Excellent location with views outside the old town
A new favorite for us in the Rethymno area. It is a little bit of a walk to the old town but the convenience of parking and walking was worth it for us. The hotel is clean, everyone was friendly, the breakfast was delicious and the views were amazing! We will be back again next year for a longer stay!

Disappointing
I was very disappointed at my room I was given as I found a very dirty shower. As I complained about it, the response of staff and manager was rude and not helpful. The answer was: You booked an economy room, what did you expect?". Well, cleanliness, please. Basic facilities does not mean filthy. After I insisted a lot, I was finally given another room with a clean bathroom this time. The rest of the stay went fine, I didn't stay much in the hotel so I haven't used their other facilities. They even offered me breakfast when I left. The area, a bit outside of town (15 min walk) is close to the bus station, but not so nice. Disappointing altogether.

En härlig semester!
Min vuxna dotter och jag tillbringade 10 härliga dagar på Kreta och på Archipolagos hotell! Mysigt familje/ par hotell i utkanten på Rethymnon. Först lite avskräckta av ”förortskänslan” när vi promenerade in till City, men vi vande oss vid 20 min in och hem! Hittade även fantastiska små restauranger när vi gick väster ut! Varje morgon serverades härlig frukostbuffé med varierande smårätter fr det Grekiska köket. Gemytlig stämning med ägare och övrig personal på hotellet! Bra poolområde med väldigt bra personal i baren, som fixade goda smårätter mm!👍På andra sidan den ganska trafikerade vägen, finns en liten strand, där mest lokalbefolkningen tog sina dopp! Tyvärr ganska skräpigt på och runt stranden men är tydligen i ett renoveringsarbete.Inbjuder till simtur i solnedgången!

The Archipelagos Hotel was an absolutely fantastic place to stay. The Hotel, pool area and rooms were stunning and high quality, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. It was a five star experience with a personal and local touch. Great value for money and wonderful hospitality. The location is also very convenient - there is a little sandy beach and a bus stop just outside the hotel, and the Fortress, Old Town and bus station are all walking distance. The Hotel is well equipped with anything you may need - a small fridge, a pool, beach accessories like umbrellas and toys you can use, and books as well. The food at breakfast and at the pool bar/kitchen was delicious too. Highly recommend this place for families and Honeymooners alike.

Quel horrible souvenir. La chambre ne correspondait pas à la réservation. Il a fallu parlementer longtemps pour obtenir une nouvelle chambre. Il faut 4 ascenseurs pour accéder aux différents étages car l’hôtel est construit en espaliers. Agréable quand on est chargé ! la vue mer de certaines chambres est une petite vue mer derrière la cage d’ascenseur ! Les photos sont trompeuses. Les piscines vues sont privées. La piscine hôtel est sur une terrasse devant les chambres d’autres personnes ! Bonjour l’intimité ! Quand au buffet du petit déjeuner apportez vos sachets de thé et n’ayez pas trop faim ! Et je ne parle pas du non respect des gestes barrières autour du buffet, enfin de la table… Pas de gant ni de masque comme dans les autres hôtels. Et si vous faites la remarque on vous répond « on n’est pas là pour faire la police ! ». Alors qu’il s’agit de leur responsabilité. Pas de parking et vraiment très peu de places disponibles à proximité. Les prix sont totalement disparates d’une chambre à l’autre et sans raison ! A éviter ! Il y a bien mieux ailleurs !

These help us to improve our facilities and to keep high our standards Unfortunately, your review is based on false data: We don’t have 4 elevators (see the official engineering drawing of our building construction) We have plenty (huge) of free parking place just outside the hotel (see Google-Earth) We provide 5 different types of tea for our customers in breakfast time (see the official paper works of the quantities supplied). We provide a large amount of gloves and masks, higher than that required, based on the size of our hotel (see the official paper works of the quantities supplied). Un sejour très agreable
Notre séjour s'est très bien passé. L'hôtel est bien situé bien qu'à proximité d'une route passante. Le parking n'est pas évident mais il y a quelques places disponibles dans la rue. L'accueil est souriant et le personnel disponible. La chambre avec vue était très propre et dotée d'un joli balcon. La piscine est agréable, peut être un peu petite en comparaison de la capacité de l'hôtel (cependant elle n'était pas très fréquentée et nous avons toujours pu en profiter Sans problème). En résumé, le séjour était très agréable.

