Thanks for taking the time to write this review. Apologies that the extra bed steps were not sufficient for your needs. We use hi-grade mattresses and low profile box springs for our beds but the Benson (circa 1775) has a antique poster bed. The bed height is actually lower than ones used historically but higher than modern options. I am sorry I wasn’t more specific about the fireplace. Our fireplaces are gas, not electric. They produce a real flame that is cozy in the winter months. However, when the outside temperature is close to 100, we make sure the gas pilot lights are turned off so our AC can keep rooms comfortable. I apologize I wasn’t clear about why the fireplaces were turned off. We hope you have a chance to return. Come in the winter if you want the heat of a fireplace and we will try to arrange a room option with a lower bed.

Our instruction card in the room may also need to be improved. We offer a Hulu account that is already setup in all rooms. It includes regular TV channels, HBO, Cinemax, ESPN+, and Disney+. The only services our guests need to sign into are Netflix and/or Prime Video. Sorry for our oversight but are happy you enjoyed your overall stay with us!

Thanks for your support of our small business. My apology for any inconveniences with the TV. I know you originally didn’t find the TV service card in the room so there was some confusion. We try to be very clear that we offer Hulu channels, HBO, Cinemax, ESPN+, Disney+, and Discovery+. But, we cannot offer Netflix for multiple rooms and advertise that guests will have to sign into their own accounts. We then offer assurances that we will log out guests after departure in case they forget to do it themselves. We have many guests that return just for the Lipscomb room because they enjoy the oversized garden soaking tub and steam shower. I know the description of the tub is accurate on Expedia but sometimes the rooms are not clear unless you are on our website. I also know the morning you stayed with us was also the morning that there was a 5 alarm fire in a nearby neighborhood. Fortunately nobody was injured but the multiple fire trucks did pass by the Inn early in the morning. We knew that it had to have disturbed the sleep of our guests. We would love to have you stay with us again. Until then, be safe!

Thanks for taking the time to write this review. My apologies if there was any disconnect with communications. When guests decide to not book direct with us, we don't always have full details. There weren't any notes for dietary requests on non-dairy options which are available when we know. We offer our guests special packages to enhance reservations for anniversaries, birthdays, etc. but they are typically managed through direct bookings or with our many repeat guests when there is better visibility for us and for our guests. I know we put "Happy Anniversary" on your personalized welcome letter but clearly I didn't manage expectations for something more. I apologize for my oversight. We are glad you enjoyed the property and appreciate your kind remarks in our registration book.
