Pretty darn perfect except maybe more options for breakfast and having the tv blaring at the breakfast area with no way to mute it.

I am so sorry for your experience but some how Expedia made a reservation at the Grand Gateway and they sent you to the Foothills Inn. then you wanted to stay in a room for 2 nights when only paying for one night because you checked in past are system close. Plus we do not allow locals to rent rooms. and we do not match rates. we have policy and the staff tries very hard to maintain police.Maybe try the next time to read Hotel policies before just clicking BOOK. Sorry for your problems. We do not rent walk ins after midnight and doors are locked. We have a lot of reviews scores that are 8-10.. and are very happy with our security policies.

Monet, sorry for your Issues, wish we knew what they were, always call front desk and they are more than willing to assist you in any of your needs. If it had to do with our policies, we always send out your confirmation letter with all policies listed, but you do have to read them, plus they are usually listed on all web On line travel agents, plus our official web page.
Nice quiet place to stay. Like the security measures they take to ensure safety. Staff is friendly

We are sorry you did not enjoy our continental breakfast, we list everything we offer. From the Jimmy Dean breakfast croissant sandwich that is available at the front desk to the peanut butter, jelly, and butter. We do, however, hope everything else was enjoyable during your stay!
I liked that the staff was very kind, they made you feel comfortable and welcomed and the price wasn't too high, except the deposit they put on hold is a little high other than that very clean and quiet.

Upon check-In was advised that due to booking on Hotels.com there would be an additional $10 charge.
Reservation was made for three adults and one child with 2 queen beds.
Was advised that due to “the additional person” there would also be an additional $12 charge.

Derk, Sorry for your disappointment, Our rates are quoted for 2 adults. there are only 2 online travel agents, Expedia and Bookings and of course Book Direct. all others gather there information from these 2 sites depending who they are affiliated with. and many agents are from other countries and do not understand even what a hide a bed is or a Roll a way. Sorry again.

It was good service without a smile. The lady definitely made it seem like she would have rather be doing anything else but working. Also had a bad experience at the Perkins restaurant which is one of the reasons we stayed at the hotel because on the internet it stated the restaurant was real close by. I wouldn’t be bragging about being near this restaurant..

Kari we are so very sorry. If I had known you were going to Perkins we would have recommended the Millstone. Perkins has always been a personal favorite of mine, However this year we've had an extremely large amount of complaints.We have contacted there corporate office. hopefully that will help the situation. The Foothills Inn is very friendly but an outdated hotel. It’s old but clean. I booked thru a second party and lucky I talked to them there is no elevator. They had us on the 2nd floor. We’re both in our 80’s. The desk was very accommodating. With 1st floor and our king bed. Check in and check out weee very convenient.

The hotel has a cozy lobby. All staff were very friendly and professional. The room was nice, clean, brightly lit. The rate was unbeatable. We wish that we had more time to spend here!

Sorry Charles for the stairs, we do post on all web sites we have no elevator to second floor, and we do discount them seasonal. But we have 40 rooms on first. You should have been notified that there was no elevator with our confirmations letter also. We do have a very extensive detailed page called "Know before you go" Come stay again we appreciate your business and the time you took to write us a review.
When we arrived we were promptly checked into our room. When we got to the room (dingy and outdated- nasty stained carpets) and got ALL of our belongings unloaded from the cart my Mom noticed that the floors weren’t even vacuumed since a prior guest stayed in the room! There were toenail clippings all over the floor between the 2 beds. I took a picture and went to the front desk and showed the guest service rep. She said “ewe gross! I’m sorry. I can move you to another room.” She moved us to the room next door- this room appeared to have been cleaned but had a nasty smell to it. We opened the sliding glass doors to air it out.
The pool was open and I was going to go for a swim until I saw how dirty it was. I know its outside and a few leaves would be acceptable but the slime and grime on the pool steps was pretty gross!
Also disappointed that it only had a small continental breakfast. Fortunately we only stayed one night. I feel we should have been offered a discount at least for the conditions of the rooms we were given.

Joey, so sorry for your disappointment, In regard to the pool, the agent should have told you we were in the process of shutting it down, there was no heat to it.. And as far as the breakfast, we list every item on the web page just so no one is disappointed. We call it a Simple continental breakfast. We you offered a jimmy dean breakfast bisque? Always read what your Hotel offers and it's policies... you will never be disappointed, it is called Know before you go.

Very pleased with everything about this hotel. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. The room looked like it had been remodeled and was very clean and nicely furnished. We will definitely stay here again when we’re in the area.
