The Team At Cooks Oasis made a awesome first impression by a special message on a blackboard advising our villa number as we came on a night flight. And that made it very easy. The place is quiet and chill for all those who wana escape city life.🙂 loved the complimentary fruit bowl ! Thanks for having us Christine

We love this place. Matty & Erin were lovely and full of helpful information. The teenagers were very happy to find that Wi-Fi was now available. We were happy that a water filter was recently installed. We were all happy with the lovely beach only a short walk away, and the pool for cooling off in. Villa 2 had plenty of room for the 4 of us. The air-conditioning and fans kept us comfortable. Great facilities available included in your stay: laundry, BBQ, DVD library, reef shoes and snorkelling gear, and kayaks. There are restaurants withing walking distance and it is only 10 mins or so into Avarua by car. We much preferred The Cooks Oasis over a full blown resort. Hope we can make it back one day.

The Cooks Oasis - 'O' for Awesome !! Immaculately presented upper level island beach house. Spacious, high vaulted ceilings, well ventilated, comfortable rooms, fully equipped kitchen and a great shower/bathroom facility. The wrap around verandah provided great indoor/outdoor flow with glimpses of the stunning beach 2 mins walk down a short shared driveway. Awesome hosts Erin and Matt are always on hand to offer super friendly, relaxed, professional assistance, nothing is a problem. Their encyclopaedic local knowledge, advice and connections helped get us into all the places we needed to go. A good bar (The Birdcage) and restaurant (Anchorage) are next door at the resort and nice little bakery across the road. First time in 'Raro and planning our next trip already - thanks to the Cooks Oasis team for an unforgettable stay!

Lovely property managed since June 2022 by a knowledgeable and friendly kiwi couple. Recommend if you are looking for a smaller place to stay with a plunge pool and a lovely private beach facing towards the sunset. The owners gave a fantastic overview to the property including the free kayaks, snorkels and reef shoes. Room has a kitchen for cooking and there areno fewer than 20 restaurants ranging from resorts to a local bakery within 15 minutes walk. Rooms was clean and had its private seating area. Recommend if you are looking for a quiet stay with warm hosts

Upon arrival, host were very accommodating. We arrived late because of the flight delay, but hosts made sure we are looked after and comfortable. Cleaned our place every after 2 days, and restock everything. Walking towards the beach woth an awesome view. Great service. Will definitely come back again.

The location is excellent - right on the beach with snorkelling and kayaks available. Relaxing pool and BBQ areas. Very useful to be able to rent car too. Accommodation had everything we needed and felt very private.

The Cooks Oasis provides a clean villa in a perfect location. The hosts, Matt and Adele are really friendly and helpful. They assisted with booking taxis, making reservations, and suggesting places to visit. Villa 2 was perfect for our family of four, including two teenagers. We had a difficult time finding accommodations with one king and two twin beds until we found this one. The beach was beautiful and relatively private. In addition, there were several restaurants close by and a bakery with delicious pastries for breakfast. We’d definitely stay here again.

Matt, Adele and family what lovely people... we had some great conversations and felt like family but were never intrusive. Solitude and peace. Great place to unwind, beach a stone throw away. My room was great to come home to at the end of the day. Comfortable lovely bed. I Was out most of the day.

The hosts were lovely. Negative points: although it is advertised as providing air conditioning, this service is available at an extra cost of $30.00/day. Again, it is advertise as providing wi-fi services. However, these must be be contracted from the provider, at $50.00 per 500 MB ( it is painfully slow). The villas are nice, but crammed together. They are extremely hot during the day and air does not circulate easily. The shower temperature is difficult to regulate. Hot water comes in waves. The villa provides kayaks, ridge shoes and videos. There are three (or four? can't remember) kayaks, all for one person and one for three persons, none for two.

