It was a very dirty property with the smell of cigarette smoke everywhere. Would not ever stay there again.

One night in Durham
The lobby and hallways smell of smoke, the rooms less so but it still seems like it's an issue that's just hidden well with paint and overbearing cleaning products. The room we were given was not prepared well, and had an incredibly dilapidated state. Furniture with missing trim, counter tops with missing edges, and mismatched pieces like a table without chairs. Cabinetry had doors that were not sized or affixed properly. Very strange and not at all comforting. The vinyl flooring was the most updated and nicest feature, not necessarily what you're hoping for in a hotel room. The bathroom had a shower that contained concerning staining and grout issues.

We left after seeing room. Pungent, sweet smell of smoke in hallways. Felt unsafe. Fire alarm intermittently beeping in hallway as if in need of battery change. Not the promised room we booked. Staff would not answer call of concerns from Expedia so our refund denied because of that. Only plus is young woman at front desk was kind, professional, and polite. We feel sorry for her. We’ve never had such a poor experience and we still don’t have resolution.

The Hotel was very nice, enjoyed the kitchen. They need to upgrade the sofa bed but other than that a very good visit.

Reservation was made 5months in advance for two double rooms. Upon arrival was told they only had one room available. Front desk clerk was polite but at some point the decision was made to give our room to someone else. She did not volunteer to remedy t he situation but when pressed finally found a second room which was being cleaned. We were given access to a double room with sloppy wet floors and a single room with badly stained and torn carpet. We were charged the same for both rooms. .

I ordered 2 queen beds room. But upon arrival, they told me the 2 queen bed rooms are not available. They can give me 2 rooms instead. But because I ordered the room through a third party (Expedia), they cannot do it. I need to ask the third party to deal with it. Since it was late night, I could not change order, I had to take the 1 queen bed room with sofa. I was unhappy with their service and would like to share the experience with other people. Besides it, the hotel room really needs renovation, the furnitures are old and dirty. It was a bad experience.

Staff was not available. We had long wait times at check in & check out. In fact no one ever showed up to check us out. After waiting for twenty minutes, I just left my keys on the counter and left.

Here is the deal. Older hotel, and the room shows it. Comfortable beds though. The staff is very friendly and helpful, all of them. Very quiet and safe hotel, even on the weekends. Oh, no bugs. Very convenient location. 15 minutes to Raleigh, 10 minutes to Duke U. Supermarket, Dollar store, and some of Durham's best breakfast less than a mile away. Jimmy's Famous hot dogs is there also in the other direction. Caution, they are short staffed like everyone else. So take a few minutes and spruce up the room, and enjoy your stay in the Raleigh/Durham area, there's much to do.

Disgusting humans run the lobby
I booked through hotels.com. they didnt call to confirm the reservation and neither the 3rd party nor the hotel contacted me with any problems. I arrived at 7p with 4 tired and hungry kids to be told they were overbooked and had no room for us and to call the 3rd party because it "wasnt their problem". The woman refused to get the manager and became agitated,loud, and rude to the pt of yelling at me to leave as i was trying to sort out what to do next. They had people screaming in the halls and children running loose and people outside smoking pot in the lot. The lobby was the size of a coat closet. For the price they were charging, youd think you were staying at the ritz or something fancy. This place was trashy, smelled bad, and was ghetto as heck.

We never stayed here since they were overbooked. The clerk at the counter had a bad attitude and basically told me she couldn’t help me since I went threw a 3rd party

The check in wasn’t good, when I paid the $35 fee at check in, the clerk told me “I also took out your $85 for the room” I told her why are you charging me $85 when I paid $78 online... she said you have two reservations.. I told her how when I only booked and paid for one.. Her name was Ayanna, she my need more training.

Disgusting. No pillows, so I had to sleep on towels. There was a slipper, and empty beer bottle, and 2 pills underneath the bed. Most disgusting stay I have ever had. If not in a pinch, I would have never stayed.

They did call to see if everything was ok. Later couldn’t turn on tv, the light was on so should have worked. Some cables not plugged, couldn’t figure out. I could have called front desk if I really wanted. One fire detector in hallway beeping

I am very upset. I understand it is not a 5 star hotel but to there and smell chemicals in the air. I complained to the front desk. I reply was she was going to spray air freshener, chemical or smelling wait not take that out. It was very strong. The hotel itself went down. The room was terrible and we didn’t feel safe but mostly it was the chemicals that I smelled the whole entire stay. The staff said she knew what I was talking about and she said she had several complaints. Her only solution to spray air freshener & that didn’t even help. I’m sure this was unsafe for people to breathe in. I asked for a different location or a different room to avoid the smell. Staff said it was nothing she could do. I asked for a manager and have called several times (Hotel & your company). AND STILL NOTHING. I stayed there 4/4/21–4/5/21 and still nothing from you guys and this location.

Terrible do not stay.
Very dirty and unkempt . Cigarette smell all over. Never heard of an extended stay with no plates , cutlery or pots. Only had one staff on duty at night

NOT 100% Smoke Free as Advertised
This place is suppose to be a Non smoking hotel. I stayed here for 2 nights and I would smell tobacco smoke off and on every hour or so. The bathroom smelled like a ashtray very bad and had burn marks all over the sink. Told the manager there and she said she investigated it and nobody was smoking. Very upset with this place and will never stay here again. Also the lock on the door didnt work the first night and they didnt fix it until the next day.

NOT a non smoking hotel. I stayed for a couple nights here and the bathroom smelled of tobacco smoke very bad and had burn marks all on the sink. I had to keep the bathroom door closed to keep the smell going into the room. People smoke in this hotel and are getting away with it. This hotel is not a NON smoking hotel as it is advertised.
