근처에 안전한 공원이 있어 산책하기 좋았습니다. 직원들도 친절하고 방은 매우 청결했습니다. 조식은 매일매일 새롭게 바로바로 조리하기에 매우 맛있었습니다. 24시간 따뜻한 물과 커피가 제공되기에 매우 만족했습니다. 다만 근처에 쇼핑몰이나 수퍼가 없습니다. 호텔밖에 현지 식당 1~2곳 뺴고는 기념품이나 식료품을 전혀 살 수가 없었습니다. 위치가 조금 아쉬웠습니다. 그리고 호텔스 닷컴은 수수료를 10불내라고 해서 조금 당황스러웠습니다. 그 외에는 매우 만족합니다.

Zero amenities And by amenities I mean a water source other than my rooms bathroom sink. Or coffee for the in room coffee maker Or anything in the bathroom besides the world’s smallest single bar of soap. Or a working ice machine Or bacon, bagels, biscuits for the biscuits and gravy, or sausage. Better do breakfast early if for some reason you decide to stay here The staff was nice but this is the most cut rate holiday inn I have ever stayed at.

typical Holiday Inn except noisy at one side of the hotel, which is on the side of highway, very noisy at night, hard to have good sleep. If you choose this Holiday Inn, make sure your room is on the other side.

Never AGAIN !!
I booked this hotel based on being Pet Friendly per my search request which showed this Hotel on Hotels.com site. I read the Holiday Inn policies on this site Before booking my room. Under Pet Policy it states Pet fee is $50.00 Check out time listed on Hotels.com states 12 noon When reviewing Hotel information and policies, a potential guest Expects information presented is going to be exactly same upon Arrival. That was NOT the situation we experienced. Not to mention the Hotel is located in an unsafe area of town. Issue #1) Upon arrival, Guest Services clerk claimed there were No available rooms for pets because the 4 rooms allotted were already occupied. She claimed she would need to call mgr to get override/permission for us to stay there. I had a reservation already Issue #2) I was charged $75.00 for pet fee vs $50.00 and was told they don't have control over "misinformation" shown on Hotels.com site. Clerk refused to honor price shown in writing on this site. Issue#3) Check out at Front Desk shows 11:00 am vs 12 noon as written on Hotels.com site Issue #4) Drug addicts loitering on property at night asking guest for Cash for food. Scared US to Death to get out of vehicle to enter hotel. I offered food i had brought back from my family's house, but homeless addict didn't want the food and kept insisting on cash. He finally walked away after my husband made it clear several times we didn't have cash available. I advised night mgr at front desk how scared we were!!

The front desk was so overwhelmed. We booked our stay in May not knowing it was UNCC’s homecoming weekend. We came from an hour & half to see one of my favorite bands in concert. We travel to Durham once or thrice a year to go to the DPAC, a wonderful venue to see bands play. Our first time for this hotel and probably our last. They charged a $75 incidental fee to my card. Crazy!!! Anyway the concert was great and in the end not a horrible visit. The ladies at the front desk were frustrated because the 3rd party billing wasn’t working and the check in time posted and we didn’t get checked in until after 4:00 pm because housekeeping was so far behind.

HORRIBLE ALL THE WAY AROUND
My family and I booked a hotel room for Friday and Saturday night. We did not come until Saturday morning. The hotel receptionist would not let us check in until 3:00 Saturday, even though our reservation was for Friday. The lady at the front desk could not help us and had to call two other people to figure things out. She couldn't "find" our reservation in the system. We called them Friday night to make them aware, so this exact situation didn't happen, but it happened anyway. We left the hotel and made reservation somewhere else and still paid for our reservations. No call back, no apology, no reimbursement, nothing.

I booked 2 queen beds at this property. When I arrived, I was given handicap access room with 1 king bed and pull out sofa that was not made up. No explanation was given. No forewarning. When I called front desk, they said they are overbooked ( how is it even possible?) and there are no other rooms. They refused to make up the sofa bed and told me I need to come downstairs to pick up sheets for the sofa bed. They did not care about the situation at all. The sofa bed was terrible, thin mattress made of springs, very uncomfortable. This was my son’s last night before college and we were extremely disappointed. Breakfast was very basic, most of the food was tasteless. The hotel did not feel clean We stayed at this property exactly 1 year ago and it was a great value , but would never stay here again. It went right downhill. Not sure if there was a management change or budget cuts, but stay away. Oh, and the front desk staff was dressed so unprofessionally and was making rude remarks about customers calling online.

Razor blade on carpet. Had to get the keys reprogramed everytime we left. Sink clogged. Asked for a plunger or bleach, was told they didn't have. Boyfriend tried to fix. Black sewer everywhere. Everything out-of-order. Dirty sheets and furniture. Cleaned sink mess up ourselves with towels. Nobody came to clean up or give us new towels. Never once was the GM on property, while we were there.. Took pictures of things. Never compensated.

This was the worst Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in. The people and service was good but the condition of the hotel is below average at best. I would not stay there again.

A good (clean) option in Durham for the money!
We stay at IHG most of the time when we come to Durham because it is close to the family we are visiting, it is clean, and it is remarkably quiet despite being next to 85. We used to stay at a nicer hotel, but the convenience is hard to beat! The complementary breakfast is pretty good compared to similar hotels that offer complementary breakfasts; the one thing they might work on there is that the complementary coffee is not the best.

The property was clean, safe and comfortable. The room was very nice. The service was excellent, especially when we left our hanging clothes in the closet. Charles, an employee I spoke with over the phone, personally went to ship them to my home before I even paid him. He trusted that I would send him the payment after he spent his own money and time! Not many do that these days!

Convenient, quiet, and (mostly) clean
Hotel is convenient to Duke and Durham, and despite being next to a highway, relatively quiet. Complementary breakfast was acceptable (better than Hampton Inns I have stayed at, though Hampton Inn may have the edge on the coffee quality.) Cleanliness is probably the most important issue to me, and there were a couple of issues with cleanliness -- smudge marks on the microwave, and a stain of the sofa which gave us pause -- but the rest of the room and bathroom appeared to be clean. We have stayed here before, and probably will again when visiting family in the area.

I got in late and it took three times to get a key to work. One of the front desk staff was in a wife-beater tank top and looked unprofessional. The staff was also rude and seemed to be bothered by us being there. The toilet in one of our rooms had a couple of pubic hairs on it and the room was old and dirty. We will never use the hotel again.

This hotel has been remodeled beautifully. The staff was helpful and the hotel was generally comfortable. Unfortunately, it is located next to a freeway and trucks driving by at night are loud. Ear plugs are a must. My only other complaint was the beds. They were way too soft for me.

Least nicest holiday inn express I ever stayed in. Only thing nice about hotel is right off i85. Also there’s a gas station n McDonald’s right next store.
