catch a whiff of around dumpsters. I was eaten alive by bed bugs all night, but the bed was fairly comfortable. So there's that. I'm not a negative review writer. I think this is my first one, actually. So I'm not some troll hating on everything. This place was just that terrible. The location was great though! Arecibo is beautiful. It's probably Puerto ricos best kept secret.

Overpriced.
It's an apartment in a shack. Everything rusted; had to struggle with a rusted padlock and rusted gate to get in and out. Parking = the side of the road (hope it doesn't get hit). Bed comfortable but situated right next to road (about 6 feet) so if loud music and mufflers of passing cars will keep you awake... Sliding glass door to porch = very corroded; good luck getting it open as well. Bathroom very small. TV small and can only watch from bed. Worth about half what they charge.

Horrible DO NOT STAY. YOU'LL REGRET IT.
Do not stay here, this is not a hotel, it is a broken down house the stove is dangerous, fridge is dirty, rust all over, bathroom is disgusting all of us actually showered with our slippers on because of how dirty and full of fungus. The bed sheets had stains of someone who stayed and had her period and stained the sheets, there is no one available to attend you or even to turn in the keys when you are leaving. I have pictures of the rust all over the place windows, doors, fridge, stove. The air conditioner makes so much noise you can't sleep, and the windows don't open so you can't turn it off. And with the windows close you hear everything outside from speeding cars to people talking so it'd be worse with it opened. And I'm just getting started, Hotels.com should give me a full refund for this dump, no WiFi, no phone connection..horrible I only stayed 1 night but it was 1 night too many.

Something different
This isn't exactly what I would call a hotel so I was a little thrown by that. It's more an apartment or maybe a couple apartments in a beach shack. The place wasn't in the greatest shape, but the bed was comfy, the AC was cool, the fridge worked, and it is a few feet from the ocean so there are perks. Just be prepared for something a little different. Also the cleaning fee is significant.

Beautiful view; great experience for couples
The view here is gorgeous and really does "touch" the Atlantic. It was so nice to sit on the couch or lay in bed and listen to the ocean. The view is spectacular during the day with rolling waves; at night spectacular in the star-lit sky. Great restaurants and little beach bars all up and down the street (though we'd recommend driving to them instead of walking as the road is pretty busy). Close to the Arecibo Lighthouse and a couple of nice little beaches. Bed is BIG and very comfortable. A/C is cold! The city was in the middle of a drought so we didn't have water in the bathroom sink, but that wasn't a problem for us as the kitchen had a working sink and the shower worked well (good water pressure!). Room is spacious and clean. We were able to use the refrigerator to keep our drinks cold. This was a very relaxing place to stay.
