Worst experience in a hotel ever! There was no hot water for days and we were never advised of it until we tried to have a shower. They said they’d refund us $20. We refused and wanted a full refund which they granted, but unfortunately, being in Quebec city, this time of year is impossible to find a last-minute reservation so our whole weekend getaway was compromised. The general manager was extremely rude. The only silver lining is that we got a total refund. I will never stay here again.

Email said to go to one address to check in, went to that address, a printed note said to go to another address 2 doors up. Went there and hand written note says to call number for keys. someone was vacuuming and let me in, and gave me the keys. Got to the room which was back at first location up two flights of stairs, Although the room was older it was quaint and immaculately clean and well made up. Wifi was good, but TV was old, tiny and didn't work well. There was noted that there was no housekeeping provided during our two nigh stay, but there was still an envelope for a housekeeping tip. I don't think that was warranted as the least we can expect at check in was a clean room. Breakfast was included in our package, and was well-prepared and delicious in the restaurant attached. We would definitely consider this property again since it hit the high points of clean and quaint.

I'm trying to get a hold of this place because this place has never issued me a receipt. Not only that, this place is very loud, no sound proof between rooms. It's a nightmare dealing with this property, avoid at all cost

1. Our room was very difficult to get to -- upstairs, downstairs, around corners all of which were a tight fit with luggage. 2. We requested 2 extra pillows when we made our reservation which the hotel refused to provide -- said they had no extras, which is very hard to believe for a hotel of any size and they were not particularly nice about it.

Séjour agréable. Le fait d'avoir les marches à monter avec des bagages est gênant et ne semble pas adapté à des personnes âgées ou présentant des difficultés physiques. Le petit déjeuner est bon avec un service agréable.

Check in is weird - you don't know you can't check into the hotel until you get there and there is a note on the door telling you to go down the street. No one answers the phone number they give you to call

As long as you don’t need parking or an elevator this is the perfect hotel. We arrived by VIA train to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time touring the old city of Québec, with Hotel Louisbourg as our ideally located base for our walking tours. We had a double room on the third floor, with two double beds, so there was tons of space for us two adults. The hotel is quiet and very clean. There are no staff to clean your room, but we were good for three nights, with lots of coffee pods, teas and towels provided. There are excellent restaurants within arms reach of the front door, the breakfast downstairs was amazing. That said, if you’re mobility challenged, or cannot carry suitcases up stairs or require parking, this is not the hotel for you. For the rest of us mobile folks who travel light and love to walk an old city, I highly recommend Hotel Louisbourg.

Hotel vieillot, tres bruyant le soir , proximité de la cuisine du restaurant je pense , car la nuit c'était tranquille. Pas de tiroirs pour ranger ses vêtements et pas vraiment une table de chevet a coté du lit.

L’accueil très ordinaire ce n’est pas la bonne info, la Reception est plus loin et au départ personne répond on laisse les clés. Sur le bureau personne n’est présent et personne ne repond. Quebec old town hotel
The hotel is in the old town so the facilities are old and that's what you should expect. No elevator, water volume was low, a few drainage was clogged, room temperatures was not adjustable. However, the location was great. Easy to access all the major landmarks.

Nice location. Rooms could be a bit cleaner. The one we were in smelt like smoke. Checkout was confusing as the check in hotel is not open first thing in the morning and no one would answer the phone numbers associated.

Hi - Based on the reviews we did not expect much from this hotel. The hotel notified us that there would not be anyone coming in to clean our room during our stay. We did however expect it to be clean upon arrival. The shower was full of long black hair and the sink was pretty near clogged. Also, at the checkin location we asked where we could park and the young man at the desk said to look for the public parking lot 2 streets over. I asked if he could map it for me and he said I would be able to figure it out. We went to the public parking entrance and it was indicated as being full. We did figure out the parking in the end ourselves however we thought the hotel could have been a little more helpful in this regard. The positives we came across were the location and the breakfast restaurant. We were only in for the weekend so this did the job while we were there. Will not go back to this hotel.