L'hôtel est très bien situé. A 15 minutes à pieds de la vieille ville et à 10 minutes en bus on trouve de superbes plages. Le personnel de l hôtel est très accueillant et veille constamment à notre bien-être. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel.

Notre appartement était au rez de chaussée, au bord de la route tres passante toute la nuit et pas du tout insonorisé. Des appareils ne marchaient pas, la propreté était douteuse. Le rez de chaussée n'a pas été refait contrairement au reste de l'hôtel.

Une adresse à conseiller
Une très bonne surprise ! Il ne s'agissait que d'une halte sur la route du nord-ouest, un lieu pour dormir une nuit. L'accueil a été très chaleureux, nous avons été surclassés dans une très jolie chambre au bord de la piscine. L'hôtel est seulement à 10 minutes à pied de la vieille ville de Rethymnon. Une très bonne adresse !

Tolles hotel aber keine Fahrräder
Ein super tolles Hotel leider an einer Durchgangsstraße. Ministrand direkt gegenüber. Der pool ist sauber die bar macht schon früh zu. Leider waren die Fahrräder die wir reserviert haben nicht verfügbar. Auf einmal wollte niemand was von der radl Reservierung wissen.

Amazing!
It was amazing! The people are very kind and the view is the best. We had a very nice room and the pool is very nice. The hotel is built against a rock wall which creates nice architecture. I would definitely go here again!

Perfect!
From start to finish the hotel staff were amazing very friendly and extremely helpful from car hire to bus trips or anything we needed to know about the area. It is quite a large hotel but has the atmosphere of a family friendly one. Our studio was perfect for the two of us with a modern feel and was cleaned every day at our convenience. The location is perfect overlooking the sea with a small quiet beach and and within walking distance of the beautiful old town with its narrow streets restaurants and shops. The atmosphere has a great vibe day or night. Getting there from the airport of Chania was 80 Euro by taxi but don’t be afraid to use the buses. We returned to the airport on the local air conditioned bus booked at the nearby bus station for 8 Euros each and it was quicker than the taxi. Great hotel lovely area and lovely people. Would defiantly recommend the hotel and location.

Le patron est super gentil, il nous a même donné une meilleure chambre sachant que nous venions de Montréal, car son fils y a étudié. Le petit déjeuner est énorme! Magnifique terrasse avec bar et piscine. Grande salle de bain. A quelques minutes à pied du port.

Lovely stay...
A very convenient position for the Old Town. Recently updated to a high standard, the owner Stelios and staff could not be more accommodating. Friendly, informative, always helpful. Lovely views from the balcony. Lovely clean safe pool,a nice bar offering nice simple lunches and snacks as well as a good range of refreshments. Many people only use it as a stopover, we were pleased to stay for two weeks and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. I would add one or two observations, not as a criticism, but information for travellers. There are no cooking facilities in the room, tea and coffee making facilities only, and a toaster if you ask for it. Our room had no safety box. There was no drawer space for clothes and limited shelving. The only table is on the balcony. This may be a problem for some people. It wasn't for us. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were sorry to leave.

Safe is provided free in all rooms ( we change all our safe with new electronic and that s why there wasn t in your room,but even so we could have provided you a classic safe box if you have asked it at the reception) Once again thank you . Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit
Ich hatte ein geräumiges Zimmer mit Aussicht suf Meer und Fortezza. Es wurde jeden Tag gereinigt. Das Frühstück war gut. Für mich ist es ein Hotel zum Wohlfühlen. Trotz Buchungsfehler meinerseits kam man mir sehr entgegen. Großer Dank dafür! Ich komme gerne wieder.

L'accueil est excellent et le personnel chaleureux et très à l'écoute. Bon emplacement face à la mer. Entetien très soigné de l'établissement. Nous avons eu un problème de valises non restituées à l'aéroport. Nous ne parlons ni anglais ni grec. Nous avons apprécié l'hôtesse d'accueil qui parlait français et qui a déployé toute l'énergie nécessaire pour faciliter la récupération rapide de nos bagages. Un grand MERCI à Tatiana ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour d'une semaine dans cet hôtel et nous le recommandons en toute confiance.

