Summer Creek Inn ("SCI") is in the "middle of nowhere, but the owners (who also live there) have gone to great lengths to make this an oasis - a little bit of paradise!
SCI has very spacious, cozy bedrooms, some with lovely woodsy views, a super comfortable bed, and the bathroom is oh soooo spacious -- modern, ultra clean with great shower/water pressure. The main house is tastefully decorated, super clean and modern, and very comfortable. Guests are welcome to share the main areas of the home, and the outer patios and gardens too.
Speaking of gardens, truly beautiful and a sight to behold. There are large grounds, full of flowering gardens and grass, and a lovely feng shui waterfall to cap it all off. It's very peaceful to sit on a swing chair, rocking chair or regular chair and take it all in. Meals can also be served on the patio (weather permitting), with fine china/silverware/napkins, while taking in the beautiful garden views.
Speaking of meals - the owner/chef/hostess is a culinaire supreme. Her breakfasts were culinary treats each day - a real gourmet. And for me, a vegetarian/vegan, she was very skilled in putting together a delicious breakfast to suit on short notice.
Our hosts were very gracious, and gave of themselves as they joined us at each mealtime to share info on their neighborhood and lovely state, and of themselves. I met several repeat guests too - which is another indicator of the loveliness & warmth of the hosts and inn too.
SCI is a MUST!