We will investigate the shower in your room, and we encourage all our guests to use the available fans for air circulation as Rarotonga gets very hot during the summer months. Nice location and a lovely warm welcome when we arrived! We had the use of snorkeling gear and kayaks. Unfortunately the dogs in the area kept us up barking, so not the Cooks Oasis fault! Also our fan wasnt very good, it couldn't sustain the higher speed and kept slowing down then speeding back up. Overall a nice place to stay.

very well located to the centre of everything Villas were clean and well keep, they were serviced every 3 days. Lots of Watersport equipment for guests to use Owners were very friendly and easy to speak too. They booked all our excursions for us. Easy walking distance to lovely restaurants

Spacious stand alone unit a short walk to beach
The unit is half way down a short lane which ends at the beach, so no road noise . From the beach swing provided by the resort we saw Southern Right Whales on 6 of the 7 days. The lagoon is swallow enough to walk around without needing flippers to cross the reef. There are enough small topical fish to satisfy the normal snorkeler. There are 7 restaurants within walking distance and the bus stop is beside the lane.

Nice but not too nice
We were two old friends heading away for a few days. This place was cheap and cheerful. The managers and the communication was outstanding, the place was clean and tidy. It was a short walk to the beach on what I believe is the better side of the island. I wouldn't really recommend it families as the pool is. very small. But it was great for two old girls who wanted to get away.

The new hotel owners are working hard upgrading this already nice little hotel. The only improvement that I felt was needed was a new mattress (ours had no support, it just sunk in). Matt and Adele were friendly and helpful, and had two adorable cocker spaniels that are great with kids. The room was spacious and very clean. The location is next to a quiet, secluded section of beach. We were frequently the only people on the beach, as opposed to the beaches outside the resorts that were busier. This meant seeing a lot more fish when snorkeling.

Nice holiday villas right on the beach.
We loved our stay at the Cooks Oasis Holiday Villas. The room was spacious and clean, and the beach as well as some restaurants and a bakery were within walking distance. The owner was super friendly and helpful and made sure that our stay was enjoyable and we had everything we needed. We were able to use reef shoes/ snorkeling gear and thought that the beach right in front of the Cooks Oasis was the best for snorkeling (better than other beaches on the island). We found the location very convenient and would definitely stay again when we come back to Rarotonga.

Clean and tidy
Very clean and tidy rooms, excellent hosts in Matt and Adele, who had fantastic communication right from the start before we even arrived. Everything you could ask for without a doubt. Location is brilliant, close enough to the airport to be handy and a lovely stroll through the palms to the beach. Beautiful.

Cozy and friendly; a good value optio
Cooks Oasis was the second place we stayed in Rarotonga, and while it wasn’t as grand as our first AirBnB, it was charming and a good value, and the owners were friendly. We picked it so that we would have pool access, which didn’t pan out (massive rains). But we did take advantage of their massive DVD library which came in handy when the weather didn’t cooperate. The 1-BR was comfortable for my husband, daughter, and I, but we should note it’s note a full barrier (and definitely nig soundproof if you are seeking privacy). Had the weather been better for the two nights we were there, we would have liked to use their kayaks or snorkeled out by their shore. Oh well, next time!

Great place to stay
Great place to stay. Owners were friendly, accommodations had everything I needed. Mostly a family vibe. Laundry, dvds, and reef shoes were a nice touch. Enjoyed my stay, just wish it were easier on the wallet 😁 Internet is twice as much as bluesky, so beware. Seemed to drain much faster than my actual usage, but you’re not in the cook’s for the internet!!

Budget resort that has everything you want..
The staff were so friendly and helpful.... you didn't need to make our bed and change the towels every day, but hey.. we're not complaining... The beach is about 200m down the walkway...... There's a shop over the road that sells most {some] stuff, and a bakery and pub about 5 mins walk away.... The pub has "O"rsome burgers....... The bus stop is about 2 mins walk from the resort..... You'll need a rental car if you stay here, but hey, there's plenty of secure parking..

Garden by the sea.
Matt and Adelle met us on arrival, and were perfect hosts. We were looked after from day one and nothing was too much bother. The room was serviced three times in the week to a high standard. A nice setting, literally just a few metres from the beach.