Desde que llegamos Stellios nos atendió con un 200% de actitud y servicio a las 2am que llegamos... es un hotel muy bien ubicado si vas a pie, bus o carro, una piscina adecuada para descansar, una playa al frente que puedes disfrutar, un supermercado al frente 24 horas por si necesitas algo, una habitacion muy cómoda, un precio barato de acuerdo a lo anterior y lo mejor una atención espectacular para darte todas las comodidades y recomendarte lo mejor de Creta!!!

酒店外在条件和位置都还好，就是室内弄了一个不伦不类的电磁炉和水槽，但是其实不具备做饭的条件，还把屋子弄的很小，床也小，好在面对大海，有阳台，凑合吧。

Nous avons passés 10 jours dans cet hôtel, il dispose d'un personnel et d'un patron plus qu'agréable. Le patron est extra, très à l'écoute malgré la barrière de la langue! Il nous a donné des conseils, des solutions pour nos déplacements dans les différents endroits que nous avons visité! Nous avions une chambre avec une petite kitchenette, avec un balcon qui donne vue sur la mer. La grande plage était à 25 minutes à pieds (très rapide en longeant la mer et le port) et 10 minutes en vélo (disponible à l'hôtel). La station de bus était à 5 minutes à pied, le centre ville à 10 minutes à pied, tout était à proximité. Pour la ville très jolie, de plus nous étions à 1h-1h30 en voiture de tout ce que nous avons voulu visiter nous sommes même descendu dans le sud de la crête! Pour arriver depuis l'aéroport nous avons pris des bus (peu cher) Nous avons passés nos meilleurs vacances, d'une car la crête réserve bien des merveille ! De plus le personnel était au top toujours à notre écoute, le patron était top sympa et joviale ! La propreté était nickel, on partait le matin le soir les draps et serviettes était changés ! L'hotel dispose d'une piscine plus qu'appréciable après une bonne journée de visite à l'extérieur. Je recommande Rethymnon et je recommande l'Archipelagos résidence je ne regrette pas du tout mon choix. Merci au patron pour ce séjour très agréable !!! Les Francais Sarah & Elie.

Best host and view ever!!!
We were here for our honeymoon. From day one the host and his staff were very nice. Mr. Stellios showed us the best places in Rethmynon and surroundings. He also had very nice tips for restaurants, etc.. When we hired a quad to explore the Island, he told us the nicest spots and ways to go. The hotel also had bikes which we could lend all the time to go to the centre (15 min. walk) or the beach. We had a room with sea view. The view was exceptional. It's just exactly as in all the pictures. Our room was a bit old, but very clean. Everyting worked. They clean it every day. If you like a modern room better, you can choose for this during your booking process. Breakfast was simple but tasty. The pool was very nice and there is a pool bar with also very nice personell. We loved every minute of our stay in this hotel and would definitely go back when we visit Crete again!

Good hotel with nice view
We had very good time at Cyprus. The owner of the hotel is very friendly and cooperative. He recommended to us good places for eating and visiting. Stuff changed shower tub by our request. we had room on 5th flour and nice view on harbor and Fortecia, Hotel doesn't have own parking, but it's good free parking near by. The beach near by is public, small, good for children, but doesn't have shower or bathroom.

Il complesso di appartamenti sarebbe valido se gestito in modo diverso. Gli appartamenti/studios sono di diverse tipologie e questo è visibile anche in fase di prenotazione, in quanto ti vengono proposte camere di diversa tipologia con costi diversificati. Noi avevamo prenotato 2 studios vista mare e ci è stato assegnato 1 studio come ci aspettavamo dalla descrizione e l'altro completamente diverso per metratura e per mancanza di vista mare e questo ci ha deluso molto. Solo dopo due giorni di notevoli rimostranze e richiesta intervento ci è stato concesso il cambio studio. Il personale non parla una parola di italiano e anche in inglese abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà. La percezione che abbiamo avuto del personale è stata di poca collaborazione, scarsa empatia e accoglienza. Per il resto la struttura non è male, direttamente sul mare e il centro raggiungibile a piedi.

Misleading from pictures on website
Treatment from staff was mediocre. Room was filled with ants, even on the one bed that our daughter slept on. We would request extra pillows and blankets and would never get It. Would never recommend or go back.