WIFIも有料だし暑く値段なりのホテルでした。
暑い場所なのにエアコンが無く暑くて困りました。 窓には網戸がある窓と無い窓があり、網が無い窓からは虫やヤモリが入ってきてしまい開けっ放しには出来ず困りました。 部屋の近くに小さなプールがあったのですがゴミが浮いていて5日間滞在しましたが掃除をしている感じは無く結局滞在中に泳ぐことはありませんでした。 このホテルのチェックアウトは１０時と早く、１３時までのレートチェックアウトをお願いしたところ５０ドルだと言われました。このホテルは１泊１万円もしないホテルなのに３時間で５０ドルは高すぎです。ちょっと感じの悪いオーナーでリピートする気はありません。 しかもWIFIも有料で非常に高かったです。

Didn't enjoy our stay, moved from Villa 5 due to heat to Villa 6 which was a little bit cooler (sort of) there were hidden costs that was not mentioned when we booked. 1) Pay $30 per day for air con (paid for 3 days of air con & it blew the air from outside in, it wasn't working) 2) Pay for usage of water - paid $36 (it's not much but I was gobbed smacked) - Dogs barking & fighting (from the neighbors) - Got eaten alive from mosquitoes (unsure if its due to the motel) that was my 2nd time in Rarotonga & this was the worse I've been bitten. I really wanted to leave this place day 2 the heat in these top Villas was real bad Thanks to Debbie for trying her hardest to keep us as comfortable as she could, she was wonderful.

Awesome location with a fabulous host!
We booked our trip to Raro one day before we travelled so didnt do much planning. The Villa manager, Debbie, was quick to contact us to provide airport transfer options and upon arrival was extremely helpful. Nothing was a task for her during our stay...she was most helpful providing advice, information about the Island, suggested eating places, drove us into town etc etc etc (I could carry on).

Very nice villa
Very nice villa. Super having a kitchenette, and DVD player with a range of dvds to choose from. Clean and excellent service. The beach is so close, 3 min walk for a swim everyday.

Nice hotel close to the beach
The local beach is nice and allows for a good swim or snorkeling, if it's not too windy. The room is relatively modern and clean. Everything on the island can be reached easily by bus. The best is the staff. They were amazing and very helpful. Overall a good alternative to the big resorts or luxury villas, but the area is relatively quiet and peaceful and doesn't offer the same choice as Muri.

Nice hotel near the beach
I was very happy with my stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. The beach front was nice and it was great to be able to use the snorkeling gear and the reef shoes. The hotel is at walking distance to a bakery and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place.

Be sure you kno what kind of room you Book
It was not like the picture and still can't see our room on other websites of the same motel. We thought through wotif we booked a room with water views as on the website. But we were far from it. Everything else was great. Staff were exceptional. But very disappointed with location. Would have booked somewhere else had we known we were flying all that way and couldnt see the water at all.another tiny grip was other villa people could look directly into our only entry door as they walked around too. No ranch sliders to the air like all the other unit photos have. Even though clean and comftable we obviously got bottom of the barrel and not the holiday we had planned months and months for. I always check that I'm getting what I think when it comes to photos. But the reviews were all reassuring. I will definitely make an in-depth Ph contact if ever a next time

Nicely tucked away
Good base for activities in the north of the island. Room was clean and tidy and self contained. Short stroll to the beach & to nearby restaurants. Jan the on site manager was very friendly and helpful. Happy to recommend.

Home from home
This is a great place to stay for a self-catering option. Staff are friendly and helpful. You will need a car / moped. The beach is a short walk away, although quite stony compared to others. It's on the west coast so views at sunset are amazing.

An enjoyable break
Myself and partner stayed 10 nights and had a most enjoyable holiday. We arrived late and found a lovely welcoming sign at the front of the hotel directing us to our unit We met the staff the following morning - all very pleasant and welcoming. The unit was clean and tidy, serviced regularly and plenty of fresh towels. The beach was a short 100m walk away, great for swimming and snorkeling. We brought our own snorkel gear but could borrow beach shoes from the hotel. Saw whales swimming past!

Good location but in need of TLC
Very basic and very tired. Great location for cafes and restaurants and the setting sun. A lot of money needs to be spent on it to keep it up to standard both inside and out to remain competitive. Owners were away and their manager, Jan was excellent. She has a great way with guests and nothing is a problem for her. The owners chose well in their choice of her.

Very nice stay , Clinton was very helpful and We had a heap of fun and would stay again, it's right by all the nicest places to eat and sunbathe... cheers !
